An obvious stop too is Niagara Falls on your way to NYC
What to see on a US roadtrip in East-Mid US? taking in all suggestions!
thanks, good tips
I'd spend most of the time in Wisconsin, the UP and the Carolinas and Tennesee. Great Lakes and Midwest cities are shit but the countryside can be really nice.
Nashville might be a good stop between Dallas and Chicago
skip dallas. there is nothing here.
thanks
not sure we will go to dallas, but anywhere somewhere in the Texas. Friend wants to see the death row prison in Texas
its just a prison. nothing special. If you insist on coming to texas go to palo duro or go down to houston and see the last WW1 battleship in the world or the Lexington in Corpus Christi.
Can't go wrong in Texas- if you go to Dallas, definitely visit Ft. Worth instead and check out the Stockyards/historic district. Texas Motor Speedway if you are a car enthusiast, Cowboys Stadium if sports are your thing. Dallas has a lot of good restaurants, but aside from the Kennedy museum and some music venues, there's not as much to do as in Ft. Worth.
Palo Duro Canyon is pretty awesome as a scenic drive, if you wanna go far west, check out the Ft. Davis area and Big Bend Country.
Keep an eye on the Kennedy space center rocket launch schedule around your arrival date, go to playa Linda beach to watch it (or just go anyway because it has a chill nude beach)
Like user said, you've picked the biggest shithole city's possible.
If your goal is to get carjacked, you did a great job planning.
