VR6 Mk4 is shit. Its not that much faster than 1.8T, but is much heavier and fuel thirsty. Avoid VR6 at all costs - fixing hell too.

Don't launch them from a dig, shift it like vin diesel , or make past 250hp at the crank and you should be good on reliability.
