Tfw mr master race

tfw mr master race

feels good

>someone somewhere believes their 30 year old rust prone 4 cylinder car with an engine that is difficult to work on and in the wrong place, and underpowered, is some sort of "master race" vehicle

>being this upset
kek

>oh fuck he's 100% accurate... hehe i'll just tell him he's butthurt

business as usual on Veeky Forums today

>cars have to be fast, safe, easy to drive, easy to work on, or reliable to be master race

LOL you literally made a list of things your shitbox isn't

so what's the redeeming feature? popups?
oh man i'm sure that turns heads fucking Lel

>100% accurate i am le inteleectual grand master
>can't comprehend reading 3 words and an acronym
no you're just a stupid autist being triggered

Is it really worth buying one? I've been looking at a few near me.

I've heard the 1990-1992 models are worse than the later models. Is it that big of a deal?

Also bathurst edition worth it?

don't pull a muscle

yes a fucking reliable midengined affordable sports car is worth it.
ITs up to you
>want muh wedge asthetics, popups and most unique looks in the series combined with the most legendary 4cyl? Aw11.
>Want muh car looking asthetics like ferrari, practicality and mostly believe the 0-60 meme? Sw20 turbo
>want muh above but you for some reason want a worse car in every way? Sw21.
>want muh cute car that weighs nothing, outturns and outbrakes everything? Zzw30 facelift.

reporting in

i just posted an aw11 because i had a pic on my desktop.

i dont actually drive that particular model

>MR2
>Master Race: 2nd Reich
>emblem is the purdy birdy

seems legit

> AW11: cool as fuck, not really fast but really agile and fun. downsides: rust, old and will need lots of parts replaced probably

> SW20 turbo: pretty fast, can make 200+ hp at the wheels with very light mods, most expensive mr2, kind of maintenance intensive, kind of pigfat, pretty bad suspension geometry for the amount of power (people have made 600+ hp on the 3s-gte)

> ZZW30: best chassis and suspension of the three, agile, good touge machine. rattley, convertible, no trunk, not fast in a straight line. 2zz will make it faster than any other stock mr2 though, and a hardtop removes most of the rest of the problems. questionable styling without hardtop

Where my fiero bros at
got 3 in the garage and none of them run lol

Thanks for the info.

SW20 would be the perfect car for me, but my state wont let me drive one for another year. Unfortunately I need a car now, so I think I will get a NA for a year (mk2) and if I enjoy it, upgrade to the turbo.

you are welcome with your ferrari body kit base

zzw30 is faster than almost all bimmers in straight line and 2zz makes it btfo modern performance cars.
MRS is only really good for you if you are going to keep the weight down, practise getting better and not be a retarded fag thinking its some comfymachine, concert hall or stupid shit like that

>master race
Lol thats not a fiero with a supercharged 3800 though

...

What's the go to aftermarket ECU or piggyback for the W30/3rd gen MR2?

o wow
it's the beat-fucker

I have two fieros right now. This ratty shitbox has a vortec 305 from a '97 chevy truck.

what am I looking at here

It's a Fiero without a body kit.

Tfw -6F outside
Tfw mister two refuses to start

lol

master race reporting.

t. Homosexual programming stocking wearing tranny

Why are mr2 owners so gay.
Everyone I've met have are either fags or closeted crossdressers.

for a stock 3rd gen?
it's called a 2zz swap

if its turbo or something idk ask on the forums

Checking in

sick, im working on a 3800 swap like every other fiero owner lol

that one only has a custom front bumper i think, not mine

Just played and waxed it yesterday. Thought I should get a picture before the dust storm rolls in.

4th generation 3SGTE, and E153 transmission among other goodies

> tfw bikes are so slow you can bully them in a meme shitbox

nice. I always smile when I hear that 3800 supercharger whine

>It's a Fiero without a body kit.

i thought the cabin was an integral part of the structure on fieros

Noice. I just recently picked mine up. Are there any common issues to watch out for with these cars?

Have you done any modifications? It looks pretty stock

what year is it and is it a turbo?

is it still supercharged? if not change your badge, get a sticker made in the same font or something

feels so good man

plebs with wrong wheel drive and the engine in the wrong place will seriously never know.

91 turbo.

Does anyone know, could you get a SW22 with an automatic transmission?

>is it still supercharged?
It's a 3SGTE, it's not supercharged. CT20B turbo.

the badges aren't stickers, they're a part of the door trim. I have no plans to remove the badges.

>wrong place

An engine that isn't anywhere near the drive wheels is the definition of "in the wrong place"

wouldn't be hard to get some badges made up in the font saying turbocharged.

but yeah its your car do whatever.

I'm sure it would be possible to commission them, but I can't really justify the cost right now.

Bikers are slow because gravel and potholes

Even on a bike capable of hanging with ferraris at the ring, you don't drift when you run into a lack of traction. You just die.

i know that feel.

would be nice having a mr2 MK1.5

mines isa jap import SC, so mine aren't badges, but stickers. mine also say supercharger, not supercharged.

SW22 is turbo right? In that case, I'm pretty sure they were 5-speed manual only.

to be fair turbocharging is a kind of supercharging

then whats the point of riding a sportbike on the street

>4AGE
>hard to work on
Are you disabled? Not even close to being hard.

Nope, the SW22 would be the 2.2L NA engine. I believe that there was an automatic option for the NA engines.

That car is clean man, I love that two colors. My rear supercharged badge is a sticker but the one on the door panels are an actual raised badge that run the entire length of the door. I know they can be made but I don't know if I would really want one.

Yes then, the n/a versions had an automatic option.
nice trips btw

Which mr2 should I get /mrg/?
I've owned and loved:
Frs, 944, and an rx8
I love pop-ups and i love the looks of the sw20, but of if the money is worth it over the spyder (7k for spyders vs 9k sw20s)

idk*
>Phone posting problems

Should I buy an SW20? I want one from Japan, they are much cleaner. Impossible to find a decent one in florida and if you find a clean turbo sw20 it's not much cheaper than one from Japan

you should be able to get a decent sw20 for 7k ish

is it also going to be your dd?

the spyder has zero storage space, the sw20 at least comes with a boot.+ frunk.

i'd go with the sw20

>aw11 owner

> the spyder has zero storage space
Not true. I fit luggage for a 3 day trip for two people in one. Not a ton but more than people say.

Picking this baby up this weekend

fair enough, but still far less than an sw20 or even the aw11 i'd assume?

Shit dont know why i replied to someone

looks like the place you bought it from is a bit of a dump :O

>In the wrong place

definitely yeah

probs a mx5 fag

>adventure adub

>Nope, the SW22 would be the 2.2L NA engine
SW22s refer to the turbocharged version

>go to visit famous distillery in different state
>its flooded
>staff sent home
>fug

>leave the tarmac
>amateur rally engaged
>get to the tight section
>grandma mode engage

>so many adventures.

>odd has 350,000kms on it now

>slow oil leak
>fugged gearbox
>2 bad rust spots

>many fun times were had

>so many night cruises.

>and the last picture i've taken of it
>now sitting in the backyard
>destined to be a parts car for her better looked after, slightly heavier, younger sister
>feelsbadman

>want AW11
>seems so hard to find recently
>when they are, they're beat to shit/rusted
>overpriced

>mfw

i know the feeling, when the one i bought popped up i jumped on it. it was interstate, bought it sight unseen. had no problems other than the ones the previous owner listed. spent waaaay too much money on it now, but totally worth it.

to add to this. i keep an excel spreadsheet on what i've spent money on for this car

this is both a good and bad idea. haha, it hurts.

who /blacktop aw11/

>asshurt miata lads coming out the woodwork

Get an SW20.

i'd never bother to do the swap, but i'd own one.

i feel like the gains aren't worth the time, better off going towards this IMO

but it is nice to keep it in the engine family.

Turbo vs na? It would be my dd

turbo

n/a

If you have to ask, then NA

>>>/reddit/

What?

The NA is slow as shit but reliable because muh Camry engine

The Turbo cars are much less reliable, but stay on top of maintenance and you will be fine.

Well that is Seattle so you're correct

>aw11

986 is the best midship, it's even affordable

kys toyofags

its also literally 660lbs more than my car and despite that still has macpherson struts.

it's a great car but doesn't give the feeling of a tiny featherweight rattling shitbox

Are there any other affordable mid-engine cars besides the MR2 and Boxster?

Checking in.

Time to hunt for unknown electrical issues.
This is going to be hell

how much? I've been looking in seattle too

How is it finding parts for an aw11? I'm torn between an mr2 or a Miata and parts availability plays a pretty big role in my decision
