New thread so hopefully some more experienced folk will see

Pulled my CBR300R out today for the first time this year, had enough charge to turn on the lights and prime the fuel system but it wouldn't even try to start. Found a trickle charger which read the battery as charged, jumped off a (nonrunning) car battery and she died about 10 seconds after disconnecting. Turned off the battery read 11.5v and when trying to start it'd drop to like 7 or so. Running while hooked up to the car it sat at about 13v. Is my battery trashed or should I give it some more time to charge off a car?

I made it through the previous winter without a charger but I also rode more regularly. Lots of shit happened this winter so my bike got neglected.

Give it more time to charge off the car.

I let mine die completely on accident a couple weeks ago, and it recovered after sitting at idle for a few minutes hooked up to a charger

Typical honda regulator issue.

Just charge it for a bit

Should I buy this baiku?

No

calamari as fug m8, nice form though

What baiku should I buy instead? I like little sporty bikes and my beginner bike is getting lonely in the garage.

poo

>nothing good can be made in India
I prefer the plain "no" from the other Veeky Forumstist desu

Both are correct though.

The 310 is also a beginner bike...
What do you own now?

Decided to start working on fixing my bike. I was hoping to have the swingarm off today so it would be ready for engine removal next time I work on it, but it needs a huge allen key to remove the pivot bolt so it will have to wait a few more days.

Attached: swingarm still on.jpg (2688x1512, 1.24M)

A

Literally the worst bike in it's class. Why would you subject yourself to a 300cc single?
Save your ass bones and buy a
Ninja 300/400 or the one on stilts
R3

If you insist on a single why not a 390 Duke?

Attached: R3 offroad.jpg (1024x683, 104K)

You want to get an over priced beginner bike when you already have a beginner bike?

But seriously, most reviews I've seen just feel 'meh' about it.
If it's naked you're looking for, you'll probably be better off with the MT03 or 390 deuce.
As for sport bikes, the Ninja 400 seems to be getting good reviews.

Please ignore my retardation. Right now I have an old 99 Ninja 250. I meant beginner bike by it was the bike I began on. I don't want that much more out of what it riding than what I'm already getting. My longest regular trip is just over an hour or so, and I'm not much of a speeder.

>worst in class
Its not a Suzuki

Penises aren't allowed on blue boards, user.

>Tfw no AMORE ITALIANO.

Quick guys, I have $50,000 to blow on my first bike? What the fuck do I buy with $50k? A bike with 9999cdc?

I'm surprised too.

Attached: 1520709043881.jpg (640x480, 39K)

>shorts and flipflops
I hope you get degloved.

A really fast bike.

Attached: 1515892192008.png (815x800, 520K)

find 30k more and get an HP4

I didn't think it was that big of a deal but I can take my gloves off too if you want

have you looked at any bikes in the 500/650cc class? They'll have more power, still decent fuel economy, low weight, and probably similarly priced on the used market as that 310 is new.

I haven't really, the biggest I've looked at is 400. If I go to 500/650 I'm gonna buy a vstrom because it's the sexiest bike I've ever seen - don't' kink shame me please.

I use these on my Yamahog

Attached: 207EFAMY.jpg (500x239, 61K)

I have a set of those (different brand though) which are nice, but I only have up to 19mm and I need 24mm.

Look at a Vulcan S 650 Ptwin.

They rev for days, but have enough torque to play around in the city and the power band is linear and non threatening.

Ninja H2 Carbon

Holy shit. They should have included that in the tool bag.

Buy a nice car / truck and buy a $10k bike. Or if you already have a pickup, buy a $10k bike and a $10k dirtbike.

buy a bunch of Daytona's and crash them all to beat yammie's record

Have you tried the back part of a spark plug socket? it always worked for me.

Attached: 416v4m9xioL._SX355_.jpg (355x202, 16K)

If you are looking at the Strom you owe it to yourself to look at the Versys, it has the same engine as the Vulcan S that mentioned, and it competes directly with the Strom

But it wasn't raining today

Attached: sunny.jpg (1043x782, 429K)

oh its got the same autistic look as the vstrom too. Neat, pretty

brb going to try this

It only gets better.

Agreed

How about this as a first bike? 2007 $5k.

>inb4 ninja 250

Dont want a sport bike.

Attached: TRIUMPH t100.jpg (1280x810, 81K)

mine

Compare to the fz09 please? The i4 should totally make higher figures, right?

Motorcycles these days are all about HP to cost ratio, not HP to weight if the motorcycles are of the same class. Otherwise top speed to RPM limit is also a considerable factor as long as all of the bikes are 6 speed.

Quick Breakdown.
$12k bike of about 100 hp compared to 60HP or 80HP is about $120 per Horsepower compared to $160 or $200. Why pay more for absolute power?

Lol what the fuck, you're kidding right?

craigslist

Oh hey Tuono user! Working a day shift for a change?
Don't really have any trips planned for the main land until I go to the ridge, WA in July and probably Alaska in August.
Though if a chess event comes up I might come over and crash with my friend again.

Attached: 20180311_135052-1612x1209.jpg (1612x1209, 790K)

Plenty at the bike junkyard by work.

What's your chess rating

Not necessarily.

You could make a hundred horsepower twin or even a single, engine configuration doesn't dictate power.

Pretty bad. Around 1300 CFC.
Only started getting into it within the last couple of years. Though at the tournament in Langley I got a performance rating of 1850, but I got pretty lucky

Ur slow, eh?

Lol I just started playing for fun like last week, I'm rated at like 700 right now, but I'm still learning a lot

You are correct.

Attached: 834568345.jpg (1038x1050, 351K)

Nice z900
Now let's see the z900rs, shouldn't be a totally different number than a bike with the same engine, right?

Nice man. I think it's a really rewarding game which I've found helps improve my concentration, memory and visual thinking skills. Try and pirate a copy of chess master 10th edition if you can. The lessons are really solid!

The candidates tournament for the WC also just started yesterday, with some interesting games already.

Will look for it now, thx
Nice bike btw, mad jealous

Nah my shift just started unfortunately.
You should ride that new road that was completed a few months ago to some random village in the arctic. We paid like 200+ million for it, may as well use it, lol.
You still have my number right? Shoot me a text next time you come over here. Been wanting to do a trip over there sometime; maybe I'll do it this year.
