Relaxing is one word; boring is another. But yeah, the genocide run gets pretty heavy at times. The two exclusive bosses are still a blast, though.

Vanilla has the benefit of being hard to fuck up. I've seen some brands of ice cream really fuck over their chocolate. Usually the biggest problem is texture (ie: too gritty), sometimes its too bittersweet. Strawberry has similar issues of quality.
Plus you can toss jam or stuff on top of vanilla for instant [flavor] ice cream without having to stock up on a billion different pints.

That being said I love chocolate ice cream. Still got a pint of "chocolate therapy" in the freezer.
