We have two tunnels in the state, one is under our downtown area. It goes from 8 lanes each way down to 3 in this tunnel and then immediately grows back. This isn't just a problem around the tunnel but around the state. Highways will go from super large to super narrow
The foreign exchange students (the Chinese in particular) make driving here a dangerous feat. We have constant construction on our ring highways, the ring highways are too large to be useful. Nobody here knows how to drive in the rain and your commute will double in time if it rains. Heavy traffic starts at 8:00 in the morning and begins again for the evening around 3:30

Not exactly a metro, but as a very popular tourist destination there is a tendency for there to be overfilled parking lots, people going below the speed limit, people who break every law and people stuck/ditched in the first hour after the ski lifts close

So I always sit in the wrong lane until the last possible moment and then swerve across three lanes and cut people off in the turning lane. See you tomorrow, user.

Everyone in my area is so poor everyone attempts insurance scams. I have to give several car lengths at make sure they cant brake check me and youre constantly on high alert for peiple ready to swoop in and brake check you. Youre also extremely suspicious of any other driver at a stop light. Driving here constantly has me on edge
