Recently got some interior upgrades for my Uber vehicle, found them to be well worth the money
- tint: got top of the line ceramic tint, highest level allowed on front side, 25% in back, paid to install, wouldn't try myself - dash cover: got one from Dash Designs, this sort of thing seems not so brand dependent, also install not really that important. If you put things on the dash it will move around, the options for sticking stuff on are shit because car plastic doesn't even let glue adhere well and it's so much surface area. Still makes me think about doing a total dash resurfacing with the polycarpet material - floor mats: having some kind of floormat is essential for driving a lot, carpet picks up lint and shit and is a bitch to always clean. The difference for trading up to custom fit is also big, worth it imo. I have weather tech digital fit, some like husky, I wouldn't settle for anything less than custom made to model with generous side lips if you are trading up.
R'ing advice from anyone who has bought car seat covers or dash cam/alarm systems, want both of those. Looking specifically for a seat cover in cloth that has good fit but is easily removable for washing, willing to pay premium for it.
Why do you need ugly ass weathertech rubber mats? Are you picking up your riders from mudding trails? Get wool floor mats, they give a nicer vibe to your interior.
Liam Diaz
I drive Uber. And yes people get in with enough skanky shit on their shoes that I want weather tech, not some fiber bullshit waiting to collect water and stink with mold. Besides I think the nicer molded mats have a sort of utilitarian aesthetic I find charming.
David Lee
That looks retarded
Wyatt Martinez
top tier luxury cars use woolen seats and carpets, pleb
Jeremiah Lewis
Top tier luxury cars are for faggots then
John Nelson
you are the one driving an uber full of skanks. Enjoy your shitty mats
Cooper Peterson
Wasn't me but the point is with rubberized edge to edge floor mats they won't be dirty.
Top tier luxury is for richfags who get dropped off in covered parking areas and don't give a fuck. It's peak conspicuous consumption.
Matthew Reed
>tfw Weathertech doesnt produce for your truck
I'd kill for a set of those
Christian Evans
Do you wear your shoes in your home?
Thomas Sullivan
Yes I do, I even wear them in bed because it's comfy. I don't know in which 3rd world shithole you live, but here in rural Alabama, roads are so clean shoes never get dirty.
Michael Myers
Rubber mats on a vehicle that isn't an off-roader or a Truck used on construction sites is retarded
Michael Bell
Not retarded for an Uber diver, we've been over it.
Also bump for anyone know about good cloth seat covers or dash cam / alarm systems?
Adam Cruz
americans actually sleep with their shoes on
Jeremiah Mitchell
Fellow Uber driver here
I dont really see you finding a "Good" quality seat cover. They are made for young ricers and people who cant keep their cars clean to begin with. They scream "CHEAP" when someone gets in your car. You're better off saving the money for re-upholstering later or just snagging better looking seats out of a junkyard car.
I've got Weathertech mats, and they were definitely worth the investment. I havent gotten a trunk liner yet, but would like to have one.
Ive also got Tint on my rear glass only, and cops never say anything to me.
My vehicle has its factory alarm, so no worries there for me, but i have got a small dash cam for viewing the road ahead of me, should anything happen. My advice there would be to spend the money on a quality camera like a Go-Pro, or just buy a pair of really cheap ones off of Amazon so you can have one recording the interior and roadway. That way you can play around with them and learn what you like and dislike, find better mounting points, and see if the cheap ones offer enough capacity, video quality, and easy interface.
Have you considered Rain-guards for your windows? My wife got me a set of Genuine Mazda rain guards that ive been waiting for warmer weather to put on.

i live in Seattle, the land of rain and mud 9 months out of the year. i have to walk through a gravel driveway covered in leaves and forest debris to get to my car, drive through dirty wet roads and park in a dirty gravel alleyway next to my office; my old car had beige carpeted mats that would need to be pressure washed and scrubbed once a month to keep them from turning black.
my current car has a winter driving package from the factory and it has made a world of difference. a full set of rubber floor mats, a rubber trunk liner and a set of mud flaps to keep the road spray to the minimum. best $400 the previous owner ever spent.

>what is snow >what is rain >what is gravel >what are kids Its just so much tougher, it doesn't absorb stuff, and it keeps the carpet dry beneath it, extending its life. Proper mats are good for any vehicle, not just MUH FUGGIN MUD TRUCK YEEHAW AH DO CONSTRUCTION IN DA FIELD.

I'm not OP.

Zachary Russell
what luxury car besides the Toyota Century meme still uses wool anything?
Aaron Bennett
I live in Finland, weather is pretty shit here too for around half the year, but I still got these and have got some great comments about them when driving people around.
They dirty easily but clean easily as well, a damp cloth has so far taken off everything since there have been no drink spills.
I also got small plastic cups that fit the hand bar holes exactly in the doors for easy storage.
Hudson Morgan
Oh god someone brought that same shit into the dealership i work at, it’s fucking awful
Austin Reyes
The lower carpeting and the floormats in the Maybach are also wool
James Diaz
>it keeps the carpet dry beneath it, extending its life Easier to clean I agree, but carpeted floor mats are actually rubber from underneath, and they cover the same area a rubber mat covers, So how exactly do they protect the carpet more?
Kayden Sullivan
>doesn't even fully cover the dead pedal maxpider a best
Michael Diaz
get some rear seat covers and kick guards for the front seat backs as well. outfit the car completely with dash cam and passenger cam, audio feed included
Juan Gray
What is a kick guard? Am interested. Also just ordered a full suite of floor shit for my Hyundai, all weather tech. Floor mats, cargo liner, rain guards. Then got a dash cover and some blind spot mirrors, interested to see how they work.
As for the dash cam and seat covers, do you have brand recs? It's why I made the thread
Jason Lee
They're not super common here due to the winters we have, and most of the ones I've cleaned have just been pure "carpet". If the bottom is rubber then its fine ofcourse
Noah Barnes
Lighting is really nice. Lookup courtesy lights, dim lighting for handles and dim light for footwells. And if you go any other colour than white you should put your shitbox in the nearest junkyard
Alexander Reed

Noah Cruz
Dodge caravan? Its honestly fucking disgusting.
Kayden Adams
holy shit, nigger, what are you doing?
Kevin Cox
>replace shit old rubber mats with new ones >new ones have these spikes on the bottom for grip >they dont grip at all, keep sliding up and getting caught on my clutch pedal >also keeps pulling my fucking carpet to pieces how the FUCK do i get these things to stay still?
William Reyes
Try putting strips of the rough-side of velcro on the bottom of the mat
but doesnt velcro only work if the loose fibres are loops? plus if those sharp thumbtack like things on the bottom of the mat wont grip idk about velcro
Elijah Long
anyone know where i can get a huge range of RHD dash matts?
i want one for my 88 mr2.
Jason Gutierrez
This is actually probably a great way to grow succulents. Lots of light and high heat.
Zachary Thompson
i have the aries custom floor mats in my mazdaspeed 3, shit's useful in florida where it's rainy and muddy 75% of the year
also just installed a shitpost-enabled ching chong head unit today
Parker Thomas
What unit, how much? I'm looking to rip out everything I have now
Levi James
google "kick guard car seat"
every uber ive been in, the backs of the front seats are filthy and scratched to hell bc of people crossing their legs, resting their feet, not being careful when getting in and out of vehicle, etc. Basically, my recommendation is to protect your cars entire interior. Make sure every single surface that your passengers come in contact with is covered with something that can be easily removed, cleaned and replaced.
BTW, i dont think that regular all weather floormats are enough, you need smth that is high walled like Weathertech floor liners
idk about brands, weathertech?? idk any others
Kayden Hernandez
Not using OEM mats. I have OEM rubber mats for winter in front and back and it has rubber mat to protect the propshaft tunnel which ordinary rubbermats wont protect. And for summer I have very thick executive OEM mats.
Adam Clark
It works best with that, yeah - but it can provide enough "traction" on a car carpet
Its cheap and worth a try
Landon Thompson
Yeah, weather tech are in the way. Also got these kick guards
Idea is I could take off the drivers seat and right hand rear seat once a week for washing easily. Don't mind the utilitarian look, appreciate the toughest factor. I just don't know about the brand, there are a few comparables out there.
Robert Davis
Weather tech protect the ridge.
That's more what I'm worried about is traction. But then again I think most of that comes from design being so well fit and edge to edge.
Xavier White
It's a custom fit one from aliexpress they have a ton of them for different cars easy as hell to install since it comes with a harness that's already wired for your car and a canbus decoder so the steering wheel buttons and other screen still works
