I've played Kamidori throughout the weekend and after a while I came to my senses and started to just look stuff up on a wiki.
From there one thing I noticed was that it's suggested that you grind to level 99 at the end of first playthough to be ready for hard NG+ dungeons or something like that.
My question is, are those just extra gameplay challenges, or does the game keep H-scenes hostage behind that stuff?

This has literally been Asagi since her first game, save for a few exception scenes. The TA and even KS series does nothing but rehash and make variations of older scenes for it's sequels. People mention Ingrid's horse man scene so much because it's one of the biggest change of paces from random orcs in a long time. We haven't seen anything done with Asagi come close to her getting impregnated by a horse since TA2, and that came out 10 years ago. It's not only a Sakura thing. Sakura's scenes just feel the most bland because she's meant to be Asagi's jobber character, who has also been very bland in her own right. They both share the same roles when it comes to rape scenes. Asagi just has more plot dedicated to her's, so it feels a little bit more interesting than Sakura getting raped because big sis.

This argument doesn't work when we had pre-TA3 Ingrid who became an instant fan favorite with only 2 existing scenes in the entire series. The same can be said for characters like Oboro who rarely get any scenes at all, or the many others who stand on their own with way less than what Sakura gets. Outside of the giant orc scene and being fucked by a horse, Sakura has already done everything Asagi has. She's already become one of the main focuses of TABA and has much more scenes than Asagi now, but you're still trying to use that excuse of being overshadowed?
