Don't sweat it though, even if you are at 100% progression to next rank any progression you make after that will still be counted towards the next rank. You won't lose any progress from doing more missions even though you're already at 100%.

My favorite part is how the atmospheric dogfighting is exactly the same as the space fighting despite the promise that flying and shooting around in a planet's atmosphere would feel "heavy" and "realistic".
