Cold air intake, higher flow headers/exhaust, oil catch can, front sway bar, better tires, better sparking wires and coil pack, upgraded clutch, pcv valve, tune. More than that and you'll be messing with motor internals. Itll get pricy, especially when you blow a head gasket or your ringlands fail. If your aiming for 450+ hp I'd invest in some good pistons, cam, turbo and put in a front mounted intercooler.

Equal length headers so it doesn't sound like shit is the only mandatory mod.

The DOHC engines were unaffected. It was SOHC 2.5 liter non-turbo engines that suffered from premature gasket failure.

You are too, the 95-99 DOHC NA EJ25Ds you're thinking of are affected, but so are the 00-04 SOHC NA EJ251s.
Also wrong. All NA EJ25s 95-04 are affected, regardless of how many cams they have.
