Slight chance I fixed it by changing renderer to Dx9 Enhanced instead of normal, and, in my superstition, disabling adaptive V-sync in my control panel..

probably because stcop isnt compatible with 1.5
you can use the "adaptor" and then edit defines.ltx so you can actually use scopes with your weapons.

I've found any form of v-sync to be incredibly unstable on STALKER games. I just limit FPS through MSI Afterburner instead.

It works, seems V-sync might have been the problem. I just always use adaptive as a type of frame-limiter.

I've just sped-run CoC 1.5 in Story Mode with a modified actor.ltx script to increase sprinting and jumping speed along with g-god and unlimitedammo enabled. Took me about 4 hours.

Does psydamage work differently in SoC compared to CS/CoP?
On the latter it just reduces your HP, but I remember dying on SoC with having full HP while being on a critical psy zone.

I'd say Red Forest and Army Warehouses were usually messiest. Most of the other SoC/CS maps weren't too bad most of the time though the Rostok did have around 50 or so dutiers in their base a few times, might want to have psi-storms and emissions killing or turning npcs to zombies to help clear the areas some. I'm thinking its mostly because I had started in Jupiter and spent so much time only on that map that it got so populated, I'd guess that starting in the lower parts of the zone will leave the CoP areas fairly barren outside of zombies and monolith even with 1.5x spawns.
