Post pictures of your most desired bolt-on with which to bolt on.
Carter Thomas
I want wings, pretty butterfly wings.
Kayden Kelly
Kakos Kong Lord Karlos when
Mason Sanders
I've been gone for a bit, are RAC5s still ridiculously good on the Bushwacker?
Hudson King
Yes
Anthony Brown
Wait RACs are useful on something?
Which variant of Bushwacker?
Luke Foster
Whichever ones can have RT and LT ballistics, I think there's three variants that qualify, it works well on all of them.
Liam Phillips
>people actually voting escort
WHY
Lucas Cox
Because I have an Atlas painted orange that is named VIP
Julian Young
>bolt-ons.
Russ has a very autistic way of renaming his inventions.
Ryder Garcia
Would you have preferred them be called strap-ons? Wait, that would have actually been hilarious. >Wait a sec guys, I need to get this strap-on fitted to my mech before the Solaris match.
Kayden Evans
>drop in FP >Everyone runs laser vomit except the occasional UAC boat or a SRM light mech
Why don't they use something more imaginative.
Jack Rodriguez
>Imagine what the game could be if Ranked match with 8v8 was implemented >They announce a Competitive Play >YES >It's a useless USELESS bullshit no one but 13 people asked for, not enough to do the 16 for one match
WHY IS RUSS SO FUCKING IMBECILE
Hudson Price
Why be less than effective?
Kevin Moore
>all this nonsense from Rustler Bollocks. >his ass sucking NGNG krew's there.shitting high fives and cheers at how grand all his fucked up ideas and horrible trash projects are. >bolt-ons. >lootcrates from overwatch. >no, fuck you, no IK, no maps forever, no nothing.
Fuck is going on in castle pig skull.
Nathan Lewis
No need to Smoke screens never ever, everyone keeps doing pinpoint no repercusions back damage
Lincoln Rodriguez
>cant kill people with missiles/ballistics
David Young
Because energy weapons are the only thing that will last through an entire FP match's worth of targets.
Jonathan Baker
you have 4 mechs, if you arent carrying enough ammo to hit 1000+ damage per mech you are doing it wrong.
Gabriel Baker
>BLR-1G >BSW-X1 >CN9-A(NCIX) I want to try MRMs, but these are the only IS mechs that I have with missile slots. What's my best option for running something with MRMs to get a decent feel for if I like them enough to buy a dedicated MRM mech?
Adrian Morris
Goto bed
Xavier Rogers
They've finally embraced the fact they are a shovelware company once again and are now just looking for monetization methods that have nothing to do with improving the gameplay or features that require lines of code to be created.
Parker Thompson
MRMs are only a viable option if your mech is limited by number of hardpoints instead of tonnage. Otherwise more SRM launchers are better.
Also the spread is worse than clan SRMs with artemis, and clan SRMs are useless at 200+m. Its always hilarious when a MRM boats open up at me at close range and i only take yellow armor damage.
Liam Cox
MRMS are deadly when you start hitting 30+, and no i'm not talking about taking a bunch of mrm 10s to add up. Mrm 60 can destoy a FP turret in one shot, and can rip open most clan mechs as well. They create very little heat for the damage they cause as well, and have a low ghost heat.
Hunter Collins
>using lots and lots of telemetry The "Chris stares at raw statistical data and fucks up the game with shit balance decisions" -telemetry, or the "Piggy turns into Microkike and crawls your entire computer with their spyware" -kind of telemetry?
Brayden Sullivan
>Adding yet more separate geometry to mechs when their poo in loo coding kills good PCs with just how horribly they handle draw calls.
I'm already prepared for a sudden unexplicable jump in HW requirements to Arc levels if their quality of work uo to this point is any indication.
Thomas Campbell
...
Angel Wilson
Ive been hit by 2x MRM-30s at close range (200m or less) and taken only yellow damage in a heavy. You might want to try firing 2x MRM-30s at a target in the testing grounds to see the % damage done and then take into account that includes hitting every location, even the legs.
Christian Adams
what happened to paul who used to be in charge of balance? Did he get fired?
Benjamin Morris
...
Tyler Brown
Anyone know how to stop MWO from stuttering? Seems to happen everytime the game wants to load animations or sounds.pak.
Mason Watson
Run it from an SSD?
Jeremiah Mitchell
My SSD doesnt have enough space for MWO.
Nathaniel Johnson
Holy shit this is why they're going back to 8v8.
Jackson Wilson
...
Sebastian Barnes
If you're farming match score epeen, you also get bigger numbers for solo-meching the match vs. two-three-four because it doesn't divide the results between multiple robots if none of them are ejected/killed.
Ryan Carter
MRMs were always a saturation weapon in TT, too- so you get lots of damage but not much of it goes to any one spot.
On the other hand, it's stupidly easy to chuck 60 MRMs at a target. Kills slower per missile than even LRM fire, but you're putting a lot more missiles in the target's direction so it somewhat makes up for it.
Still, it's spread damage. You will never kill fast with MRMs.
Colton James
Nah, cause they're still doing 12v12 for FW.
The real reason is it compensates somewhat for the shit matchmaker and dwindling player base- 8v8 is less likely to be fueled with pure trash players because the hamster wheels overheated searching for that one last medium to fill the bill.
Connor Green
Question for old Mechwarrior 3 game. Is there a mod that makes the missiles spread out like normal instead of bunching up?
Lucas Allen
Just had a weird game, but for once RNGesus blessed me.
Two heavies on each team, 4 mediums and six lights.
On the other hand, I'd just put a TAG-streakboat together for the event.
One 12-7 win later (nomnomnom enemy light horde, we had a 5-1 lead at one point), I could go back to killing things like a civilized person because 2 TAG kills and done.
Christian Carter
Uh, not true. MRMs have the same damage grouping as LRMs, which is 5 point clusters. SRMs are the crit seekers that are for saturation.
60 MRMs is a lot of tonnage/slots/heat for the damage. Which is not much.
Parker Wilson
Yeah, but you're rolling 2-8 times to hit locations depending on the launcher size. That's a lot of spread (and chances to crit) for a single weapon in TT. LRMs max at 4 potential rolls per launcher. They're not quite LB-X level critseekers, of course but those are tops at it.
Jace Miller
It that supposed to be an Atlas punching a Warhawk?
Robot punching is stupid. Double mass, double energy. Double velocity, quadruple energy. Faster, smaller punches are more effective.
So, bullets.
Levi Turner
What's the best black widow build after civil war
Xavier Thompson
Not the best, but I saw someone fluffing around with roughly this build last night (based on spectating) Ended up with 4 kills and about 900 damage.
Just had a pub match where my entire lance was MLX-G's. These little devils are hilarious.
Joseph Cruz
Fun, but man do the arms get shot off easy.
Zachary Jackson
The problem is they get worse in packs. It only takes one getting on your back long enough to peel the armor off to ruin things in about two seconds, tops.
Also, not much danger early on, but the second you get to having your armor stripped...again, a few seconds of exposure and you won't have much left in that section.
Worth hunting down in other lights though. Every time.
Luis Clark
Linebacker or Warhammer for my next heavy?
What builds to people recommend?
Easton Ortiz
I've actually had a lot of success light-hunting in a MLX-G
Anthony Long
Why doesn't Harmony Gold just fuck off already?
Jordan Ramirez
Why do RACs exist? They seem fairly pointless other than for blinding your opponent.
Ethan Myers
They watched Jin Roh.
Caleb Rivera
What lasers? I find it's tough dueling lights with HSL's, but those are most effective for getting a back open/peeling a damaged section and that's what I need most.
Linebacker if you want a fast one-trick ride (SRMs or ER PPC, but not both), Warhammers are more of a traditional heavy with different potential roles by model.
Eli Sullivan
IS there any Clan Mech that can stand toe to toe with an Annhilator?
Zachary Cox
They do a decent amount of damage and make it tough for an opponent to hit back, and yeah- the blinding effect is often good for letting someone else get away or flank/backstab the distracted target.
Jaxon Green
I... I just... Why? Just why? This is some totalitarian police state bullshit. I think I'm done with this game.
Landon Richardson
Let's see. Meme penis, basically "fuck", wordfilter friendly edition repeatedly, references to oral sex and the top kekker of them all, Trump because Canadians think he's the antichrist. Oh, and racism. Because this isn't /pol/, it's Canada Chat.
Stop being a tard and keep that shit on Mumble.
Kevin Walker
>denying the white privilege myth is racism
Fuck you
Levi Ross
>shit internet won't let me get on mumble or browse websites but somehow lets me browse and post on the 4chins what did they mean by this
>bolts ons >still no custom decals system or better yet something that actually matters for this game what the fuck are they thinking
They exist to appeal to people who like using machine guns but want them mega-sized Like me
Nigger did you really expect old men to understand your shitty memes or laugh at your use of explicit language as if you're hot shit?
Adrian Kelly
And what kind of punishment you've got for that?
John Gonzalez
I'm not a very good light pilot, so I've only been using mine as a fourth drop in FP.
If I end up dropping in my fourth mech, the match is either already lost and I'm just trying to squeeze an extra kill or two in off beat up mechs before it's over, or victory is imminent anyway.
Still fun for that.
>lel guys look at my hilarious memes >threw some /pol/ in too for good measure
Children please go.
Jeremiah Jones
Linebacker is pretty good. It's fast for a heavy, but it's also a little light on free weight.
If you like pod set quirks, you can go for the C, which is ideal for my favorite setup, 6MPL + 2(or 3)LMGs. If you like ERPPCs, the Prime is alright for that, but you would have to break the pod set bonus if you want them on high mounts for hill peeking, at which point any variant will work fine. They can also do 6SRM6 quite well, which again requires pod set to be broken so the base doesn't really matter.
In the case that you don't care about pod sets, I'd suggest getting the B or D due to slightly better twist angles than the rest.
Juan Collins
Was the final scene in nexus, dare I say, kino?
Jeremiah Nguyen
Annihilator is pretty much at the top of the heap right now as far as assaults go. You could probably give one pause with a well kitted Kodiak or Dire Wolf, but it's still going to be ugly.
Camden Adams
>mechbays half price Just in time, since I was starting to really need more empty bays. Now I need some mechs to work towards filling my new bays with. I especially need some fun IS mechs that have a decent variety of build options and/or can make good use of nutech. Currently I'm considering a Catapult of some kind, likely the K2 for heavy PPCs, but might get a missile one instead if there's something better for HPPC use. Other than that, I only have some vague ideas on what else I want, so I'm looking for suggestions.
Henry Long
>Nigger did you really expect old men to understand your shitty memes or laugh at your use of explicit language as if you're hot shit? Holy shit dude, it's just playful banter. I was responding to a guy who was also memeing.
Since I've been banned before for similar inoffensive banter, 1 week ban.
>lel guys look at my hilarious memes >threw some /pol/ in too for good measure You can think it's cringey faggy meme shit all you want, still doesn't justify punishment, nor does expressing your political pride. Seriously, how is a political slogan offensive, especially if you feel prideful about its genuity? And white privilege objectively does not exist, but I guess stating facts is racist in Cuckada.
Asher Miller
Looks like patience has none.
Gabriel Jones
>still doesn't justify punishment
Look, I actually agree with you here. I think that chat should be unmoderated besides preventing spam. Game chat isn't a democracy though, and your ideals mean absolutely nothing in the context.
I'm just saying you shouldn't be that surprised that your /pol/ack memetic bullshit got you a temporary chat ban.
Joshua Cox
What are you running, a 100g SSD?
Owen Cox
Yes.
But the ultimate kino is dodging satellite lasers in Silent Line.
Aiden Butler
Because you can't tell a hookworm not to be a parasite. Then it dies.
Juan Gray
>dodging satellite lasers in Silent Line I do not remember this but I will believe it
>those bio creatures you had to figure out how to kill and then kill in vanilla AC3 now THAT I remember. Annoying fucking mission that was. Also the one mission you had to get something from a sinking shit and had to blow some fucker up in order to get thing. Shit had my heart racing
David Edwards
Not saying it is, but Patience probably pops bluepills like candy. Canadian = trigger warning online.
Besides, any significant bantz is likely seen (rightfully) as player repellent, ever if they're T5 scrubtards that can't even fire lurms half the time, much less aim and move at the same time. PGI prizes stupid players, they're more likely to feed the pig.
Bentley Phillips
OK, we have the next three months worth of roadmap.
Mostly shit, of course. But after the Trannytoes release, it's an IS medium, then a Clan light, then a Clan medium. Given the froth about it, Pirahna is likely the Clan light. Which mediums?
"New Supply Cache system Also currently planned to release alongside Solaris, the current Supply Cache system will be undergoing significant revisions aimed at making the Caches more accessible and more rewarding. Rather than viewing the contents of each Cache prior to opening, and then receiving only one of the included items, the new system is geared at providing you with all the items within the Cache but without the ability to see its contents prior to opening. We will also be phasing out the Supply Cache Key system altogether; if you have a Cache in your inventory you'll simply be able to open it and get the goods, with no key or additional requirement needed. You can expect more details regarding the new Cache system, along with details regarding the transition from the existing Cache and Key system to the new Supply Cache system, as we near its release next year."
Oh okay but I assume the rewards are going to get nerfed considering they won't require keys anymore.
The current engine can't handle the speeds the Fire Moth would be moving at.
Charles Gutierrez
Don't kid yourself, they won't allow it to.
Jordan Jones
It'll be the Urbanmech IIC. Don't kid yourself thinking it'll be anything else.
Caleb Roberts
Incidentally, this means it's worth it to simply stockpile the caches you're getting, rather than leaking MC away one cache piss at a time.
Isaiah Martin
If the MASC only provides acceleration bonuses and not top speed, it'll be fine.
Henry Gutierrez
>I'd mind a Clantech Urbie
Finally, the last piece for Community Warfare would fall into place. Urbie wars.
Andrew Howard
>not using hoverlegs for maximum sped
Jack Russell
>Using alt account >Run into kong in tier 5
Colton Cox
There are no tiers, the community is that dead.
Asher Torres
How's the BT beta treating you?
Firestarters are still a meme in any game except for Mechcommander, why did they even hit flamers with a limited ammo nerfbat holy shit. Multi target still the worst ability and the one that gets the AI killed more than anything because it turns off their brains in regards to heat management.
Hoverlegs can't hop like other legs and so consume a shit ton of energy to boost around normally for only a marginal speed increase. At least quads can fire big guns.
Henry Gonzalez
I got my kickstarter refunded. I didn't like it. They're adding stupid shit and I have my doubts they'll ever get multiplayer working right for 4 v 4, which is what my battletech group wants to do. We all got our refunds.
Carter Lee
Hoverlags are trash compared to boost hopping with bipeds. Their energy drain is too high for really little benefit unless you're on one of the "90% of the map is water" missions.
