The king is back

The king is back.
E63S, CTS V, RS7 had their fun and games, it's time to bow to the Benchmark again.

>No manual

nobody cared about manuals. waste of money for bmw.

>15mpg city

Why the fuck do they need turbochargers then?
Just put a 7L v8 in it

>Why the fuck do they need turbochargers
to meet Euro 6 standards

2.8 0-60? Bullshit it can never hold traction off the line.

>Yurocuck emissions

Ah yes

but obviously it just did.

enjoy your smog

Makes you wonder what small detail they changed at the last minute so they could shave off that last 0.1 second....

Fpbp. No manual no care.

This has become the de facto "I can't afford it" meme response.

E63S does 0-150mph in 16.6 and the 1/4 mile in 11.1 @126 mph which means the M5 will be approximately 7 car lengths ahead at 150 mph.
also keep in mind the base model M5 is supposed to compete with the base model E63, not the E63 S

as if you cared about the manual F10 M5 and F13 M6?

That thing is 4WD now btw

a little uninspiring to use basically the same engine as the last one

Nah I didn't. They're pigfat barges.

yeah your 2500 lbs civic is so much better right?

none of those cars have a manual

AWWW LOOK AT DIS WITTLE QEEUTE THREAD

Cute thread, Veeky Forums, cute little thread.

nice bait

>seats
P I G F A T
I
G
F
A
T

funny how with all the weight savings its still heavier than the m5

no manual

The m5 doesn't have manual either

>4WF
>4
Yeah nah rear-biased partial AWD

Better to die a hero than to let yourself get pigfat and autotragic

Veeky Forums doesnt care if the M5 is auto only, but goes batshit crazy when the giulia didnt get manuel in the us

because the giulia is supposed to be a light, fun, sporty saloon while the m5 is a fat grand tourer

They're both luxury sedans.

Get an MX-5.

yeah and the s class is a luxury sedan too.
>what are car classes

DROPPED

AUTOMATIC

And the S-Class is better at being a luxury sedan than any M5 or Giulia could ever be, correct.

So why does everyone settle for less?

because the s class lacks the performance of a m5

>one seat
It is for you virgin betacuck

TFW Clean air

Tell yourself that.

>too broke to experience a proper duel clutch
>thinks manual is still the best option
Only poor people think this.

>but muh driving enthusiasm

HAHAHA WHAT? Are you serious?
>ameriscum engineering

>When fluid temperatures are right, the computer allows the engine to rev to nearly 3000 rpm, and the rear tires start spinning as if the M5 were rear-wheel drive. Release the brakes, the front wheels kick in, and the M5 pounds forward. In 2.8 seconds you’re at 60 mph and in 10.9 you’re whisked through the quarter-mile at 129 mph.
weird. but how would this work at a drag strip? you cant exactly just sit there doing a brakestand once youre staged. i mean, come to think of it i dont think there are any rules against it, but ive literally never seen anyone do that in all my years of drag racing.

late model holdens are the definition of pigfat

nevermind, i just watched a few videos and that article is full of shit. it doesnt do brakestands, it just squats and then takes off like every other awd car when brake torquing. why would they write this?

Still weighs less than an m5

...

>1866kg
new m5 has a reported weight of 1850kg
plus the m5 is all wheel drive

>2 tons
>autotragic
>rear bench
dropped

still faster than your stripped 1500lb “”sports car”” lmao

On a racetrack? Doubt it.

it probably is.
see the new x5m and x6m those are tanks that outperform many “”sports cars”” on track.

rolling 5-60 3.7 seconds
standing 0-60 2.8 seconds

am I missing something here?

0-60 uses computer launch control

they tested the rolling start in RWD mode

>driving your own S-Class

that makes sense then, cheers!

times change. owners now more often prefer driving their own bentleys and rolls too.

They also did the world record 8 hour drift with this thing, fucking amazing car overall

Where the fuck in NJ is there a desert?

Holy fuck this thread is full of poorfags sperging about muh no manual when they can't even afford to buy a full tank of premium

thats the false m5
pic related was the true successor to the m5

nope
m5 was always about the highest performance
muh feels and muh handling is for the m3

>m5 is performance
>m3 is handling
whats the difference

m3 is more fun to drive but m5 mops the floor with the m3 when it comes to outright performance numbers

pleb really thinks people drive their own rolls....bentley maybe but thats because theyre cheap pieces of shit compared to a rolls royce

you can just say you don't know
i won't judge you lad

M3 is more track oriented and M5 is more autobahn oriented.

people do drive their own Rolls.
I watched a video interview about the new Phantom and they stated how they still put effort on the driving experience as “more and more” owners prefer driving their own hyper luxury cars

the intelligent post

Shit meme

600hp mated to a manual transmission is not really a good time, if you've ever driven a powerful car you'd understand that

besides, only arab cucks and chinks will buy this, and they can't drive stick

>turbocharged V8

fucking gay, supercharge or nothing

funny enoughthey have the same exact tranny.

>alpina
>shit
yeah okay bud

>i can afford a 60k car
>i can't afford to pay 2k extra for an automatic gearbox
WHY ARE AUTOTARDS SO STUPID REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

They are shit and nobody buys them and you will never afford them.

>4200lbs
>2.8s to 60mph
>600hp
it’s closer to 700hp in real life

it really probably is. The power makes up for agility and desu they are pretty agile anyway.

reminder that the pigfat suv x6m was faster than the m3 f80 on some tracks lol

i have an M5 now. And if i'm getting rid of it, i'm definately getting an Alpina

yeah thats all salesmen talk while im sure there are a few people who do there they make up less than 1% of rolls royce owners

I still would a e63s because of no manual the car is suppost to be comfy.

>supercharge or nothing
user, ain't nobody got time to listen to that supercharger whine.

most rolls i see in the UK only have a driver with no passengers so it may be true

>definately
You aren't getting one lol

>has been seen riding around the Memering
>no one went through the trouble of timing the laps
Are Germcucks braindead? Do I need to go there myself and time people's laps?

according to early reviews the m5 is more comfortable than e63s though.

pretty much actually. GRAND TOURER.

Allthough the M5 is really good on a track too.

Veeky Forums is so confused by this. It weighs so much what is going on?

M5 is sexy but I still would take the M2 over it ANY DAY.

Aren't fast laps banned at the burgerkingring?

care to explain why a manual car isnt good over 600 hp, considering basically all modified cars over 600 hp are manual. As well superchargers are for poor cunts who cant afford proper sequential turbo systems that eliminate all the "but mah supy chargy no lag" argument. Anyone knows that if you're putting down real power you go with turbos.

literally every single bmw, benz, porsche etc is tested on the Nurburging
in fact the Kia Stinger is “nurburgring tested” too, Kia advertises the fact everywhere, yet there is no ring time for the stinger lmfao

launch control

and you're deciding that for me?

it can be driven but the M5 is a mid size luxury car. it’s a daily driver/commuter for most owners. good luck in commuting in a 700hp rwd manual car.

all rolls royces come with window shades and tint so since all the people sit in the back you wouldnt see them anyway

supercharger whine is fucking beautiful, 1000x better than some shitty turbo toot fart

>mental retardation: the post

youre talking out of your ass the m5 is awd, im still waiting for you to give specific reasoning

It’s because bmw’s main focus is on suspension geometry, minimizing body roll and improving stopping power. They want their cars to handle well because it’s part of the brand identity.

wouldn’t the clutch be heavy as shit and uncomfortable?
also the main reason why the m5 dropped the manual is because it literally didnt sell with manuals anymore.
i’m talking like 1% of all previous gen m5’s was sold with a 6 speed

compared with a kia forte yes but not really considering its a factory system and very computerized/controlled whatever hydraulic system they use is tailored to be comfortable and light considering as you said many people would daily these cars

explain yourself newfag

>the sound of an inefficient compressor is better than power

You and your feelings belong somewhere else.
