Seat Ibiza SE Technology 2018 1.0

They have better models but I didn't want to fork out just for more speed

Pathetic engine. Sorry.

Gay

>1.0
Mate that engine's only suitable for the Up/Citigo/Mii, anything heavier than those will be dangerously slow

Well I have a young son, it's not like I'm racing around everywhere. Good fuel economy and looks good inside, first new car I've had anyway so I'm excited

Fuel economy is only good on paper. You'll have to pretty much floor the damn thing anytime you want to get up to any sort of speed, which absolutely kills economy.
Even something like a 1.4 would've been a drastic improvement and would probably get better fuel economy in the real world because it wouldn't have to work as hard.

Well most of my driving is done around town and I rarely go above 70mph on motorways so I don't think it will be an issue

Also I have a 1.0 at the minute and that is fine for my purposes but just old and crap

>Well I have a young son, it's not like I'm racing around everywhere.
Good luck. Things like merging or lane crossing in powerless shitbox is highly unsafe.
If it's tsi 95/115hp then you're okay. If it's mpi with 65hp/95Nm - may god have mercy over your son.

Congratulations, you purchased not even one half of what my 15 year old civic is capable of for probably a lot more money.

TSI 1.0 or NA 1.0?
i've got a 75PS version in my Mii, and with that car fully loaded it's still lighter than an ibiza, but it struggles, you that car is only good for the TSI versions

It's 75 but yeah, reviews I read said 95 is better engine for speed but for extra $40 a month did not think it was worth it for me.

I actually have a 2001 civic at the moment and the power is at least the same

Not sure t b h, I think mpi? I'm a pleb when it comes to engines

>I actually have a 2001 civic at the moment and the power is at least the same
It's also probably a lot lighter. This thing will struggle to get moving.

the TSI isn't much faster, but it's much quicker, as it almost doubles the torque, which makes over taking and getting up to speed quicker, as well as making it easier to go up hills, and it gives the peak torque down to 1000rpm instead of 3000rpm of the NA version, which is better the setting off.

not saying that the 75PS NA version is bad it's just that engine shouldn't have been put in anything else besides the mii/citigo/up, as it's not torquey enough for the added weight of a supermini.

I'm considering to buy a new Ibiza with 1.5L TSI (150 hp).

Will I regret it? First time I buy a car, but need to for family reasons (so far I've only been owning motorbikes).

>extra $40 a month did not think it was worth it for me.

Are you a jew or a Cambodian so that 40$ matter so much?

Rule of gold: Never buy your first car new. You will inevitably scratch it and hit things with it. Buy a crap car, learn to drive in it, then go for something better or a new car.
But as your first car, never buy new.

Besides, the 150 bhp is comically fast in an Ibiza, not suited for a beginer.

>Besides, the 150 bhp is comically fast in an Ibiza, not suited for a beginer.
If he's used to bikes, anything below a 911 or similar will feel slow.

Yea but now he isn't alone, he's gonna carry around his woman and his kid. I know a lot of people that turned into real scaredy pants when they became fathers and had to haul the children around.
With a car you are no longer responsible solely for your life, you got other people to worry about too.

>75hp
>95Nm
>1100kg
>3 cylinders

You fucked up. Just return it to the store if you still have a receipt.

>dangerously slow

It's a TSI you dimwit. Same power as an NA 1.6

See He got the 75hp NA version.

>he got the MPI not the TSI

You fucked up. The only reason to buy VAG is for their cutting edge tiny turbopetrols, yet you bought 2000s tech.

Sorry, just noticed. Fucking hell what a moron

That's kinda my problem, I feel like am idiot getting a car with less hp than my old bike which had 140.
But, yeah, should probably be reasonable and get something used. Just rather not have anything too old.

Fuck all of you, I'm still looking forward to it, I don't need to be speeding and the increase in fuel efficiency wasn't worth the extra price

>speeding

You're going to be crawling to the speed limit creating a hazardous situation for yourself and your passengers as you piss off literally everyone behind you forever causing them to drive erratically to get the fuck ahead of you.

>VAG trash

Could've got a mid spec Mazda 2 or Suzuki Swift with better performance, handling and reliability for the same money. Or seeing how money conscious you are, a Kia Rio with a 7 year warranty. Seems like you just want to badgewhore that trendy Seat badge.

>Rate my car, guise
*gets honest rate*
>Fuck you
Are you retarded, or are you just pretending?

Hey, you wanted opinions.

Or did you just come here to get some validation of your purchase?

Well fuck you too.
Enjoy getting t-boned when you won't be able to escape from intersection in time. Or getting rear ended clocking 60kmh when your merging lane ends.

Don't be a girly man and buy an older generation Ibiza or even Leon (if you can stomach the interior design) and get the 1.9 TDI engine if you want fuel economy and reliability.

If you will be driving around town most of the time, then get the 1.4 TSI 122 bhp engine. If not, the 1.9 TDI or 1.6 TDI 105 bhp engine is good enough. 2.0 TDI if you want to go fast, but the fuel economy is not that great.

>1.0
>i have a young son
i hope you die in a car crash while trying to merge in your gutless shitbox.

Yeah I'm used to that power driving a 1.0 civic and I've never had any issues

Opinions acknowledged and discarded.

For an extra $2000 or more it wouldn't be worth it for me for the increase in acceleration. I drive a 75bhp 2001 Honda Civic at the minute and I never have any trouble driving because it's a manual and I know how to drive

*never have trouble pulling out

2001 civic had a 1.7 and actually made over a hundred horsepower.

Unless if there's some weird Euro variant that got completely robbed of a usable engine that I'm not aware of.

Nothing inherently wrong with low powered cars. A Twingo has 60hp and that does fine, for instance.
Why? Because it weighs less than 900kg. The lightest brand new Ibiza weighs over 200kg more.

>Well I have a young son, it's not like I'm racing around everywhere.
Oh LOL
>be me
>6 month old son
>95hp/970kg pocket rocket
>he cries on every stoplight
>revving and accelerating - he calms down
>has doctor appointment in different city that's 180km away (long story short - he had a surgery there and they're best specialists)
>it's either going left lane 160kmh or stopping at filthy petrol station for feeding and changing diapers.
I made like extra 5000km since the little guy was born. And most of this FAST.

I drive a 95 hp car and it feels inadequate at times, weighing the same as the ibisa while having 50% more torque.
Stop being a fucking poorfag.

I drive an 174 bhp Touareg R5. Car/Tractor is slow af, but at least it makes u feel like a king. More like Henry VIII, but still.
Once drove the 313 bhp 5.0 V10 TDI monster, wish I could afford to maintain one of those brutes

Just looked it up and my civic is 1150kg, seat is slightly less

Well I've ordered the 75bhp so fuck it, but desu I have more important things to spend money on

I used to go on drives to get him to sleep but it cost me a fortune in petrol. He's 18 months now and usually sleeps pretty well
