Those fuckers would outrun every hero in the cast. Though props where it's due, having a literal crocodile mawl and people around a payload would be fucking amazing and would make for a antiflank CQC hero the game needs. Would also be the most legit African hero in the game.

Long range shield + mobility meant she could act as a defense both for or against mobile factors of the game (such as a Tac Visor Soldier) in a way that a non-mobile shield can. It's a unique niche.

Made sense if you assumed she is intended to have strong chase ability + moderate burst damage so that she can punish low health enemies that are trying to run away.

Not really. It's a zoning tool more than anything. That's why it does so much damage too. The tell is so loud and obvious and the damage is so huge because that forces people to try and escape it, zoning the area the self-destruct is in. In that sense, it's much more similar to Dragonstrike or Molten Core, so it would be more accurate to say she has a Defense (I realize "Defense" and "DPS" aren't mutually exclusive, but yeah). Coupled with her boosters it let her make or break pushes by creating a zone and some time for her team to push into, whether it was with or without getting kills from the nuke itself.

All of these work together to make her a facilitator and helper in lots of smaller ways, essentially helping everyone do their job by being a denial-based tank (denial because she denies space/damage/escape etc.).

These always made a lot of sense to me and the way I play her, which is why I'm not a fan of her just being turned into fat Genji now.

There was in beta actually they used to be slower.
