- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana brought by NISA. Please complain to Falcom, not XSEED (they're upset about it too). Good Japanese grammar is extremely recommended.
>Elliot's side of town, everybody loves the cute femboy.
>Machias' side, BULLYING.

Anyone here knows if CS2 will be on pc?
Chase Collins
Later this year
Tyler Wood
Durante said it probably won't come out in the next few months, earliest would be December if things go well. They'll also be fixing bugs on CS 1 in the meantime, which i guess also helps for CS 2 since it's the same engine.
Bentley Perry
richard is the gayest character ive ever seen
David Myers
Just finished the first one and seriously, the cliffhanger is frustrating but as I far as I heard trails likes to do these kinds of things so ill go easy on them
Hunter Williams
Bullying is a strong word for what Patiry is attempting to do.
Wyatt Campbell
for a pc port it sure is good quality even better, most of the bugs I experienced so far doesnt seem to hinder gameplay or gamebreaking
Hudson Watson
There have been 3 story arcs so far, and the first game of 2 of them end on wicked cliffhangers. The exception is Zero, which manages to end on a pretty positive note
Jordan Brown
Only bug I've ran into in about 20 hours of play was some oddity with their being massive amounts of bloom. It went away after I went into a house and never ran into it again.
20 hours into the 3rd and it's probably already my favorite game in the series by now. My favorites before that were Zero and (not being ironic) CS2.
Jonathan Thomas
>(not being ironic) Stop giving the shitposter ammo with crap like this. Stand up for the games you like.
The truth is that CS2 had some of the most hype moments in the series. Between the god-tier soundtrack, the fun as fuck combat, and the scenario, I really enjoyed CS2.
Adam Flores
>(not being ironic) CS2 It's a little sad you can't say one of your favorites is a CS game without being accused of being a memer.
Jaxon Foster
I actually like all the games but whenever I say anything positive about CS it's immediately disregarded as bait or one autist insists it's a Reanfag doing damage control. So I mostly gave up posting, but I just finished Kloe's moon door and this is the only place to talk about the series so back here I am.
Carter Jenkins
3rd ended up being my favorite game as well, easily my favorite OST in the series.
The shitposter won't admit it, but those endgame missions leading up to the infernal castle where some of the hypest shit in the series. The soundtrack and fast paced combat really sell the whole atmosphere
Anthony Morris
love it, got a chuckle out of me
you sure user? I mean Rufus full on wrecks your whole crew. and his attack animations and stance are very similiar to arionrhod's lance use (her rapid thrust attacks and his soul slicer move). And since we think Arianrhod is the lance maiden from Erobonia it's likely her fighting style is apart of the noble fencing style
agreed user, I loved all that build up, and infernal castle was great. I hope Falcom streamlines the spell and S-craft animations though, I like to watch but... 10-30sec animations just to get a damage number is a bit much at times.
We need a "short summon" option like FFX had or something
Isaac Reyes
cold steel 2 was mistake
Xavier Wright
Meh, to me the combat was perfect. Cold Steel 2 was one of the few JRPGs where I found myself fighting everything near the end of the game just because I had a blast with the combat.
Isaiah Murphy
Here comes the csfag with a victim complex. Nobody said you couldn't like CS, we're just saying that CS has the 2 worst games in the series. You can have them as your favorite, it just means you have shit taste.
Gavin Mitchell
Where her fuckbuddy went?
Levi Johnson
I liked the combat too user, my grip is just the overly long animations that don't really have business being that long.
Cold steel could use some tweeks to balance out nightmare mode, but other then that I feel like the games combat is in the best places the series has ever been
Kevin Turner
>Patrick has a crush on Rean's sister Kinda cute.
Christian Johnson
Not at all. 2bh I'll be mad if that little shit ever canonically ends up with her
Jordan Morales
post shirley
Brandon Morales
Go to bed Rean.
Jaxon Reyes
I hope we can cockblock Patrick even more in the next games.
Ayden Ortiz
Here you go m8

>same picture >same quality >same filetype >different filesize I never understood this.
How terrible is the leaked zero translation? Should I just wait for the Geofront version to finish?
Wyatt King
zero fan translation is passable, dry but you'll understand what's going on
ao's leaked translation is a train wreck
Owen Taylor
Its awkward in a lot of places but its perfectly playable and you can understand everything. The notebook with spell lists and such is untranslated though. Avoid the current Ao patch though its pretty awful.
Jackson Phillips
Honestly, considering how the current zero leaked translation only needs a little editing of the dialogue and of graphical text, it's a fucking wonder the finished version isn't out yet. Go for the leak, it's plenty acceptable.
Joshua Rodriguez
Cutest TX
Logan Harris
It's sad that Coldsteel is so unbalanced because it would take little to bring it back in line.
Give status effects and evasion diminishing returns, make master quartz physical damage buffs only work on crafts and not s-crafts, make Criminal and Pandora not give any free artes, and make it so that you can't use artes or items after using a chrono burst. There, now you have a balanced game.
Cooper Brooks
It's actually neither of those. Like, it had the same kind of slow chords this one or Armorica Village does. youtube.com/watch?v=aKX4-0VH45s I guess I'll just have to keep looking.
Eli Wilson
How about not caring about balance all that much in the first place? None of the games are hard once you're decked out and know what you're doing, even the 3rd's fight on nightmare against Cassius + Loewe isn't hard at all if you come prepared, every game has an exploitable way to win the game, Cs just happens to have a lot of options in that regard, meanwhile it can kill you in 1 go if you're not careful too.
Isaiah King
You played Zero before the 3rd? That kinda spoils some of the stuff the 3rd tried to set up for it.
Nicholas Price
>Bullying You mean "very angry tsundere"
Carson Diaz
I unironically like the TX version better because she's more expressive there.
Wyatt Williams
Bad but I guess it's passable if you're desperate. Don't think about touching Ao though.
>Damage controlling CSfag Cold Steel is broken from the beginning, at least in other games you have to work to break them, and even then you can't break them as badly as CS.
I believe that aside from Renne, you also get to understand what Estelle is talking about when they first see a demon in the final dungeon, the setting up for Richard's door towards something, but that one is Ao, so doesn't count, and i guess the fact that Estelle and Joshua were going for Crossbell. Now that i think about it, it's not that big of a fun breaker. You should definitely play it before Ao though that's where most stuff related to Kevin makes no sense at all without the 3rd.
>Everything remotely saying CS is okay is met with this mouth breathing retard
Hey, mongoloid, it may surprise you but i like every single one of the games, and that doesn't mean i can't see how the past ones aren't flawed as well. From sky's earth wall, FC's white gehena spam, SC's all area spells and the single target one for almost no EP, the 3rd with Richard and dark matter EX, Zero with combo crafts and not being remotely challenging, Ao with the rough start but still having OP combo crafts, and spark Dyne spam, plus dodge tanking, and one hit Ko with Wazy's S-craft + a master quartz, all of the games have something.
Once again, CS does have more ways to make it easy, but what i'm trying to say is, that despite all of this, all of the games are enjoyable. You can be a tryhard and min/max if you find it fun, or you can go normally and still find a way to win, either way, all the games have that, CS just happens to have more options like i said.
John Green
Whats the point of gaius
Jack Sanchez
Having a well functional member in the team, who doesn't have a tragic past or baggage, he's pretty nice.
Elie is kinda similar in a way, but she still has a troublesome past and baggage.
Robert Stewart
Audience surrogate for CS1. He's pointless in CS2 but you can't just throw him out.
Zachary Cook
a new Gralsritter
Brandon Brooks
Started up Ys I & II. Keep going in release order or start chronologically with Origin after I & II?
Jeremiah Morris
So Olivier has connections in Nord in case he needs to run away from the country.
Logan Reyes
From what I remember, the stuff with the goddesses and sages kind of gets mostly forgotten after that, so breaking the sequence isn't a bad idea. You could catch some stuff you otherwise might forget, like the names of the sages' families.
Samuel Butler
I personally recommend jumping to The Ark of Napishtim first, since that one is on the same engine as Origin and Oath, but the gameplay is hardly as refined as those are, so play the more awkward one first.
After that, go Oath, and then Origin, then you can jump to the party based ones, like Celteta, and seven, and then it's 8.
Liam Bell
What did you guys do with Estelle's orbment set up on the final chapter of SC? She's been a support/spell caster for a while now, but I just unlocked her final S-Craft I think and that shit hits hard. Is it worth it to make her more of an attacker rather than a spellcaster to abuse the damage on that?
I'm playing on normal, so I suppose it doesn't matter either way.
Jeremiah Clark
Dawn of Ys immediately after II No really, actually play it, it has fanservice you'll get because II will still be fresh, and is a good sendoff to the bump system
Then you can move on to Oath/Ark/Origin, and the party ones afterward V optional if you really want to- it's not awful, it just isn't very Ys
Oliver James
>Implying it take's any effort to get White Gehenna or Action quartz or spam Earth Wall >Implying Zero does not just hand you combination crafts as the story progresses I'm only about 10 hours into CS1 but from everything I've heard its broke as fuck too.
Alexander Reyes
Remake release order. Don't bother with V. Maybe play Dawn if you like bumper cars. I don't though.
Nolan Moore
Just give her a ruby gem for extra attack, but keep her for support since she's still not remotely close to the level of power as some of the more focused ones, like Olivier/Kloe for arts, and Agate/Vander for physical.
Connor Kelly
oh i actually forgot that estelle talks anou that. but she also mentions Weissmann but I guess it isnt much of a spolier since u find out his real name later
Blake Scott
You don't even need combo crafts in Zero. The enemies have 0 aggro so it's very easy to backstab them to get team rush.
Austin Lopez
It will never get that bad again, Olivier will just travel across the continent like he would and could now a days..
CS3 might put a political damer on all of that though, considering Osborne is not rreallty dead
Evan Ward
>Weissman I'm sure that user has played SC.
Chase Nguyen
Was talking about bosses in particular. Random encounters were a piss easy for the most part because of the max advantage team rush's. I actually liked that to be honest.
Nolan Cox
For normal encounters sure, but try not using them on a nightmare fresh run against those dragons on top of the tower in chapter 4. They're way faster than you, get almost no damage from physical, and if you are casting, they use a giant showave that deals super damage to everyone all over the map and cancels arts.
Not to mention, when you gotta care for escorts.
Ryan Perry
Thanks. Wanted to get into the series in anticipation for VIII, even though the systems are obviously different. I don't mind the bumper system, so I might give Dawn a try after.
Ethan Scott
>Escorts You can safely ignore them unless it's the prologue boss. Fuck whoever thought that was a good idea.
Benjamin Gonzalez
The system might be different but they mostly play the same. Though, humanoid bosses in newer games are pretty underwhelming because the player's gimmicks are better than theirs.
Joseph Adams
Pre-order her game and give her back her Crossbell.
Dylan Green
Say that to the first time i started the final chapter section before the IBC building. Thug literally got the first turn and one shot both the people i was supposed to protect. Also yeah, fuck that one part in the prologue in particular, getting their attention does nothing.
Angel Roberts
In TiTS you needed to protect yourself with earth wall and heal occasionally. In CS you don't even need that since most bosses won't get a turn. I stopped equipping healing arts after chapter 2 because there's just no need for them. Seriously is there a character that can even TOUCH Rean Schwarzer? Let alone defeat him.
Nicholas Powell
If you're lucky, it won't be necessary yeah, but most bosses have a 20 on AT delay, and others 0, like Gideon, so the gimmick falls short there.
So unless you're the luckiest guy alive, you're gonna need to heal at some point.
Jack King
CS2's final boss literally had to cheat to use his s-craft in the very first turn to force you heal.
Faint, seal and sleep still work. By "won't get a turn" I mean they won't be able to act.
Noah Turner
So user, how are you going to survive her Grand Cross turn steal? Reminder that if it's done in exaltion mode, it's 100% chance to crit, and it may be like 3rd Evo, where she can pierce your immunity.
