is it a good idea for a teen who just got his driver license to go out and purchase some ol'classic car.
Worth it?

It depends, on your parents filthy stinking rich and spoil the shit out of you so much so that they'll pay people to search for your rare and expensive maitenece parts, shit out the moolah for those parts, pay mechanics to put in those parts and get them to work, and repeat that process for the entierty of you owning the car?
Or are you experienced and knowledgeable enough constantly maintain a car with old parts that always fail? And do you like cars and mechanic work enough to suffer from not having a running car every single time something in your old piece of shit shits itself because it's an old piece of shit?
Spending all of your money, all of your free time, all of your energy, all of your emotional essense, on a car? Instead of going out with your friends, taking girls out on dates, eating good food, buying video games, going to arcades, etcetera?

can't be worse than buying a lamborghini that caught on fire
I am a car enthusiast and I have done some mechanic work with my uncle. So I'm willing to take responsibility with my action. Also I'm not rich.
My first car was a 71 Super Beetle, which I guess is technically a classic.
However it was a pretty cheap(ish) car to run and it was already dinged up so I didn't feel bad when I put more dings in it.
Bulllllshit, I seen a couple of posts asking Veeky Forums what there first car should the get when they got a driver license.
