Yes, if only because it's paid off and it's 100% mine. The paint and the bodywork may be a little fucked, and some people may not like the brand, but im driving it until it dies for good.

its from my mom so yes but i would never post it on Veeky Forums.

>’17 Corolla
It’s a Corolla, is a cheap car that’s good. Pride isn’t the word, but knowing your car will start every day for the next 20 years is a comfy feel

>’80 280ZX
It’s a long term project and the engine is apart right now. It’s in decent shape for its age, and it’s exciting to know that prices on Datsun Z’s are now on the upswing

Is it a tarbo?

Yeah, because keeping an Italian shitbox running for 3 years without issue is an achievement.

Veeky Forums hates all the things

Yes. It's a bit unreliable and not the top spec engine of that model, but compared to my previous shitboxes and 95% of cars I see on the road it's pretty much a supercar.

Maybe the reason you get hate is because you are tripfags
It's completely warranted though

>20 years
Damn what battery you got

I luv my zl1. I even loved my old crappy civics.

100% this

Veeky Forums hates literally anything. Every time I post my car it’s a couple compliments followed by a plethora of assblasted autistic mouthbreathers.

Yeah. It’s a bmw over 100k miles, doesn’t need anything other than oil and brake pads. It’s fun to drive, interior is perfect, exhaust note is amazing. I think that’s sufficient to feel proud.

not in any way shape or form. i was cucked into a lease and stupid and let it happen. im saddled with debt and want my lgt back

was proud of it for a while but after using it as a daily driver for almost 2 years now, my sheer irritation with regards to maintenance has eroded my initial pride and joy of ownership. there's always something else that breaks after i fix something that i thought was the end of it. the total amount of time that's it's been fun to drive isn't balanced well against the total amount of time where it's been a chore to drive because something's fucked or rattling or knocking or squeaking.

honestly it's an absolute shitbox

I'm all of those too, plus I have a kid, and I love my car

>Are you proud of your vehicle?
Initially, when parents just bought it, was very proud. After year of owning - not so much anymore. It's still better car than some people drive, but I just got bored. Maybe because it lacks power or some shit. I want something else to try out. Just to think - only 1 year, even brand new car owners keep their vehicles for longer, and I already want another one. Even though I'm just student. Can't even identify the problem why I want to change. Anyone had similar problem? Any advice? Is it normal wanting to try something else so often?
>pic related my shitbox

Attached: 20170502_190740.jpg (2656x1494, 2.14M)

Yes, despite it being in 2 accidents while parked and a hit and run by a piece of shit illegal immigrant.
Going to drive it til it dies, I'm on top of the maintenance and still runs like the day I bought it, currently at 80k miles.

Attached: DSC_0004.jpg (3840x2160, 2.55M)

I don't know what you're talking about. That's my favorite model Lexus. Would have been better if that ugly blue shit Chevy wasn't in the way though.

>Can't even identify the problem why I want to change. Anyone had similar problem? Any advice? Is it normal wanting to try something else so often?

I know exactly how you feel. There's always something in the back of my mind that I am not completely in love with my car and there's a desire to get something else. The annoying thing is always that I'm not sure what else I really want and then when I get that thing, I'm still not sure if I would be completely content with it so it's just like eh, I guess I will keep this car for a bit longer.

I'm thinking about ending over to some car supermarket where they have a bunch of different used cars and test driving a bunch of different things.

>The annoying thing is always that I'm not sure what else I really want
Holy shit. So much this. I want something else - but I don't really know what I want.
>when I get that thing, I'm still not sure if I would be completely content with it so it's just like eh, I guess I will keep this car for a bit longer.
This too. Relatable as fuck.
>I'm thinking about ending over to some car supermarket where they have a bunch of different used cars and test driving a bunch of different things.
I wish shit like that existed. I feel too scared about buying different car, what if its worse than my current or previous vehicle? What if it will have WORSE reliability? What if engines blows up on 2nd day of purchase?

I've looked up different cars on internet - MX5, 323F, 626, MX3, Eclipse 2G, Colt, Celica, Prelude, Civic, Accord, bunch of Nissans of my budget, Corolla, etc. I can't decide which one I want. Things I do preffer - something rare, old-ish (90's era), reliable, pretty quick and is related with my childhood memories of FnF, NFS or any other pop culture things of that time period. I have REALLY weird feelings and thoughts and sometimes I doubt I need anything else besides my current shitbox.

I can identify the problem:
You drive a VW Golf.
The solution is to not drive a VW Golf.

Why so harsh? Golf in Europe is like Civic in US. But I got bored of it (no idea why, as mentioned before, maybe lack of power). Now working part-time job to get some money, so I can buy something else ASAP. But as written here: no idea what to buy next. Not to mention - everyday they get older and older, even now, finding one of these listed in great condition is a trouble.

I was in a similar situation, my first car was an Opel vector, nothing wrong with it and with all the amenities too, it just didn't give me any vehicle related emotions. My current car is a 30 year old seven series(also my favorite car in the world) , it has way more issues than the Opel, but every time I drive it or even just look at it, be it from the outside or the inside, it makes me happy.
I think if you get a car that is more to you than just an appliance, you won't tire of it so quickly.
And a VW Golf is unfortunately "appliances : the car"

*vectra

Yup, 2008 hatchback Impreza. I really love it and always wanted one... don’t really care what others think of it.

>Opel Vectra
Fuck, I was close to getting it as my dad told me its a reliable comfy German car that is cheap to fix.
>30 y.o. 7 series BMW
Oh shit, jealous of you. My dream luxury sedan is E38, but I think I'm too young for it yet, want something more sporty, quick, versatile. Heck, I wouldn't even able to drive it, considering how much it consumes fuel, not to mention other stuff that needs exceptional attention, time and cash.
>And a VW Golf is unfortunately "appliances : the car"
Might be, but at that time (and even now) I can't think of better daily commuter that is both "fun", cheap, and (not entirely) reliable. But, unfortunately, its nothing special. If I analise Golf as a car for young person - it matches all the boxes, BUT, it lacks something. And I can't spot that "something". It's cool and all, but it doesnt have that something unusual, that others have.

same :)

>Are you proud of your vehicle?

I don't think just by simply having/buying something really allows you to be "proud" the same way if you fixed up a car

I got it relatively cheaply and well maintained, and bought it despite the "italian cars are bad" memes. It hasn't had any major issues for 8 years and it's really pretty to look at despite the design being from 2004. I love it, it's very fun to drive for a practical car and will DD it about 5 more years and then change for another Alfa or Mazda probably

Bizarrely yes. It's a well rounded comfortable, efficient, inexpensive, roomy, reliable car that was purchased at $5,000 below MSRP and carries a 100,000 mile warranty.

I also have hydrolocked E39 wagon that I need to replace the engine on, a 1990 Camaro RS, and a S420 that I'm going lift and mod with my sister.

>She's gay
Most "gay" women say that until they get fucked right. Either that or your dad molested her so much when she was a kid that she hates heterosexuality now

Yes, because it’s faster than most cars on the road, and it’s something I own and maintain. It’s unique, but still subtle. It’s fully-loaded and actually quite nice inside.

The squeaks and rattles and constant shifting are getting a bit trying on longer drives though. Seriously considering getting a more reliable, soulless autobarge just for the rough roads and shit that I have to deal with. High strung, short-geared cars are fun for aggressive driving but man do they suck for 3+ hour highway journeys.

Often true, ex and current GF used to be "bi" my but I don't think some user on Veeky Forums has any capacity to fuck a lesbian straight.

what makes you think that? because I live in California?

What made you choose the sedan over the hatchback? I've wanted to ask you this for a long time.

Seconding this, as I’d also like to know. Manual or auto?

Not really proud of it, just enjoy it, Veeky Forums hates it cause "Crowd Killer"

It doesn't matter how fast or which mods it has. Most important thing is to love it no matter what. And that is well kept Celica.

Why the hell would I be proud of it? I didn't make it. I love it but it's not a source of personal pride. That's what accomplishments and actions are for.

RIP

Not a fan of these but I can tell you take really good care of it

I think picking a good quality car and being very good to it is something to be proud of

Love it

Attached: 20170930_145509.jpg (1247x935, 325K)

I'm very proud of my car. I've had the car for just over a year now and has served me very well. First borrowed the car back in December 2016 to drive while my car then was out of comission, though it never made it back to the p.o. It went from borrowed, to bought, to gifted as my parents paid for the car as a graduation gift. 2000 GTP Coupe with only 77k on the clock isn't too bad for something to run around in. Drove to North Carolina and back no problem. Think I put 1,000 miles just that week alone. It's got 92k on it now, needs a couple small mechanical things and it'll be right as rain. Once I get my coilovers and wheels I'll start putting it in some shoes here and there. Pic not mine but similar.

Could not be happier

Attached: 20170904_162424 (2).jpg (3000x2250, 2.6M)

Still love my TT. it needs some cosmetic exterior work and to fix a little body ding, but the interior is basically factory and for a 13 year old car all the typical Audi over-engineered bits still work. If I manage to come back from my Vegas trip next month with any money left over I'll get the exterior fixed up.

beautiful car user, even if it isnt a gt4

I own a 1999 Honda HRV I bought off an old lady. She was Youngstown just throw it away to the wreckers, I gave her $100 for it. Replaced the radiator and it’s been looking after my even since. Love her like nothing else, and despite her being rough, old and a lil rusty she’s my girl.

I look at vehicles as tools

Dailys are the scum of the earth that deserve the punishment i throw at them

Projects are projects, i do as i please with them. Have an old fairlady that gets treated better than most but that doesnt mean i don't absolutely rag on it when i drive.

You're a tool.

I like shitty 90s Japanese hatches and coupes. I get a lot of shit for them, especially from co-workers who drive trucks and only buy "REAL DEAL AMERICAN STEEL".

But almost all the maintenance on both the cars was done by me, they both run great at over 20 years old, and both are paid in full for a combined cost below that of a new car so I'm pretty proud.

What the fuck's wrong with you, you're probably a nigger or a mudslime I bet
