To me the Ducati 999 had a beautiful cleaned up, almost futuristic look.
its a lot less powerfull and a fuckton less torquey. It is significantly slower and lacks the ability to just pop the front wheel over obstacles with just throttle like a drz

The GSX-S1000F has looks going for it as well IMO (though the Z1000SX is cooler), and I don't think shitty throttle response was an issue on the older GSX-S models -- at least I haven't heard anything about it. Should be fixable with an ECU flash, no big deal. The MT-09 had the same issue, it was fixed within months.
