That, coupled with an electronic throttle, makes hill starts a pain in the fucking ass. There's no pedal feel at all. Either you end up revving to the moon and launching the car, or you hit the sweet spot, then the assist shuts off all at once and the car stalls or bucks until you can smooth it out. FUCK.

I didn't want to buy new, but I run a courier business, and I needed something new with low miles. The last two cars I used for work had 350,000 and 275,000 when I got rid of them. The constant downtime for maintenance and repairs was killing me, so I had to bite the bullet and buy new. It's not all bad, but there's just so much useless shit in new cars, even the base models.

If the car detects you drifting out of your lane it'll vibrate the steering wheel or rumble the sub woofer on the co responding side to simulate rumble strips. Some cars will even nudge you back into your lane

I love to use as little effort as possible to use as much of the lane keep assist going. So I just barely touch right about when it might give me a warning. It’s a game I play for long distances on the highway.

You can't manage your brakes as well as a computer. Sorry if that upsets you but the sooner you get used to it the sooner you'll start feeling better, and since there will only be more and more things this is true of as time goes on it won't end well for you if you don't.

In its current implementation it is annoying no doubt. I rented a Caddy SUV that would beep frantically if I changed lanes without signaling. I expect once engineers better integrate it it will be great.
