New thread so hopefully some more experienced folk will see
Pulled my CBR300R out today for the first time this year, had enough charge to turn on the lights and prime the fuel system but it wouldn't even try to start. Found a trickle charger which read the battery as charged, jumped off a (nonrunning) car battery and she died about 10 seconds after disconnecting. Turned off the battery read 11.5v and when trying to start it'd drop to like 7 or so. Running while hooked up to the car it sat at about 13v. Is my battery trashed or should I give it some more time to charge off a car?
I made it through the previous winter without a charger but I also rode more regularly. Lots of shit happened this winter so my bike got neglected.
What baiku should I buy instead? I like little sporty bikes and my beginner bike is getting lonely in the garage.

Both are correct though.

The 310 is also a beginner bike... What do you own now?

Decided to start working on fixing my bike. I was hoping to have the swingarm off today so it would be ready for engine removal next time I work on it, but it needs a huge allen key to remove the pivot bolt so it will have to wait a few more days.
Literally the worst bike in it's class. Why would you subject yourself to a 300cc single? Save your ass bones and buy a Ninja 300/400 or the one on stilts R3
You want to get an over priced beginner bike when you already have a beginner bike?
Thomas Mitchell
But seriously, most reviews I've seen just feel 'meh' about it. If it's naked you're looking for, you'll probably be better off with the MT03 or 390 deuce. As for sport bikes, the Ninja 400 seems to be getting good reviews.
Jose Taylor
Please ignore my retardation. Right now I have an old 99 Ninja 250. I meant beginner bike by it was the bike I began on. I don't want that much more out of what it riding than what I'm already getting. My longest regular trip is just over an hour or so, and I'm not much of a speeder.
I didn't think it was that big of a deal but I can take my gloves off too if you want
Ayden Ross
have you looked at any bikes in the 500/650cc class? They'll have more power, still decent fuel economy, low weight, and probably similarly priced on the used market as that 310 is new.
Austin Edwards
I haven't really, the biggest I've looked at is 400. If I go to 500/650 I'm gonna buy a vstrom because it's the sexiest bike I've ever seen - don't' kink shame me please.
If you are looking at the Strom you owe it to yourself to look at the Versys, it has the same engine as the Vulcan S that mentioned, and it competes directly with the Strom
user from last thread who dropped his bike on MSF skill eval. Please post more baikus to continue improving my mood. Or argue about triviality. You faggots have been fighting my depression the last few months.
Compare to the fz09 please? The i4 should totally make higher figures, right?

Motorcycles these days are all about HP to cost ratio, not HP to weight if the motorcycles are of the same class. Otherwise top speed to RPM limit is also a considerable factor as long as all of the bikes are 6 speed.
Quick Breakdown. $12k bike of about 100 hp compared to 60HP or 80HP is about $120 per Horsepower compared to $160 or $200. Why pay more for absolute power?
David Cook
Lol what the fuck, you're kidding right?
Jonathan Martinez
>$5k lol go for it if you want it

>amazing weather today >working a 12 hour shift JUST
Tell me where you can find a 5k 900cc and we'll talk.

Oh hey Tuono user! Working a day shift for a change? Don't really have any trips planned for the main land until I go to the ridge, WA in July and probably Alaska in August. Though if a chess event comes up I might come over and crash with my friend again.
You could make a hundred horsepower twin or even a single, engine configuration doesn't dictate power.
Jonathan Adams
Pretty bad. Around 1300 CFC. Only started getting into it within the last couple of years. Though at the tournament in Langley I got a performance rating of 1850, but I got pretty lucky
John Evans
Ur slow, eh?
Elijah Kelly
Lol I just started playing for fun like last week, I'm rated at like 700 right now, but I'm still learning a lot
Nice z900 Now let's see the z900rs, shouldn't be a totally different number than a bike with the same engine, right?
Connor Phillips
Nice man. I think it's a really rewarding game which I've found helps improve my concentration, memory and visual thinking skills. Try and pirate a copy of chess master 10th edition if you can. The lessons are really solid!
The candidates tournament for the WC also just started yesterday, with some interesting games already.
Will look for it now, thx Nice bike btw, mad jealous
Dylan Sanders
Nah my shift just started unfortunately. You should ride that new road that was completed a few months ago to some random village in the arctic. We paid like 200+ million for it, may as well use it, lol. You still have my number right? Shoot me a text next time you come over here. Been wanting to do a trip over there sometime; maybe I'll do it this year.
