Previous thread:

First for I named it 'Daily BMW Thread' but forgot it halfway through and ended up selecting a Honda for the OP.

Since old thread died ill ask again.
Do you guys insure your bikes?
Im assuming most dont make a claim when they drop it and if you total it youre probably dead right?
Looking at bikes in the $5k range and i just feel like paying hundreds a year for bike coverage is pointless.

>Im assuming most dont make a claim when they drop it
do you make a claim when you ding your car in your driveway?

Fuck off cuck no bmw cucks in dbt

Post yfw i pay 2600/year to insure a $2800 bike

I will now just to spite you

>
>Post yfw i pay 2600/year to insure a $2800 bike
Hey colin

>mfw working for insurance company
thanks user.
AAA.

...

?

I have maxed coverage on an FZ09 and it's like $366/year.

Honda only sold like 4k of those cuckmachines world wide

I pay less than that to fully insure a $25k bike

Are you 18yo?
I bet the auto tranny is partially to blame.

I don't understand why Honda is trying to hard to turn all their bikes into automatic scooters
Is there even a market for it?

S1000R fully covered was about $1000 per year

Basic coverage for me is like 99 a year. Then again my state doesn't require insurance so I don't have any.

Yes. I'm insured for all sorts of things so I'll still get paid millions if I'm in a serious accident and the other person doesn't have insurance. Or if I'm just walking down the street and get hit, if the bike gets stolen, crashed, hit in a parking lot, etc.

Lets hope not. But they are indeed shoving that automatic everywhere. Bikes like the Africa Twin and VFR 1200 really don't need it at all AFAIK.

Post your R user, they're cute

It was because it was ugly as hell and only catered to fedora wearers but their mums wouldnt let them ride them.

There really isnt, they sold rebels like hot cakes and it was beginners buying them. So theres no point for dct bikes.

He cant post something he dosent have.

>25 and married
>Basic liability costs me 450 a year
>but the wifes car insurance went down 1200 a year because BUNDLING
Geico is weird.

>cute
don't lie to the man

aesthetic gear. Love me some moto-fashion.

What's the smallest 4 stroke bike you would own?
I don't think I'd want anything smaller than 250

400

>Does 100+mpg in front of you.
Nothing personal, kid.

In the viffer it's real nice
Crank antiwheelie to the max and it's a great stoplight racer
On the highway it makes no difference one you're in top gear

Does that thing even get over 35mph?

Over 35? Boy, the CG 125 is capable of going up to SEVENTY MILES PER HOUR!

Sort of.

*down hill with a tail wind

Downhill with a 50mph tail wind and drafting a semi-truck? Or do you mean lifting the wheel off the ground and going WOT?

>Japscrap 125s struggle to get to highway speeds
>Italian 50s get to 110 with ease

so am i supposed to clean my chain and lubricate it, or just lubricate it? cause i've been getting conflicting messages about it.

2t doesn't count.
You guys are very rude.

Immediately after riding, clean with kerosene and lube with chain lubricant.

If its dirty - clean and lube
If its dry - lube

will WD-40 work as a cleaner?

wrong european brand

chain maintenance is for fags

Yes but not a lubricant

...

Do the kerosene lighter trick.
>Clean chain with kerosene
>Using a lighter, light up the kerosene
>Put it out after a few secs
>Lube chain

I do this on all my bikes to keep my chains clean.

Pray to God I never become a dictator because if I do all you KTM fags will go in work camps for your hooning around with fartcan dirtbike exhausts.

...

the early 2k's were a mistake man, those things are so unbearably goofy in offends me that they were permitted onto the showroom floor

>work camps
>not gas camps

a merciful dictator i see

ngl, I'd ride one of these scooters to work or a beer-run, but I don't think its 35+mpg advantage trumps any other motorcycle aspect.

death is an easy escape for them

...

It's also cheap af and reliable like nothing else.

And it's not a scooter, reee.

>buy cheap shorty levers from China
>Read horror stories online about brake locking up
>Assembly is shit
>Throw them in the bin

>Look up good quality shorties
>$170 a set
Why isn't there a mid range? Cost price can't be more than $30

And the hondas play it safe again and avoid being massacred.

I never see 16 y/o dimpledicks hooning on fartcanned 125cc Hondas. They all ride KTM without an exception.

shorty levers are a meme.

I have you beat, 2600$ a year, bi-monthly payments over the summer, on a 2000$ 250 cruiser with 20 horsepower.

I hate Toronto.

You don't insure the bike's value, you insure the damage you're expected to cause to others.

Cause the hondas are either hooning in the dirt or going 30mph on a grom trying to wheelie.

I am in peterborough so its not as bad for me as it could be. Toronto sucks

Hi keeno
Ree
Yep, and in ontario
Still doesnt make any sense because it costs pretty much the same to insure a car, and a car is gonna fuck shit up alot more in a crash

Shoulda kept the china ones. Its an easy fix to make sure they dont lock

1000 a year for my bike from the dealer.

>$15,000 bike
>Risking brake lock up from $25 eBay levers
Think I'll keep them in the trash bud

Ok then Mr. Snobby McSnob face.
Did Jeevs not wipe your ass correctly today?

Actually I just figured out you were 18, makes sense man, I just turned 20 so my rates are shit.

I know its a bit of a trek for you, but you ever made it out to Leslie and Lakeshore during the summer? Cause fuck if you want a nice ride and a fantastic street show, I highly recommend it

>muh $15k bike
>cheaps out on levers
Kek

Well cheaping out on things has worked out great for other parts. Tinted double bubble windscreen I got from China for $17, no difference a year on to my buddies $100 one. Tank pads for $15 (also a year old) lasted better than my previous bikes $60 branded set. $12 rear bobbins are perfect. $30 seat cowl is identical (probably same factory) as $180 one. I had a $100 mid pipe + exhaust which I loved, ended up with a $900 Yoshi and for the life of me can't hear a difference between the 2.

How's your $1000 250cc cuck bike?

>Wastes money on branded goods also from China for 100% mark up
>Can't afford 15k bike

Nice try steering the focus away from the fact that you dont know how to use a file to make brake levers work

Wew

No ive never been, i try to avoid toronto really because my bike isnt really great on the highway and i hate the 401. I usually just ride north and ride up around the haliburton area

It's hard not to buy from a brand that actually puts time and effort into R&D

Wew what the fuck? I live in the dutch caliphate, own a dorsoduro 750 and pay 14,xx eurobucks per month for legal liability, theft, vandalism, weather (storm, hail), etc. Basically everything apart from tipping it over in a garage or something. I do have 9 years without claims though which is what our insurance premiums arare largely dependent on

>Keep
>Throwing
>Money

im gay

Who else bought a based moto jacket this week? This is now a good feels thread.

I can't wait to lower this, extend the swingarm, and put chrome spikes on err thing.

I actually bought this a month or so ago but I'll post it again so you won't be ronery

You know, I could swear you were a quiet and reserved user up until a week ago.

You mean before everyone started giving him attention?

stop posting my bikes

>look at daddys bikes im special

resident nobike here

Is that the Celer? I was thinking about getting the perforated GP plus rv2 airflow but I ride a cafe bike and didn’t want to look like a wannabe sportbike rider

>I ride a cafe bike and I'm obsessed with how I look

>things angry poor faggots say

Don’t worry mang we all /nobike/ here

I've got a sweet deal on this jacket not long ago.
Its masively better than the one I had before.

Your mum doesn’t mind how I look

Looks /comfy/

You realize it's not him posting that stuff right?
You retards are incredibly gullible, it's embarrassing.

Does Joe Rocket make good jackets? $300 seems steep, considering there are copycats on amazon for $100.

It's the Atem. Jackets are just jackets, get what will protect you best. The GP Plus R is pretty understated anyway IMO.

>wearing gear

Alri nerds

300 for a leather jacket doesn't sound very steep

Post YOUR bike[s]

$300 is the lower end of leather jackets that will actually protect you

Nigga that's the cheap end. Joe rocket is decent though

Is it worth buying a Sena 30k, or should I just get a 20EVO?

I want something that doesn't make me look like a complete nerd with logos and other "I'M A MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIAST" appearance styling.
