Why Choi? I'm almost sure I had Beni, Daimon and Shingo on my team and prayed that at least one of these guys skills activated once per turn.
Tyler Foster
>still having Daimon
user what the fuck
Jordan Fisher
here he is
Noah Roberts
Problem?
Jackson Lewis
Yes, damn it. He's shit. Literally any character works better than him
Kayden Green
His stuns have saved my ads more than once.
Carter Morgan
not the same person, but what is wrong with him? He have a lot of HP and can stun enemies, he is a good tank for me.
Brandon Gray
Thats the problem. Daimon literally has nothing else but stunning. He doesnt buff, debuff or anything. He just stuns.
And considering he specialises in stunnig, his stun rate is abysmal.
Evan Lopez
I hope the user drawfag appears again.
Hunter Williams
My team
Isaac Jones
>He actually recharged.
Jaxson Wright
Is shingo tanking for you? Because he's really not a tank. Any position other than last and he's not doing what he's designed to do.
And kill off Daimon asap.
Shermie's a monster. Working toward Iori and O.Chris?
Jackson Hughes
Trying to avoid dealing with strong opponents in PvP, I presume.
Ryder Green
Since Falcoon's been drawing non-SNK characters too, I wonder if one of these days he'll draw Segata Sanshiro.
I just like the idea of having console mascots drawn in a matching style...
Brandon Myers
Shoutouts to Server 12. Someone invite me to a good club, I can pretend to speak Portuguese.
Easton Gray
i wish he'd use the other more cute shota instead of bao i guess it's up to me
Bentley Cox
...
Camden Anderson
Naturally. O Chris and Iori are monsters
Jordan Rivera
Now this reminds me of the EX games - apparently some people really likes Reiji from EX too... I wonder what's the canonical status of the original cast from those games nowadays...
Maybe Reiji from EX2? I didn't get to play that, but i recall there was supposed to be some connection between them...
Landon Sanders
Is that a loli Chizuru?
Adam Bennett
Nah, Reiji's kid. No idea who the mother is though...
Jeremiah Evans
Man, seems like I missed a lot by not playing those games.
Why is the kid dressed like Chizuru?
Isaiah Anderson
Same clan.
Elijah Wilson
I would marry Reiji
Christian Davis
Compared to other 2d fighters of this gen how hard is KOFXIV in terms of execution and mechanics? Never played a KOF game before but I wanted to give it a try.
Charles Johnson
Is relatively easy, the hardest part is to learn how hop and the proper timing for canceling.
Christian Brooks
Why is hopping hard?
Lucas Evans
That's where my account is. And I don't wanna deal with more people tryna get the bosses. but if you have your account there you can join my club. It's pretty decent
Jacob Ross
How should it have been kept alive? Thread died for a reason. I've been warning against this shit for a long ass time.
Jeremiah Hall
Is hard because no other FG uses the mechanic and thus, is a matter of getting used. It also tends to be harder to pull on pad.
Luke Hill
Apply for Red-Hawk club we do decent at club battles. Specially women day. Plus we have everything unlocked.
Austin Sanders
Don't bother people will barely even read the thread or OP. No one even notices whether the OP is or isn't updated.
One would think with this amount of games and even more characters the risk of thread death wouldn't be so easily prevalent. Don't think this even includes mobile stuff.
Camden Jones
I blame the relatively small presence of SNK in the US
Landon Sanchez
I don't think that is quite the case as there's games not by SNK on one of those lists, but they're on neo geo which means fair game in regards to the thread. Also the people here are already aware of SNK to begin with or the new people are interested about it. It's that people barely even reply to shit that's posted whether it's news, old stuff/trivia, requests for games. Some of it isn't that hard to notice and with the pace this thread moves at even less so. Even when organizing for games the only people who replied were 8 from two threads ago, the same post was copy and pasted on the same thread (3rd post in the thread which isn't hard to notice). With the few people in here for the thread to be alive it is more important to be more proactive in discussions with substance that's just meaningless bumping. When it comes to new info it either goes ignored or very few people notice. Same with the OP posts in general no one notices when they're updated or even link to the previous thread. Recently the only ones that seemed to be discussing stuff were the people trying to get games or as evident with this thread the people posting about mobile stuff, which there is nothing wrong with. And then people wonder why the threads even die. I would love for my points to be proven wrong.
Not necessarily (You)s for the sake of (You)s but some sort of reply relating to the stuff that's posted, in other words some sort of discussion. As mentioned in the past several collaborations with several entities have been mentioned or even the KimiHero rpg, videos have been posted too yet barely any responses to most of them. At most a hand full. One may argue "well we don't know what these things SNK is collaborating with are" well one thing could do is ask what the hell these things SNK is collaborating with are maybe that could get some discussion going. To elaborate on the KimiHero example when videos about it were posted they barely got any replies either. Are people not interested or don't care, that's fine then voice that. Even a "this looks cool/stupid" or "this character looks interesting/retarded" is fine. Even if people with different opinions reply it can generate discussion which means more posts which means the threads being more active. Are people afraid of encountering differing opinions, I hate to bring this up, but is this tumblr or some shit? A different example is the LB discussion, While warning about this then I predicted people barely replying to it and I wasn't wrong. Less than a handfull of other people took part in that, it felt like a good chunk of it was me asking questions about it since I'm not too familiar with it. With the people not replying to game requests, (the last one even asked for availability games and platforms one wanted to play) very few replied (8). So only 8 people here are interested to playing the games with others?
Juan Butler
To add if people reply they mostly seem to notice the stuff that's more negative or critical. Like the Mary/Vanessafag from the past or the guy who was constantly going on about "SNK hipsters" or more recently with the recent interview more people seemed to care about the articles whose language seemed to put things more negatively or in an alarming way rather than the word for word translation one user did or the overview done by another. And even then it was a handfull of people.
In short even if opinions differ why not voice them in regards to the things posted. Are people afraid of arguing or something? What's the point of a thread if it's in constant near death and half the time it's bumped is just pic dumping or going "bump" or random attack name. I don't want these threads to die, but if they're constantly dying why not let them? I would really love for this not to be the case.
Robert Reed
Didn't know where to ask this.
Where can I go to just download bulk mugen characters?
Levi Perry
Damn, two Dinos on the Top. Although none of them using him as Anchor.
Fuck
Daniel Gonzalez
>Are people afraid of arguing or something?
That actually seems like a possibility, or maybe rather than fear is simply lack of interest of engaging on an actual debate
Tyler Jackson
I mean there's nothing wrong with debating among each other. If anything I'd say it makes a thread more lively. Even if people have differing opinions and debate it keeps the threads alive. If the threads keep the way they currently are then it should be no surprise why the threads are dying. Stuff like doesn't exactly help if people are not willing to engage with each other and if that's the case what's the point of keeping these going? I really don't want these threads to go away, but that's the way I see it.
I wouldn't know where, sorry. Isn't there some sort of mugen wiki page, maybe that would help?
A short while back ago he did a poll of what series he should draw next and iirc the CVS series won out. I'm sure that's why he's currently doing capcom characters. He also listed which series he would cover next in the next few months, and if I'm not mistaken it was all SNK stuff besides the CVS choice if I'm not mistaken. If he were to ever draw Segata Sanshiro or stuff from other companies I'm sure they'd look cool.
Zachary Miller
RUGAL IS THE BEST CHARACTER OF ALL TIME, FUCKING FIGHT ME.
Dylan Watson
>Isn't there some sort of mugen wiki page, maybe that would help? Eh, there's a wiki but it sucks. There use to be a site where you could search through characters, games and even pre-packed MUGENs but I think it died.
I'll give you best fighting game boss user, but best character ever? Nah
Nathaniel Brown
The best fight against him was the one in '94!
Christian Cook
That's not Krizalid.
Zachary Martin
today marks a year since KoF 14 released, how does everyone feel about it after a year?
Leo Brooks
Ugly garbage.
Jack Thompson
Given what SNK had to work with, they did the best they could. The game itself is solid.
Isaiah Anderson
I agree. In fact I've never even beaten him in 94. By comparison in 98 you can cheese Omega Rugal with normal Rugal, or in 98UM you can use Krauser and a different technique to cheese him as well, but 94 is brutal.
Matthew Long
twitter.com/orochinagicom/status/900259110041595904 This isn't even what Oda said in the spanish interview where this all originates. This quote is from that shitty article that came out first which didn't cover everything in the original interview and made it seem worse than what it was. People including gunsmith fell for it.
>¿Podemos esperar una nueva entrega del juego o habrán más actualizaciones para KOF XIV?
>YO: Por el momento no podemos confirmar ni desmentir ninguna de esas dos posibilidades, pero estamos convencidos de que KOF XV será una realidad. En este momento no estamos seguros si habrá un nuevo parche para la XIV, pero definitivamente es una posibilidad.
Translation: >Can we expect another entry of the game or will there be more updates for KoF XIV?
>Oda: For the moment we can't confirm or deny either of the two possibilities, but we are convinced that it will be a reality. At this moment we aren't sure if there will be another patch for XIV, but it is definitely a possibility.
*but we are convinced that KoF XV will be a reality.
David Gray
Not only that, the atmosphere/stage and music. I like how he starts out holding back then once you beat him once he gets serious. I like how when a character crashes on either side the machines get damaged, etc.
Hunter Howard
His music, which is forboding as hell in the first round, before becoming that rock song who's name has changed over the years is actually probably my favorite KOF song behind Geese's theme. The 98 version when fighting Omega Rugal where it says "Makes some noise! Louder!" at the beginning is great. It was used for Rugal round 2 in 94, Omega Rugal in 98, Omega Rugal on that Neo Geo Pocket Color 98 game, and exclusively in the UM version of KOF2002. 95 had a different song, as did the vanilla version of 2002.
Also his stage in 94 in round two actually had the sky glowing red like some kind of bloody hell, I dunno what that was about, but it gave it a cool vibe. That and the fact that his God press move seems to just come out of nowhere more often than anything and smash you into the machines like you said really added to it. Also his fucking screen wide instant leap into grab was utter horseshit, and it cracked me up how he always knew to grab whenever I would try.
fucking cocksucking snk button reading bullshit AI motherfucker
Robert Gutierrez
Fucking Gunsmith can't be arsed to check hia fucking sources and that in turns gets "fans" to lose their minds

Makes me wonder who the biggest eater in all of SNK is.
Jaxon Lee
Chang?
Christian Cruz
Omega Rugal's intro in 98 was also kinda cool. IIt took place in what was clearly his old room on his sunken supercarrier but it had that altar with the skulls all around it pooling to the top with blood, then it sent all it's energy to a core on the wall and showed Rugal rising from a pile of rubble and wires with his bionic eye glowing. He looked like a goofy looking terminator. It was so cheesy I loved it. The japanese horror movie effects with the full screen sudden static tv flashes was a nice touch.
It actually makes me wonder why he's become more of a cyborg as the games have gone on. In 95 he gained this sort of deathly zombie like skin tone, then in 2002 it became pale and nearly white and his intro showed him with a bunch of enormous wires and electronics hooked up to him. Also whenever he would do Kaiser Wave, those Pylons would come out of his back, and the full powered one would have his face become distorted with his jaw hanging down in a very robotic way. I feel like if he comes back in XV, this stuff will likely be sweeped under the rug and never mentioned, with his omega form just being used during super move or as a temporary buff as a super move. Unless they just add it as DLC like Nightmare Geese.
Kayden Moore
Newcomer here, how hard is it to learn Chou in XIV?
Jordan Rodriguez
Choi?
He's relatively beginner friendly but it can lead you to learn some bad habits like over reliance on specials
Brody Martinez
A question that is half off-topic: Is it really a case by case basis for Company A to be allowed to use Company B's characters in a game Company A made?
I'm trying to make a comparison. When SNK as it resurrected into SNK Playmore and bought off ADK, the former made Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and used the characters from the latter's World Heroes and Aggressors of Dark Combat.
Now then, the company I'm comparing SNK with is Sega, who bought off Atlus. Would Sega be allowed to use anyone from Atlus' IPs as it sees fit, or was the Neo Geo Battle Coliseum example I used only something SNK did?
Jose Morgan
the chinese are getting Nameless on KOF98UMOl
Jack Morris
You know what I love about Rugals theme? Instead of conveying that you're about to fight an epic battle between 2 martial arts warriors.
It conveys that you came into the wrong Aircraft carrier, motherfucker.
Aaron Young
God DAMN, they always get the cool shit
Ian Howard
that stage was so good I had to put it in my MUGEN, exact music and everything.
Now, that's a good one. I'm no legal expert, but I guess it would have to do with the terms of their agreements of the merger and whether the IPs themselves are specifically mentioned. Like if company A buys company B then I'd imagine that company B becomes a subsidiary of A. They still own their IPs and stuff and A can't use them as they please but A can tell B make X game and if they like MAYBE,just maybe, give them some cash. I think this is what happened with Sega and Atlus. Since Atlus is technically still around Sega can't quite use Atlus characters as they want.
If the agreement mentions that company A buys company B including assets and IPs then I'm guessing that they can use the IPs as they please in which case company B would cease to exist. In that instance Company A can do as they please with company B's employees/assets. They can either take in their employees or get rid of them etc. If this were the case then Atlus would be no more and Sega would just be the ones making for example the Persona games or Power Instinct. Atlus' name wouldn't even be in the credits or the opening logos since they'd no longer exist.
What happened with SNK and ADK might be something like this: ADK is going under and will cease to exist, nothing that can be done. SNK comes along and says, can't save you, but I can take up World Heroes and maybe some employees. Since ADK is dying they say sure and agree. ADK dies and ceases to exist and SNK are the sole owners of World Heroes. Now SNK can use World Heroes as they please. If SNK hadn't done that then World Heroes would be in a sort of limbo and I think anyone would be able to use them or no one at all, I'm not sure, since the entity who owns the rights doesn't exist and can't use them or be paid to use them. Depending ton where they are WH could've been up for grabs.
Aaron Wood
To add, funnily enough the something similar happened when SNK went under. They were dying and Aruse (pachinko Company) came along and basically bought their IPs and a few of their employees. In that case Aruse was able to start making Pachinkos of SNK's characters. When Eikichi Kawasaki (founder of SNK) made Playmore it technically was a new company and couldn't use old IPs since they were owned by Aruse. They actually had to buy them all back. Yes, they had to buy back KoF, FF, AoF, etc. After that SNK Playmore came into being and was able to do as they pleased with the characters/games.
Josiah Wright
Oh boy not sure if Love will come back since the IP she comes from and along with Sister Quest got taken up by someone else. It would depend on the agreement with whoever took up Sky Love and Sister Quest. Call me crazy, but I think this is why why the Sister Quest RPG got taken down as well as Rhythm of Fighters since it had a song from Sky Love III.
Levi Powell
Not that user, maybe bitch is not the right term, but in their ending she was the no fun allowed of the three.
Luke Wood
>New wave of kof XIV DLC characters >first character revealed >Its John Crawley

Not sure why they would pick him, but I'd be fine with it.
