Opinions on Dart?

The lease for my econobox is up and a local dealer has a 2015 Dart SXT Rallye (2.4l I-4, 6-spd manual) with approx 30k miles on it. I became quite bored with my impreza early into my lease and wanted to switch to buying a more fun daily driver with reasonable mpg.

They're offering $1k under kbb and carfax has 1 owner no reported accidents.

As for power it pushes 187hp approx 3100lbs. I'm content with it not being a wrx, lancer evo or type-r, that's not why i'm interested. Do you think it makes the cut for affordable fun and functionality? Are there any common issues to look out for? Typical review sources made the car come off as mediocre. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Get a kia rio thats brand new

Get a Focus SE manual instead

How the fuck do you pronounce "Rallye" anyway

I drove a rental Chrysler 200C, which rides on the same platform as the new Dart, it was decent. Nothing close to my Mercedes but it was decent handling in its own right.

Lol 187 Horse, 3100 pounds.

My fiances 3400 pound forester has 170 horse and barely gets out of its own way.

Its just a euro-faggy way to spell rally so "rally"

>4 speed auto

Like rally

It will be a good daily. But fun? I don't think so. The chassis was complete garbage. It was slower than the 90's neons. Dodge was so embarrassed they pulled the r/t badge off it last second. That's right. Dodge didn't want to tarnish the R/T trim by putting it on this car.

>awd drivetrain power loss

Thanks
Though I'm not sure why Dodge would want to invoke anything even remotely european

Dart is some fiat in yurop, problem is fiat makes shitty cars to begin with

Ex '14 GT Owner here, IMO the car was just "alright" mine was a manual as well and it was fun at times but at the end of the day it was slow and bloated and barely any fun to drive. The extra technology bits on the inside were nice, but you just can't polish a turd.

Traded mine on a Focus ST and never looked back.

...

I know it may seem like a good deal but Darts aren't good cars. Research it's reliability reputation and consumer satisfaction - it's really low.

I think you could do better user. Look around literally any car is better than this one. Just because it's newer doesn't mean it's going to be more reliable.

If you're looking for fun try the Civic, Accord Sport, Camry V6. I mean literally anything else.

Honestly either of these would be better.

How the fuck are we still putting 4 speeds in shit. My truck from the 60s has a four speed and you've gotta drive the bitch like you stole it between 1st and 2nd

These have a 9 speed auto

Its them spaghetti-niggers from Fiat running things now, that's why. The Dart/200C were some copy/pasted Fiat chassis they'd have in Europe for a while now

probably the best looking compacts you can get. love the taillights on this car.
as for performance they handle good just dont expect to be driving some new version of an srt4 neon.

I wish they made them RWD like the Darts from the 1970s. Dad had a Valiant (same car but Plymouth) and it was kino
