If there was no pushback mechanic I would agree with the user stating how annoying homing attacks would be, since they're safe on block, but at the same time I thought it was impossible that they removed such a strictly designed counter for homing attacks without changing the frame-data for homing attacks.

At the moment combos seem to do like 50% max but I'm sure once the full game comes out we're going to see higher damage combos. But the scaling is quite serious.
There's still room for a bunch of wake up/entry shenanigans and counter switch is a great defensive mechanic so it's definitely different because just getting hit doesn't mean your character is immediately dead.
