all aliens must fucking hang.

what does advent burgers taste like?

Chryssalid

What's your ideal end game lineup in WotC?

like those shitty hotdogs you get in a tin

for waterworld?
>2 grenadiers, 1 of each but reaper, skirmisher and psy op

Less than 3 days left, also fuck sonic for this release on tuesday bullshit

I keep reading that as "Wizards of the Coast".

Wew lads. This fucking game...

>advent forge mission, counter is on 1 day left but my team is fukken sick so not a problem
>cheese my way through the level fucking up every alien that makes the mistake of engaging us
>finally get to the end, ready for evac, time to go
>MISSION FAILED
>what the FUCK... Oh yeah, didn't pick up the prototype and evac it
>The whole fucking game, the whooole fucking game Bradford is fucking blabbing down the headphones to do this, to do that, 'don't forget to do this commander, make sure to do that commander, hey stop what you're doing for the 100th time and look at these enemies for like 10 seconds commander' until I'm fucking sick and tired of his lovely gravel laden voice
>The one time it actually matters, the one time I could actually use a reminder about the mission objective before I leave and Bradford is no where to be seen nor heard
>Probably got a mouth full of cock in the rec room bathrooms
>Battle weary team has to suit up and go right the fuck back to fight it out all over again because no one in command reminded me to pick up the fucking prototype.

FUCK just as I think I'm on a roll and let my concentration go for a second this game instantly finds a way to fuck me in the ass.

RELEASE IT NOW YOU FUCKING

WHOOOORE

>"we could use a grenade here"
>spends 5 minutes trying to position it
>"what... why can't... huh..? oh there's wall blocking it, well that's stupid"

Three days. I don't think I'm gonna make it.

>some /xcg/ user will die before the release

It could even be you.

It could even be me!

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>at least one /xcg/ user died before the xcom 2 base game was released

when

At least one /sch/ user died before LW1.0 released

At least one /xcg/ user died before LW1.0 released

>statistically speaking at least 1 (one) XCOM fan died anticipating the Anarchy's Children cosmetics pack
fuck.

Anyone else waiting a month or so to let the mods catch up on War on Chosen before getting it?

if i had to wait any longer i'd kill myself so no

WHAT IF: Vipers can use their tongues to grapple on to surfaces.

I hope bubscan get his stuff updated soon. But he's busy it looks like (perhaps long war or school).

I want a Viper to grapple my surface if you know what I mean.

>Viper lashes her tongue at you
>Uses it like a flail.

>I want a Viper to grapple my surface if you know what I mean.

What did he mean by this?

According to the straight page of voicepack mods on the workshop page, the modders sure are.

>German niggers

I just don't get it

...

Have keys from Greenman Gaming dropped yet?

>tb gets a voicepack
>beaglerush still doesn't have a voicepack

What the fuck is wrong, lads? Why has it taken so long for our salty Aussie cunt to get his own voicepack?

>Sneks still don't have a voicepack where they elongate the "s"

>tb gets a voicepack

what

I thought he died.

What ever happened to that Jake voice pack?

released

I have yet to get mine

Nope, I'm guessing tomorrow or monday

>LONG
>WAR
>2
lol does anyone actually use that trash fire of a mod

Only the poor saps still addicted to the taste of Lump's dick. In a few days, Jake will show us the true meaning of magnificent design.

How bad is it? I only played long dong for xcom1

>Kill all aliens
>1 turn left to evac
>Everyone already took their turn
>lol all your guys got captured

huh

It's not bad, hating on it became a meme

Sounds just like dong 1 then

I consider myself a Classic-tier player, but I'm considering jumping to Legendary for WotC because Classic just seems much more forgiving than the standard game.

CoD WW2 has it worse. You can play as black female German paratroopers

Damn juicy.

It varies from person to person.

>Rendevous mission
>Come across this right at the start

Some meeting place this

Most of my mods are cosmetic and voice packs. I'll wait a week, and that's probably overkill.

I haven't played, but from what I've heard through /v/, the black soldiers are colonial forces from the African fronts of the war. And obviously, you can play whatever you want in the multiplayer battle arenas.

ADVENT aircraft force the Firebrand to withdraw. It doesn't matter what the situation is on the ground if your troops have no one to pick them up.

I'm gonna go to bed, and hope 8-10 hours is enough for some mods to be fixed if needed. If not, I'll grit my teeth and do a semi-clean run.

Does no one else here play mostly vanilla with only cosmetic upgrades?

The only gameplay mods I use are ones to give soldiers extra equipment slots, because the game has a lot of cool gear that almost never gets used because grenades are so essential.

I feel you but then it feels like cheating with that mod.

Cosmetic, voice pack, and quality-of-life mods like Evac All and more camera angles for me. XCOM's balance is pretty finely-tuned, I don't need some seemingly innocuous mod to throw things out of whack.

It makes the game a little easier, yeah, but I don't think it upsets the balance too much. It's also fun if you want to get into personalising your soldiers more, because you can kit them out with all the weird, thematic odds and ends that you'd otherwise have to miss out on.

The only major mod that breaks away from the general setup I use is tactical rigging, simply because I find it absurd that ammo takes a inventory slot. It's also lowers the value of grenadiers because everybody can have 2 types of grenade class equipment

What are you guys expecting from Long War of The Chosen?

I feel like the most obvious change would be making the Advent HQs use the same mapset as the Chosen Bases

But why blacks? I'm sure there were a lot more asians than blacks if we're going to count the 15 blacks that fought in mainland germany.

One thing I really think is total nonsense is that in vanilla you can't remove weapon mods. You can exchange them with the continent bonus but still, what fucking sense does it make to not be able to take a scope off your rifle once it's already on there?

It just makes things obtuse for seemingly no reason.
Things like inventory restrictions make sense from a gameplay standpoint (although there are surely better ways to balance things) but this is just irredeemable. Like the xcom team is using gorilla glue to attach all their equipment or something.

Again, I haven't played the game, but I think some of the single-player takes place on the African front.

Chosen will have more than 5 strengths and will show up more.

I'm expecting it to not exist because they are focusing on Phoenix Point

Agreed, thankfully steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=658977800 exists.

There was a continent bonus for that though.

The continent bonus allows you to exchange them, not remove them

Pavonis is not making Phoenix Point, they are working on some other game (gsg dock iirc)

*xcom not dock, fuck autocorrect

Is this the snake enthusiast thread?

...

Nope, snake-fucking weirdo thread is two doors down, just ignore the sign that says 'industrial blast furnace - caution do no enter" and step inside

...

Yes, you just need to step right into a gas chamber before proceeding though.

...

perfect target for execution via high-caliber firearm or death by napalm strike

god damn we all love alien murder!

Isn't snakes rattling their tail a sign for other creatures to stay away?

>BOSS GET DOWN

Only when it's a rattlesnake or a harmless species that mimics the action against dead leaves and rocks to imitate a rattle. In everything else with a tail it's a sign of fear and nervousness.

He does mention a few times to pick it up and the game even shows you via a cutscene and an indicator, stop blaming Bradford because you're stupid.

Eeeh, wrong user, friendo.

That's a DSP level of fail user

how about taking a car home or someshit, or just lay low in the area and reconnect some time later?

...

You're fighting a guerilla war against a force that controls the entire planet, and if I remember correctly, those missions only take place on urban maps. How far do you think your soldiers can get undetected with checkpoints and those ADVENT towers everywhere?

I don't think you really grasp the position that XCOM is in vis-a-vis ADVENT in this game.

These Breakthroughs that give you an extra weapon upgrade slot will be the death of me.

...

>Play Hitman, I don't even like the game, just bored waiting for WotC
>PC turns off out of nowhere, restarts
>No video feed
>GPU is dead

Is this god punishing me for masturbating to futurama porn?

>controls the entire planet
they control the city centers at best. there are countless resistance, or even just plain civilian hideouts all over and they cant even find a flying city even when its parked out next to them.

And other than the pristine city centers (and even tehre) there is evidence of dissatisfaction all over the place so even in urban areas, there would be XCOM-friendly safedens where they can hide out for a few days, but more than likely they wouldnt even need those since its porven that XCOM operatives can move in low profile, so once immedieate enemies are silenced they are effctively concealed again.

Also, depending on the tech level they could just carve a trail out of the town. If we take a turn to take say 10 sec, and you can take out enemies in 1 turn which is entirely in the realm of possible, then you are just basicaly sprinting across town, decorating the walls with advent as soon as you see them.

Probably should be local gene therapy clinic instead of recruitment centre (since they don't exist) but otherwise 10/10

I'd spam WW2 ports when but then I see this and I'm going "the fuck?"

you've not seen the black female SS troops yet

You'd think so, but in WotC one of the after-mission soundbites mentions ADVENT stepping up its voluntary recruitment efforts. They may not use them for military or security (but who knows, maybe they want someone with a human face for some checkpoints), but they obviously want basic human employees for *something*.

Scientists and stuff.

I think the people from other voluntary recruitment programs just end up on a train to the Black Site user. They need them, yes, as goo.

reeee

I think you're overestimating the stupidity of the general populace. I think they'd catch on if literally everyone who went to a recruitment centre was never seen again, and their families just told they're on a farm where they can run around as much as they want.

Even the Spokesman, when introducing the Avatar Project, sends a list of "disappearances" all over the world. This would seem to imply that individuals are going missing, one here and one there, at a rate that wouldn't raise eyebrows. Even the dumbest civilian is going to notice if everyone who walks into a recruitment center never walks out.

You notice in the new intro that the advent guards speak their gibberish and the scientists respond in english. Wont people think thats odd since everyone should think that advent guards are people?
