You can always attempt (and frequently succeed) in exploding or wrecking stations you're sent to, but cultists maybe probably sort-of don't attempt to summon everywhere they go. Due to the whole "reality isn't fuckered yet" bit. There's something special about Furry Lyncher 74 or whatever the station's called that day.

The clock stun is much more obvious to people who see you dragging Faget McGrey to the convert rune, and you can't write runes or lift false walls while the damn stun is active. So you need to prepare the rune beforehand. This results in the cult being exposed MUCH FASTER.

Additionally, clock's been gutted on TG compared to its original implementation. Compare tgstation13.org/wiki/Clockwork_Cult to wiki.yogstation.net/wiki/Clockwork_Cult -- Some of the notable removals are soul vessels (clock soulstones), cogscarabs, and the entire Revenant tier of scripture. But even after this removal, I still suspect that clock cult is more complicated than blood cult, which is by far the most complicated game mode on Veeky Forums, which means that clock is hard for newbies (which you'll be converting a lot of invariably).

And on that soul vessel bit. Those being removed means that there's no way to sidestep the shitty converting or put the dead to use.

Ah right, one other thing about the blood vs clock stuns: Blood cult uses the talismans as you are presumably familiar with. You can stun someone at a moment's notice if you have a stunner on-hand, and you can restun people if the duration is running low. Clock cult uses the clock tome itself: You spend 6ish seconds chanting off-screen, then smack your target with the tome to stun and mute them for 12-20 seconds or something. So you can neither stun at a moment's notice, nor refresh the stun if you need more time. So again, much easier for clock to get exposed early than blood. And while you CAN strip things (like a headset) from someone you stunned as a clock cultist, you might not be able to cuff them properly.
