I must be the only person who kind of likes IVs. I've gotten pretty lucky with mine, but the bad ones are mostly still useable, too. I like a little surprise.

I just started Awakening and it's my first FE not counting Heroes.

Why is Frederick so stupidly strong compared to others? At the same level his stats are like twice higher than everyone else including Avatar and Chrom and he kills everyone he faces regardless of weapon advantage/disadvantage.

Also I have these available from spotpass. Every weapon looks stupidly OP for the beginning of the game, what the fuck? I can also summon some heroes and recruit them and those also look pretty strong, but at least I can't beat them yet.

As for spotpass bonuses and shit - online bonuses for singleplayer in games in general are pretty overpowered.

Read up first, really. On Fred, he's a pre-promote, so that's natural. Don't use him at the start, so that he won't get all exp your other units need.
