How much of the CC stuff do you think will be lore-breaking?

According to trainwiz some stuff is, but isn't treated as lore friendly.

None. It will be new lore.

Depends on how much work Train gets, then again he's stated he's only in it to try and push his stuff into being canon.

...

Has trainwiz actually done any Fallout lore? New Vegas Railroads was just based off what Obsidian said.

>implying raiders didn't recently break open a top secret military cache full of tacticool modern rifles developed by a mad scientist after the bombs fell

Beth insider here, work on the business side of things so I don't know what the games entale but I know what is coming out, in what order.

>Skyrim/Fallout VR
>New IP
>Fallout 5
>TES6, Fallout sideproject (New Vegas style) shortly after
>New IPs sequel

He has said multiple times all he is after is getting his stuff made into lore, what's funny is this is after being confronted with the any potential negatives this could have on the rest of the community.

I assumed none of this would be taken seriously as canon/lore even if it was official thanks to Bethesda's involvement.

probably not, I think trainwiz is just legitimately autistic

his stuff already made it into legends and ESO and people are taking it seriously.

It has even less chance of being acknowledged long term than New Vegas does.

Dead money is so fucking baaaaaad.

Spotted the brainlet who doesn't have the attention span for stealth gameplay.

You know the stealth is broken in Dead Money even if you do like that stuff, right?

what got in exactly? and the fuck is legends?

Almost all his lore concerning Sotha Sil, it's the only thing he really wrote about.

The only bad part is the very last stretch of the DLC with the shitty stealth section around the last holograms, I think it's really good otherwise. You just have to be patient and inspect your surroundings instead of charging in with a rifle and 50 stimpaks.

Nah, its objectively the best DLC in NV.
You're probably a simpleton who likes OWB.

Legends is Bethesda's half assed attempt to cash in on the Hearthstone craze.

>2k HAM radio
But why

>its objectively the best DLC in NV.
Even going by lore/characters, Honest Hearts is better. Dead Money is objectively the most functionally broken of the NV DLC, with the lack of consideration for Hardcore mechanics and the whole fuck up with security perception.
Doesn't help that very little of the loot/gear has value outside of the DLC itself.

Is anyone comfy here?
Wish it had more content though.

christ, another one? that's what like 6 now that there's a donut one from valve?

the fuck is that

I have 100 stealth and i'm using the stealth mk2 suit.

Its still fucking shit and boring.

That's because the security is supposed to have minimal perception, but they accidentally gave them max perception, not realizing what 0 means.

Probably made by the same guy who did 4k Sweetrolls and Potatoes for Skyrim.

Fallout Shelter? Since im addicted to games its one of those background games you dont play so i get the stuff done.

Fallout Shelter.
It's a decent way to waste precious hours of your life doing nothing meaningful without firing more than one or two neurons at a time.

>very little of the loot/gear has value outside of the DLC itself
Say what now? Not only can you carry a huge pile of old world money and gold out of the place, if you're halfway competent you shpould have enough sierra madre chips to buy a lifetimes worth of weapon repair kits and stimpaks.

It's okay user. It's really only interesting if you can divorce the atmosphere/characters form the game mechanics. It's pretty much NV's Operation Anchorage, a long on-rails segment that favors a specific kind of play style.

Unless you play on "hardcore" mode which apparently some autistic people on Steam do.
Game needs mod support imo, some dedicated modders could make it into a proper thing.

>somehow get to the Capital Wasteland for "business oppertunities"
>manage to secure a luxury hotel and kick out the ugly buglies
>spend the rest of your days shooting wastelanders and ghouls from your balcony for fun

>somehow find your way into the company of Arthur Maxson
>join the Brotherhood of Steel
>become the head of the R&D and archiving division
>get a pet cat

>somehow end up in Nuka World
>have three violent raider gangs that bend the knee, no big deal
>don't even bother turning the power on, doing whatever you fucking want
>everyone is too beta to say anything
>spend most of your days killing scrubs in your ghetto power armour
>get betrayed by some faget with an eyepatch

The Enclave will still be alive in Fallout 5, the new president will be a bong.

cheating on this game is the bes way to play it.

>very little of the loot/gear has value outside of the DLC itself.
>he didn't get all 37 gold bars

Why was the gold in Dead Money so valuable?
I guess gold can useful in circuitry, but the value being as astronomically high as it was seemed odd to me.

>get Shotgun Surgeon and Stay Back! perks as quickly as possible
>stunlock and cripple le spooky ghosts with ease

It's not me who is locked in here with the ghosts, it's them being locked in here with me.

>Not only can you carry a huge pile of old world money and gold out of the place,
That's an unintended exploit and you know it. I did it too, but I'm not gonna give the DLC credit for it.
>weapon repair kits and stimpaks.
Really not all that valuable when you are that far into the game, even on the hardest difficulty. Specially when cannibalizing weapons is so viable in NV.

Because greed and taking it too far.
It was the theme of the whole dlc, they couldve gone the other way and made like 1k of em.

also absolutely 0 integration for the weapons and armors if you miss anything or want spares, I get the holorifle but somehow nobody has a .357 snub nose revolver or post war homemade bear trap fist besides one fucked up casino's ruins
not to mention for a 100 guns requirement the BAR is underwhelming

store.steampowered.com/app/598110/Fallout_4__Creation_Club/

These prices can't be right, can they?

To make you feel regret for having to leave it behind. You aren't actually supposed to be able to take it with you.

That's the same price as ESO sells its cash shop credits for.

How many people plays ESO

Not him, but the Holorifle still is a great weapon, it's the only thing that i kept after completing the DLC

More than I expected. They just released a Morrowind expansion and it seems pretty popular.

It's one of the more popular MMOs, but it's also across multiple platforms.

>duh ghos only die if you rip off their arms
>shotguns blow them apart before they even hit the ground
who you gonna call

Depends entirely on the average prices of each piece of content, which we don't know yet.

I know I'll play through the story once after I'm done with The Old Republic.

>1 dollar is 100 credits
That's about what I expected to be honest.

I've done this countless times with Skyrim and FO4. I think the bottom line is that the games are just too fucking big. I want to do everything the game has to offer, but there's just so much that I end up getting burned out before actually finishing the game. I have yet to complete Skyrim's (280 hours logged) and Fallout 4's (452 hours logged) main stories..

it does not matter at all what the fun money costs, what matters is how much fun money (ergo how much real money) goes into each mod, the previews showed like 3-5 dollars for a gun or an armor mod which if they don't correct will be a death knell

The thing I hate most about fallout 4, and skyrim, every "dungeon" is too fucking "video gamey"

One way in, to a blocked off exit door with a chest at the end with literally nothing good inside.

Its fucking retardo

I've never modded NV. What are some of the essentials?

Maybe project nevada restoration project?
Stealth armor so its light? No ammo weight in hc?

A few threads ago there was a map, and it had that Arroyo and a lot of southern Oregon was full-on NCR territory, and then someone else mentioned that it was specifically stated Arroyo was an NCR state. Where is it ever stated that Arroyo is in actuality a state of the NCR?

While Honest Hearts is my favorite DLC, HH has shit design and lore; the whole romanticism of the Sorrows' "innocence" is contrived as shit, and the binary choice at the end is bullshit too. Daniel could easily flee Zion with the Sorrows while Joshua and the Dead Horses hit the White Legs (hell Lore and gameplay wise, it's plausible Joshua Graham and the Courier could wipe out the White Legs themselves without tribal help).

>mfw The Eternal Anglo caused the Great War because they knew after the Resources Wars the only way they could catch up to the Yanks and Chinks was to Nuke 'Em All and reset the playing field

YUP
NVSE
Check the fucking link in the op for the rest

well i'm just asking because Im not sure what people mean by

>playing vanilla NV LOLOLOLOL
I'm not sure what exactly is so terrible about vanilla NV so I assumed there's some sort of overhaul that everyone uses to fix whatever is supposedly broken.

the yukichigai patch

YUP (the unofficial patch, bit vain to name it after himself instead of the game as is tradition but whatever it works)
NVSE, duh
the strip open
NV uncut - outside bets (unlike other restorations it's small things that fit snugly in with vanilla)

Basics: YUP, NVSE, UIO, MCM, NVAC, JIP/ln;
Small fixes/improvements: Delay DLC, Distant Gunfire Sound Fix, Enhanced Camera, Improved LOD Noise Texture, Increased Bullet Impact LOD, JIP Improved Recipe Menu, Less Intrusive Kill Camera, Navmesh Fixes & Improvements, No Ambient Crowd Noise, Ultimate Invisible Wall Remover
Restored & Improved Content: The Strip Open, Outside Bets, Wasteland Uncut, Primm Reputation Restored; Novac Motel Radio Fix, Mojave Outpost Redesigned, Red Rock Canyon Bridge (you have to clean the VenomPass.esp though).

I generally consider these essential, there are more, but beautification and rebalance categories can be subjective to what you're looking for.

Straight vanilla is garbage with horrible balance (buggy weapon classifications too), poor contiguity between exterior and interiors of buildings, horrible UI and crafting menus, garbage immersion and sound problems (poor ambient noise and distance sounds). Mainly it's a matter of polish for the most part.

For New Vegas, are there any mods for hand textures in first-person? I hate having dragonscale skin.

Is anyone able to tell me the name of the artist that drew this? Do they have a portfolio?
Any hype here for Fallout: The Board Game or Fallout Wasteland Warfare?

Yeah, I'm a fan of fantasy flight games and they have the game contract so I'm looking forward to it

legends is a good phonegame

>Fallout 4: The Board Game
FTFY

>poor contiguity between exterior and interiors of buildings
This drives me insane in games, but I can't remember any of that in NV, got some examples?

Three is in it too apparently.

A lot of the interiors are noticeably larger than their exteriors should allow. Of course this should be expected to some degree in games, but sometimes its just Whovian in New Vegas. Wolfhorn Ranch comes to mind.

Does Charisma affect much in F2 or i can simply use speech instead?
Im not going to use companions cept for Myron mule.

nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62151
Try this one

Justin Sweet. He's a pretty famous long time concept artist/illustrator and works a lot in movies now

No idea about a portfolio, but Wasteland Warfare has been on my radar for a while. D20 and D12 wargaming in a Fallout wrapping sounds good to me. And the minis are straight fire.

Afaik charisma affects how many companions you can have with you at a time and the speech stat. So if you don't care about having a bunch of companions you can dump charisma and just put points in speech

It's less vain than labelling it "THE unOFFICIAL FONV BUGFIX PATCH". The author having his name on it means he takes more accountability for it's effects and changes than simply implying something as the "unofficial" end-all patch for a game. YUP is the primary FONV bugfix mod because of positive consensus of what it does, not because it is *The* NV third-party patch.

Most skin texture replacers replace the hand as well. I don't think any just replace the hand textures, but you can do that manually with no problem.

Nipton Town hall was the worst one I remember. There is a lot of ones here and there, many still not really fixed; Crimson Caravan compound has one of the barracks door and building orientations completely reversed between the exterior and interior, drives me nuts. I don't want to remember any more to be honest, it will just rile me up.

Hello friends, in case any of you fine gentlemen are interested in killing some Profligates, I just uploaded my rather large yearly update to Legion Quests Expanded:

nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/60208?

>super mutants are now the basic enemies of the falloutverse
>literally FEV orcs that need the barest shred of explanation to show up anywhere they're needed

I miss the mutant army desu, the M A S T E R did nothing wrong

>top-tier range
>solid damage
>incredible accuracy
>scarcely need to reload
Is there a better weapon in all of Fallout?

It affects the ability to bang and marry one specific whore who fucked the entire village including her brother. Which I always do while using the enhanced Miria mod.

How's this build for FO2
I'm mainly going for boning everyone

>avoid meeting Dogmeat and Preston's group
>start the fort Hagen quest
>wonder how the game will deal with me never meeting Dogmeat
>MMMH, SURE WOULD BE GREAT IF A DOG COULD TRACK HIS SCENT. TURNS OUT I KNOW THAT ONE GERMAN SHEPHERD, LET ME SUMMON HIM FROM ACROSS THE MAP REAL QUICK

I don't even know why I expected anything else.

>Fallout Wasteland Warfare?
wat

Lever-action rifles are the best gunfus. All the sexiness of a shotgun, all the efficiency of a long range weapon.
You can gain 1 agility by sleeping with Kitty's whores if you got the restoration patch, but this is a fine build if you're going vanilla.

BASED

Same. 32mm is a good scale too.

Fallout wargame.

>sure would be great to have a tracking dog right about now
>good thing my synth components allow me to track a man by his scent
>Nick gets down on all fours
Here we go

>We need to find this guy
>Oh this guy? He lives here
>Damn he isn't here
>Its okay the dog can take us to him
Fallout 4 was a fucking mess.

Such a wasted opportunity to take the sense of urgency off the player and let player and character motivation finally merge.

>Kellog is gone
>all Nick has is his file about Kellog with known associates
>character is encouraged to seek out a couple of persons across the commonwealth to gather clues
>can bribe, threaten, convince or kill to gain said clues
>the search for kellogg and the players interest to go out and explore no longer conflict

The entire game is fucking bad, Dead Money is just the shit sprinkles on top.

Nick having some augmented sensors, or finding a mechanics who could augment them, would honestly be a better excuse for deus ex machina bullshit than Dogmeat.

(You)

No NV is a masterpiece.

God I hope they fire this piece of shit.

NV is a masterpiece to people who haven't played 1 and 2. It's not that great. It's okay though, and better than 3 and 4 by a long shot.

Hey remember when Dogmeat was this shitty mutt in a fucking junkyard/town, doing some stupid shit no one cared about except for a select few? Then you either kill those select few, or feed him, and there you go, you got a dog. A dog, going up against Deathclaws and Super Mutants and all kinds of shit, and could die. Completely optional, in a part of the map you didn't even have to go to (less so in 1), and could actually miss completely (also less so in 1), plus he could die, rather easily.

Why do bethesda have such shitty writers on their payroll when they could come here and find better writers?

Well, at least you think its better than 3 and 4.

NMA detected, terminating with extreme prejudice.
