I don't know if that guy with the M4 went to the dorms or not but soon as he started firing it fucked with me. This game's pretty immersive, but it's a really fun time going low and slow trying not to get plugged.
The Mak is no joke, man, especially with the right ammo. Mak runs are incredibly cost efficient. You ever do Mak runs on Woods at night? It's pretty fun for a change of pace.

SP7 and SP8 do the most damage but has shit penetration while PBM and PMM have higher penetration but more moderate damage

Might as well go full damage desu. 2-3 shots to a limb using a high damage round will be far more effective than taking on their armor. Plus if they're not running armor, which most don't, you'll kill them in 2 shots compared to another average round that takes 3 shots.

Tarkov and Hired Ops seem to share the exact same systems, weaponry, rendering, textures, assets, etc. It even uses the same weapon customization system but applied to a terrible F2P model.
Kinda interesting to see how much has been ripped wholesale from Contract Wars and how much DNA Tarkov and Hired Ops share currently.

The definitive answer is no, offline doesn't track progress, unless the game fucks up and makes you lose your shit anyway (which I've had happen once ever in offline mode).

If I wanted a KoS I would've played something different. I bought Tarkov on premise of it having people working together. Obviously, right now with no VoIP and no karma PMCs shoot each other on sight, which is fine, but I expected more from Scavs.
People are going to shoot eachother on sight unless you -physically prevent them from doing so- OR you make the consequences for doing so SO severe & SO consistent (lol no 'accident' forgiveness) it makes people avoid it even in some of the most highly-rewarding situations you can think of.

Because they're virtually indistinguishable from each other in that split second you have to make a decision whether to shoot or not.

As it shown in the game Scavs right now are a faction. They work together, they don't fight with each other, and most importantly, they become aggressive if you kill one of them while playing as Scav.
The fact being alone should rightfully fuck you hard, even they would assume PMCs are co-operating.
The only circumstance should be good shit being found near evac, starting loot should not be a goal.
new idea; new faction:
Scavs that get bad karma get locked into loner
Get greatly reduced frequency they can play "scav", so they're forced to be PMC more often
You can start with some better gear though to be scarier to PMCs.
Really though they also need to seriously increase the size of maps to help with this.
Saw some post on the forums that actually had a good idea for karma instead of retarded jams and diseases:
>relation with your faction from 0 to 100
>start at 50
>at 50 you get a shitty pistol and two mags by default like your melee weapon
>at 75 you get a rig and some medical items as above
>at 100 you get the above and a shitty smg or a shotgun
>below 50 you only get your usual melee weapon
>goes up by killing the opposing faction, down by killing your own (scav kills don't affect it)
>below 25 you lose your faction patches/symbols and players of your own faction don't lose relation for killing you
What about people who're going into raid with their own equip? The perks of having good standing are not going to affect them. If anything, this idea going only increase hostility of rigged players. Karma has to target meta-game, not player's equipment.
Dunno, tank their trader relations as well? If you can get Prapov to have Fence-tier shitty buy/sell ratios, maybe people with plenty of stuff would think twice. I don't really see jams stopping players from killing others either, they'll just use people's newfound security to get in close and shotgun them in the back at point blank.
Yeah I don't like the idea of jamming and such, but so far devs were surprisingly good where it counts, so I trust they will come up with an adequate solution.

I murder every axe hobo trying to friendly me because I know if they loot any gun they will instantly turn hostile. Or they will try to stab me in the back if I do have a gun.
I like the idea of it affecting trader relations or faction standings. Not some RNG misfire shit. I just hope the devs do a good job with it. So far, they've been great, so I have high hopes.
