tfw 2003 model and 136k clocked

dumb frogposter

>2006 Cobalt LT
>460,000 kms

Chances are those km's are done on long trips. 200 000km on a 1997 would be scarier

*Screams*

my golf 4 2001 has 253'000km on it

How is that even possible

Ameriburgers driving on highways for 12 hours a day

>365*3 = 1,095 days
>876,000/1,095 = 800km per day
>800/24 = 33.3kmh every hour
>this car has done on average 33km every hour for the past 3 years

And people still call Japanese cars superior. Nothing surpasses American truck reliability and build quality.

Americans don't use km. You get a special star.

Attached: 1431214082957.png (600x600, 14K)

Toyota trucks are pretty bulletproof. You don't see them as often in America but the third world is littered with old Toyotas. I'm generally there is a big longevity difference between cars and trucks.

Kias make the same mileage here as taxis. Would you buy a Kia?

holy fuck

Attached: there will be blood.png (481x533, 274K)

Has to be a typo.

That's 811 km per day non stop for 3 years . What the fuck man?

piss poor value for money

That's clearly not an American ad you shithead

>2014 Honda Civic
>base model
>110,000 miles clocked in
>no mechanical issues ever
>only routine maintenance and tire changes
If you aren’t driving your cars, what are you even doing?
Also pls no bully I can’t afford anything better.

3.75 to 2.75 years
120,000 or so miles
32-46000 miles/year
So, a commute?

I bought a 2010 car with 38,000 miles in 2017. Unfortunately after buying the car a couple days later the A/C compressor went out and a couple weeks later it developed a rod knock.

I suspect the previous owner just let the car sit for years and didn't do any maintenance. So I've learned a lesson. If a car has low miles and is old, chances are the shit sat and is going to need a new engine from the sludge buildup for years.

>tfw 2008 model with 34k miles

scary

That's what I thought.
But the 2008 one could be worth 2k and it should be possible to haggle the faggle down to 2k. Only an idiot would pay the full 3k for that.
But then again I wouldn't buy a decade old taxi. Shit's FUCKING DISGUSTING.

this is actually ok
ran 90% highway/autobahn
regular oil change and you're fine
far worse, but could still last quite a while
>cabs are well serviced
downside: mainly city traffic

low miles are worth nothing

a car has to be in regular use, needs inspections, oil etc.
should have 10,000 miles or 15.000km per year.

>inb4 muhhh low mileage
have fun spending a lot of money for a chance to have a good car.
Get a beater and invest the rest compaired to a good modell in repairs. Will be the better car in he end.

Attached: #.jpg (1032x774, 170K)

2003 with 79,000 miles here.

>ran 90% highway/autobahn
How do you know this?
You do know that modern taxis usually have that elfenbein color only as wrap and are silver like this underneath most of the times, exactly like this one.

Also, it's just the 136hp diesel. This thing screams taxi and even if well maintained, a car often drives like a wet noodle after 500k km city.

>how do you know this
Taxis usually don't accumulate this many kilometers in such a short time.
This is an autobahn bitch.

>tfw it's practically impossible to find cars with over 1 million because there are literally thousands of absolute RETARDS who can't type-in numbers and type one digit too many.

This is so frustrating

>1996 car is 82k miles

Should I be worried ?

Was able to sieve through all those wrong numbers and actually found one with actually over 1 million.

The absolute faggot dealer thinks this is a feature though and sells this car for 10k.

OUCH

Pablo rolled that clock back pretty good

TFW 1999 model and 123k clocked

Bought the car from a dad's long time friend. And we don't have Mexicans here

unless it was a 4th car in the family or it sat in the barn for 15 years, you're delusional that mileage is original

He's lying, there just is no way to spend 11k on a mondeo in three years.

The engine was changed. Meh, it only cost 800 euros and it serves me well for one year. It's a good shitbox

>tfw 200000 on a '95
Meh, it still runs nicely after doing the timing chain.

must have been a driving instructor.

>He's lying
Well according to his ad he did a lot like steering column gearing, engine for 3.6k
suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=258037323

kinda sad actually. why the fuck would you pump so much money into a fucking Mondeo with 760k on it (back when he apparently pumped in all the money)

would buy
...for 1k

He probably added an extra 0 accidentally, even 5 year old taxis have normally done only half as much as that

such low mileages are pretty normal in europe dude
>people don't use their car to commute to work, or for example only in winter
>even if they use the car, commutes are shorter on average
>longer distance travel tends to be quicker and cheaper by train

My 2002 Honda Jazz(Fit) has 130k km (bout 80k miles) on it and people keep commenting on how much that is

I have 247,000 on a '90. Runs like a champ.

6 month old car...

Attached: Screenshot_20180312-231544.png (1080x1920, 912K)

My brother put 26000 miles on his camaro in the first 8 months. Miles, not kilometers.

Last car trip I went on we put 2 thousand miles on the car in 2 days

Fuck germans with their mobile.de. Theyre selling overpriced piece of junks. 10k euros for that merc. That would cost around 5k euros in baltic states here

>europe
>volvo
>diesel
Why are you even surprised? Europe + diesel = automatically work horse for huge mileage. While americans scream seeing anything over 200k kms, for eurofags its nothing. Euros get concerned when they reach 500k kms

>That would cost around 5k euros in baltic states here
because it would be stolen, lmao

>While americans scream seeing anything over 200k kms, for eurofags its nothing.

It's actually the other way around

holy mother of all fucking god

Attached: CYKA NO.jpg (352x388, 67K)

I hate the EPA for not letting us have these

Amerifags can't compete

Thats nothing a well taken care of ford truck will last that long if not longer.

bought a 2011 with 193,000 km on it. service records showed it was all highway km so its fine.

honestly its the low km, high age cars that you have to be worried about.

please post a ford truck that has gone 4.3 MILLION kilometers (2671896 miles).

not one of those is even close.

>1995 model
>249000 clocked
>hasn't broken down yet, only flat tires from shit maintenance and rough as fuck roads
Thanks, Integra. You're a hard fuckin' charger.

All highway, other than general wear parts it's probably a better buy than city driven cars the same age with 100k

>1986
>just under 200,000KM

tfw 1991 model and 98k miles clocked

Little old lady, 1993 Minivan and clocked 54K miles when I got it in 2016.

I've put it up to 84K miles

Has no part of your suspension gone bad at all?

Swedes surprisingly know their shit.

>1987
>(1)78k

It's almost a 5 year old car which is pretty old for a modern car. People buy and dump or lease and dump their cars so they can rack up the miles and not worry about maintenance or repairs.

tfw 1990 and 214k clocked

>1995 Ford Probe base model
>Mazda 2.0L 4-cyl factory sealed
>299K
>no CEL dummy light

Attached: 1305309033136.jpg (500x479, 70K)

>Also pls no bully I can't afford anything better
Lmao for $13-14k you could have the most badass car 2x over if you were willing to invest a little time in her

>car came factory with 5 digit odometer
>only 75k miles!
Does anyone actually fall for this?

>1997 Subaru Legacy Outback
>225k
>Got it for free

Still going strong!

I did

is that possible with a petrol Mercedes with at least 6 cylinders.

If the car is sufficiently clean and in good shape it's possible. Usual wear and tear items like the outboard driver seat bolster, ignition cylinder, and shifter are good indicators.

The first car I kept for any length of time was a 1993 Oldsmobile Ciera with 53k miles in 2011. Drove it 100k miles. A rusted out and clogged cooling system is what killed it. Engine and transmission were still great.

I work at a highway gas station in Aus and I have a truckie that comes through once every couple of weeks or so. Has a fuel card and still keeps the kilometres. 5 million kilometres on her. First time I servered him (at 3.8 iirc) I had to double take and ask if he gave me one too many digits

bought a 2009 civic with 88,000km on it. 23 months later, its at 145,000km. Canadas big, but i think i should cut back a little.

though sometimes high milage dont matter
