Motorcycle

I'm trying to get my first motorcycle after my brother totaled my car, want something that looks and rides similar to pic related, but I'm trying to find a less pricey bike.

>those headlights
it looks scared
or like the grumpy old american distant cousin of a Street Triple

head over to and ask the resident motorcyclists.

Why would you want a bike with the official style preference of the cuck fucktard? Have fun manouvering that sack of shit as your first bike anyway.

What would your recommendation be for a first bike?

>head over to → and ask the resident degenerates.
ftfy

Shut the fuck up faggot. Adults are talking here.

Something that doesn't have near instant torque for your dumbass to whiskey-throttle it into the back of my car. Get a sport-bike, something light in the under 200kg category with seating position further away from the rear axle. Like a naked or something, so when you dank whoolie/not leaning it into the ditch, you won't have as many panels to replace. They're cheaper than those boomerbikes. Otherwise you'll catch faggot from all the fat bearded ballfondlers who like to dress in leather biker gear and meet with other fat bearded ballfondlers, like the next guy I'm replying to.

Go suck some white-haired dick, grandpa, take your blublub faggot bike with you lmao.

Seriously, OP pic related type bikes are for no-leaners and people who don't know how to ride.

My pic related or yours I'm pretty sleep deprived

To clarify, I need something from cruising/long distance

Yours. Me too.

Indian Scout Sixty or Yamaha Bolt

Eat my fucking ass cockqueer. "Get a sportbike" Spoken like the true fucking 20 something no bike. You're fucking worse than the fucking bar hopping harley fags. You probably ride the one semi curvy road in your town once a week and think you're fucking Rossi. If you fucking ride at all.

This is a Christian thread, no swearing

Whats your budget? The new honda rebel is the cheapest in a similar style, a few thousand more and you can get a yamaha bolt, and if you have 12k to spend look inyo the indian scout

the answer is always

GS500
S

There's also more classic cruiser style like kawasaki vulcan and susuki boulevard

Budget below 12

Suzuki Hayabusa with cruising pegs

kawasaki vulcan
honda rebel/shadow
suzuki boulevard
yamaha v-star

t. cagercuck

>implying cruisers under 750 cc aren't fantastic starter bikes

>if you want to look like a faggot and have vague steering and no turning
Yeah, then ofcourse.

Come race me then, no-lean troglodyte. Cruisers and customs are for insecure faggots who can't into corners, it's the faggot hipster bike of an old cocksucker. Just the name Harley-Davidson sounds like a gay porn.

Post bike, faggot

Suzuki VL 1500 LC
Big, comfy, laid back and super cheap. Only down side is the small 4.1 gallon tank(150 mile range).

Here's my main

please dont tell me you actually have LEDs on the hornet

just get some ~600cc UJM

And HIDs. So?

r1

pic related

If you like the Thunderbird, just buy one. I bought mine when they first came out for 12K, I'm sure you can find one used or old stock somewhere for less. Awesome cruisers with about 250 mile range on a tank, I just got the longhaul seat and rivco risers for mine and I can ride it all day with zero discomfort.

They're an excellent bike, but not a first bike.
Did you get the then syandard 1600 or the factory big bore 1700?

This but without the db killer.

>So?
You're a faggot.

1600 had more than enough for me. It's a super easy bike to ride, but it is too heavy for a beginner. Bonnie or speed master would be a better fit.

Take a look at the Honda 750s. Tons of different models to find whatever look you like most. They are also fairly cheap and damn reliable bikes. They are pretty decent starter bikes, not too big or too small. The Rebel is a very good starter bike too but you’ll out grow it extremely fast. I wouldn’t suggest any cruiser under 500cc

Agreed 100%.
On that note, I reckon OP should look at one of the superseded 875 Speedmasters.

Ur mom a gay

My mom doesn't have shitcunt LED accent lighting, so she's not.

I really don’t get buying a cruiser. A touring/sports touring bike is as comfortable but will handle much better (and maybe even have marginal off-pavement ability).

they're too unweidly. if you want that classic look just get a naked/classic bike,

just dont get anything from cuckasaki or hondumb or yamahaha. they are for soyboy cucks.

Ur mum a shit then. Post your gay bike, faggot.

Here you go fagot

Just buy a Yamaha WR 450

Since there are no real answers in this thread, i thought that i'd give you one. The honda Nighthawk is the perfect compromise between comfortable upright riding position, plenty of smooth controllable power that won't kill you like an r6 over 13k, and it still has some cruiser elements to it. also they sound fucking badass. Plus it's a Honda so a tight maintenance schedule doesn't have consequences if neglected. also they're cheap

>tfw no nighthawk

Honda Shadow ftw

tfw nighthawk itty bitty two fiddy

do yourself and your spine a favor and get a bike that requires a better sitting position. Cruiser guys' backs always hurt because the spine jackhammers when you hit a bump.

and you wont be able to lane split in a cruiser.

Too bad that's not your bike, gayboi

>this gayboy fantasy
Don't worry, I'll let you smoke my pole if you so desire. Just leave your shitty LEDs turned off.

Here ya go OP.
Indian Scout. Starting at $9k off the showroom floor.

>nobike thinks he'll get a beej
lol good luck, maybe ask ur mum

Once I graduate from my cheapo starter bike I'm going to buy this.

worth it. Best cruiser bike there is.
Base model: youtube.com/watch?v=lmtM7tZ6ZIY
Sport model: youtube.com/watch?v=G9TBRI3KLxs
Race model: youtube.com/watch?v=UNrQDMZUxKk

and the Sister bike: youtube.com/watch?v=tkBwgSGCEFg

Lmao, they play up the 'We're Indian! Look at these old bikes, we have heritage dammit!' angle so hard. Kind of cringeworthy, but its good advertising and the bikes look stellar.

Their main rival is Harley, and Harley's only sell on nostalgia. That said, Indian is getting all the new young buyers interested in cruisers it seems. Not hard to see why.

>>kawasaki vulcan
>>honda rebel/shadow
>>suzuki boulevard
>>yamaha v-star
You literally listed every bike middle age guys buy when they find out how much new Harleys cost.

Looks pretty 90s. How old are you?

You're thinking of Royal Enfield, for the soyboy who wants a "cafe racer" but doesn't know how to work on bikes so he has Pajeet do it for him.

What? Go on your local CL right now, there should be 2 or 3 for like $1200

Yeah for the scout 60. You can ride it in high heels

42

nice try, I like kawis

also soy is good for your test levels

Beutiful

>buying a huurrley
>when you can just buy a jap cruiser and modify it

top cuckold m8

Get a Honda Rebel 500.

$6000

I like your style.

>Don't go for the cruisers under 750cc that have manageable power and is fine to whip around in the city
>Go straight to a sportbike

Please tell me you're trolling, I'm slightly triggered. At least you gave a mention to naked bikes, those are fantastic

Those old klxs were just perfect.

I have this exact bike. It's wonderful.

It's not just light on maintenance because it's a Honda, but also because it has a shaft drive (no chain) and hydraulic valves (no valve adjustments)

I got it off craigslist for $1800

An aftermarket seat makes it looks more modern too if you want it to be

This

They're pretty sharp bikes t b h

The perfect blend between sportbikekikery and cruiserfaggotry

Just get rid of the dated headlight cowl and that shit would look sharp as fuck

Square qaurter fairing is timeless

As a first and cheap, Japanese (kawasucky, yamaher, shitzuki, honder) 650 from the 80s, should be less than 1k if you hop on a good deal at the right time

But I love the square headlight

It's Robocop as fuck

I live in harleyville

suh dood

jesus christ that is more than what it was sold for when it first came out

That guy's nuts. I got mine for $1600.

Hey fellow hawkfag, do you know if that cam timing mod is worth doing?

Supposedly the stock overlap of intake and exhaust on the Nighthawk 700 is ridiculously long which is what results in low power until high RPM

Supposedly backing both cams back by 1 tooth will add a lot more low end power at the cost of a bit of high end max HP

Do you know anything about this?

In the same way that mega blocks are the same as legos.

>shit seat
>no tach
I found the fork angle weird too, like yeah it looks cool but it's not conducive for snappy handling, which is super disappointing giving the light weight.

The triumph thunderbird is a great first bike. It handles much better than your average cruiser and the extra power will let you escape many dangerous situations.
If you want something cheaper you can always look for gen 1 vmax, if you have the cash you can get an early gen 2. The gen 2 vmax is incredibly reliable and is a perfect novice motorcycling experience. It is stable and planted at any speeds, very compliant suspension, gret brakes and controlable throttle.
If you're into harleys the vrod is an optoin that will also get you a lot of street cred from the Harley guys.

How reliable has it been for you?

I was considering it when I was looking for my first. Got something much lighter. Is the weight noticeable? What sort of power does it have?

Chief > scout

only if you're older than 55

Cruiser life is fun, friend

Cool story, friend :)

It makes 90hp I think

Which doesn't really hold a candle to any modern sportbike, but it still gets going at a nice clip

I don't notice the weight but I am also a pretty big guy myself (6'3, 200lbs)

It's been dead reliable, all I've done with it is change oil and brake fluid and tires and I've had it 2 years.

The main things to look out for are dumb small things like the turn signal mounts cracking up, but you can replace those easy or just do the meme thing and get low profile turn signals mounted somewhere else

Adding to the power feel, it kinda feels like it has VTEC (it doesnt tho), because the power spikes once you hit like 9k rpm or so

What this means is it behaves pretty conservatively at low revs but goes fast when you go to the high revs

It does a quarter mile in 12.0 seconds, goes 0-60 in 3.6 seconds

What’s the verdict on Triumph bikes? Pic related is less than $10k.

I own a 2015 Bonneville t100 and it's amazing, but the suspension sucks.

Owned a Speed Four, selling it was the biggest mistake of my life.

When I got it, it neede some t.l.c but once I'd stripped it down, fixed the stuff that needed doing, it was the best bike I've ever owned, always brought a smile to my face.

Infact my new TT600 (Speed Four with fairing) is being delivered tomorrow and i'm part exchanging my shitty unreliable Buell for it.

Had a guy who lived a few houses down, recently died, but he had a very old Triumph in his garage, cannot remember what it was specificly, but he swore by them, never had an issue with it he couldn't solve himself...knowing the family, the bike got sold off for far less than it should have been fucking cunts.

I hear the suspension on the Street Twins isn't all that great, but they're decent
Personally, I'd save up a couple grand more for a Street Triple R

>Heavier
>Slower
>Air cooled
>More expensive

Sounds great.

Picking one jack-of-all-trades motorcycle and sticking with it is boring, same applies to cars, there is so much out there to enjoy and we have half a century of life to try it all (provided we don't squid too hard and kill ourselves in the process). Dual-sports/adventures/enduros are fun, sport/nakeds are fun, standards/scramblers are fun, mini-bikes are fun, and I'm sure if you rented a cruiser, picked a spot on a map a state away, and rode there and back you'd find they're fun too.

>arguing speed for a cruiser.
Uh huh :)
