Best chasis you can buy for the price

>Best chasis you can buy for the price
>$70k+ msrp car worth chasis
>built motor+15psi competes with mustang GT and 911 power to weight ratio

This car is a true gift to the car culture
prove me wrong

If it were 20k new maybe. 26k is just silly

Post your FRS instead of the same fucking picture you loser OP

the chassis is shit, not designed for big power.
its only good for drift builds

just buy the 2015 production model lol

OP doesn't have any car he's just here to shitpost

250~350 bhp is all you need unless you plan to drag race. and if you want to drag race properly you should be building your monster ground up

How much does it cost to buy a new BRZ and then put a tarbu on it to make it reliable-fast?

>chasis
Fucking idiot

OP here.

Why do you make these threads? Just make an 86 general you're making us look bad

you want sub 10psi just buy a tarbu kit
you want more than 10psi you wanna swap forged rods and pistons.
you wanna crazy psi swap clutch and tranny

A 70k chassis is a goddamn snek. A fully built 86 is barely worth the cost of an STi with a stage 1 tune, or a relatively young flat 6 boxster S. Both of which are better cars for the money.

this. plenty of good chassis under 70k and even under 60k.
gt86 is probably the best chassis under 30k but ONLY when we consider new cars.

shut them up, what the fuck are they saying!

It is too large, heavy and costs too much.
You can get a Miat for 2/3 of the price and enjoy the same performance.
You can dump 20k in it and it still performs worse than the then equaly expensive Porsche 718.

Toyota should have build a shitbox MR-2 instead or cheap lightweight FR with a cheaper inline engine borrowed from a existing car.

If you can find a used and unmolested specimen (which is getting rare) and drop a LS into it you got a beast for less than $40k. Though $40k is getting into Corvette territory, You have to decide if the ~800lbs less weight is worth it.

I like the idea, but no sports car with 4 seats should be slower than an economy car with 4 seats like a 1.5T Civic when you bury the pedal.

How fucked is the weight distribution?

I'm getting a lot of use out of this pic today

It's almost the same if you move the battery to the back and use a carbon hood.

The FA20 is 377lbs an LS7 is around 430lbs. Even a pigfat iron block LQ is only about 100lbs more.

Isn´t the LS also much longer than the FA20 and requires a heavier gearbox?

Twingi goin hard

It's a physically smaller engine than the FA even though it's 3x the displacement lel. The T56 is lightish and bulletproof but I think some people use the stock tranny.

>It's a physically smaller engine than the FA
The FA is way shorter than the LS

About 10'' shorter. It only changes the car's weight balance by 1% though.

>10"
That is quite a lot...

The LS still sits lower so meh. The FA will stick out just as much with a turbo and intercooler so meh. At least you're not stuck at 200whp.

people look at this car the wrong way

it's part of a really tiny group of cars still in production that exist as a big middle finger to the ultimate cuckery of treating your daily driver as nothing more than a miserable, boring appliance that exists to deliver your labor to another location

>LS sits lower
Isn´t the center of gravity of the LS higher than the one of the FA?

>the brz is so shit that engine swaps might ruin the whole car
lel

I'd build a car with you.
