How do dmg buffs affect dmg? If there is .1 second left on a damage buff and I press my global, but the animation and damage number doesn't finish and show up until after the buff wears off, was my dmg affected by the buff?

Are you sure? I'm kinda confused, because I was told positional damage was calculated when you press the button, not when the animation finishes. It seems weird that positionals would calculate when you press the button but not the damage.
Yes. Spam dungeons. Regardless of your party, dungeon spam is the most efficient way. With a tank friend, you'll do it quicker, but even solo DPS queues are the quickest way to grind a job to 70

It's when the damage is thrown out (the number). The animation has nothing to do with it and is often cancellable.
You can compare this to things like succour. The shield isn't instantaneous and the effect actually radiates from the caster, so you'll have cases where some people are shielded before an attack but others are not.

Yes. Animation and whatnot have nothing to do with it, as long as your GCD goes off (and in the case of casts; as long as the cast is beyond its point of where you can cancel it), the buff affects said GCD. is wrong.
