Biker was wrong for filtering like that but cager is also wrong because they should be looking in their mirrors before changine lane

This. Motorists think that signals are a 'WATCH OUT!' signal rather than a signal of intent.
Just because you put the signal on doesn't mean you're safe to go. You have to actually turn your fucking head.

when changing lanes, its this.

>decide you want to change lanes
>check mirrors
>put indicator on
>check blind spot
>check mirrors
>turn

people do this

>decide i want to change lanes
>check mirrors
>start to turn
>indicator on

indicators are just that, they INDICATE that I WANT TO GO THERE.

they're not called tellers.

Splitting lanes in traffic like that is stupid and reckless. That shit was going to happen at some point

It's only reckless because manchildren cannot bare to be patient and cannot follow this sequence It should be no issue to split because everyone's going fucking straight unless indicating safely, otherwise.
It's not the fault of the motorcyclist.

yeah he was asking for that filtering at that speed.

filtering is fine, you filter 5-10km/h faster than traffic, not 50km/h faster.

Still, what are you moving around for? You stay middle lane until you're coming up to your exit/turn, which is either on the left or right, and then you get into that lane early and predictably and safely.
Nine times out of ten, there's only boo boos because no one can do the speed limit and feels they must weave in and out of the fastest lane at any given moment.

And he was also going well past the relative speed of everyone else giving no time for a reasonable reaction.

Had be been going closer to what everyone else was doing, like maybe 10 under what he was at, he probably would have been fine. He's a retard for splitting lanes in traffic like that, there's not other way to say it

First of all, he was doing 40 mph, and yes that's still too fast for that traffic speed.

Secondly the car is also wrong in that situation.

Oh, sorry, man I didn't mean this literal video, I was speaking generally.
As soon as you go over the limit, yeah you're a jerkoff. If the speed limit is 40, you're going to be looking, judging, and reacting under the understanding that everyone is doing 40, not more.
Again, the most dangerous thing you can be on the road is unpredictable.

anyone who rides bikes and isn't a moron knows most drivers are fucking morons and do dumb shit at any time for no reason.

so, when you know this, you don't ride like OP did. therefore, OPvid is a fucking moron and he had that coming.

i thought those carpool lanes were unfilter-into-or-out-of-able? either way both are in the wrong

Hmm, nah.
>YOU SHOULD EXPECT EVERYONE TO BE RETARDED.; UR FAULT U DIDN"T
Doesn't fly. Follow the law. Do the thing.

I never cite for failure to yield (cutting people off) when the idiot was going too fast. Go an appropriate speed for the conditions, otherwise people don't expect you to be going that fast and it's difficult to gauge how much distance you'll cover before reaching them when they're making a land change. The driver probably looked and saw it was safe, but by the time they moved it was no longer safe and that happened quickly and unexpectedly because of how fast retard was going. This was not a failure to yield on the driver, it was speeding too fast for traffic conditions on the rider.

>Not expecting other people to be stupid

Guess what, that means you're stupid. You're among them if you don't realize how stupid they are. You gotta look out for yourself, don't expect others to do so.

Okay so why didn’t he stay in his lane?

>Still, what are you moving around for?
lol fuck off. the biker was in the wrong

>feels they must weave in and out of the fastest lane at any given moment.

I can tell by the accents and number of Asians that this happened in California. In that state, traffic is predictable and the left lanes are always moving the fastest. Even if another lane prevails momentarily, the left lane will be faster overall. There indeed is no reason to change lanes often. Californians were born in traffic, molded by it. Their patience in it is unprecedented, they understand they can't change it. Other states merely adopted the traffic and can't understand the language of traffic yet. However, with the number of Mexicans reaching driving age, California roads are changing. They're fucking dumb when it comes to driving. I can't fucking stand driving through Mexican areas, which is 90% of the fucking state now.

This case, yes, but 'expect others to be retarded' is not an excuse

No. If I'm doing everything correctly, I should be able to do it without a chorus of retards chiming in to tell me I'm retarded for doing it because I should have stayed home because others are retarded while absolving the retards

Fair point, however, now we run into the debate of which forms of vehicle are held to what standards. What we have now are pretty much rules for cars which are niggerrigged to apply to everyone else. Cars are big and boxy, have multiple blind spots, have the weight to do damage in an accident (With the added bonus of protecting the driver enough that he may flee the scene.) All good reasons for a car to stay put unless really needed; not sure that applies wholly to motorcyclists.

Everyone should be held to the same rules and standards, even pedestrians

Pedestrians and motor vehicles held to the same laws and standards? You're fucking retarded, dude.

Getting a dedicated signal and a dedicated crosswalk for pedestrians is retarded?

I'm not signaling while I'm walking around, dude. I'm not standing for two minutes at a red light. How would you even implement this, dipshit?

>'expect others to be retarded' is not an excuse

There's a reason he edited out the beginning of his video, it shows how retarded he was being. HE was being the retard and putting himself/others in danger, not someone making a normal lane change in seemingly normal conditions. That was a reasonable and predicable maneuver, his actions were not so.

Expect others to be retarded should be a motto for how you live your life. It'll keep you safe. Let's use this as an example, say you're a pedestrian and you have the right of way. Does that mean you should just hop off the crosswalk without making sure it's safe? If someone hits you and mangles you, they're wrong after all. Sure you're in the right, but you're fucking dead or seriously injured. Who got fucked there?

Don't feel so entitled, in any case, ever. Shut your ego off and just live, ego is one of the primary factors that contributes to stupidity. You've driven a car before, you realize it can't stop on a dime and has limited visibility. You know they may not see you, or they may be an asshole who hits you on purpose. Don't put yourself in the position to get fucked.

I honestly can’t recall seeing a pedestrian look behind them before crossing

>tfw a milf will never pray over you while you lay injured in a californian freeway

Attached: 28435253_429125070875673_4175722567023198208_n.jpg (1080x1080, 59K)

>:HE was being the retard and putting himself/others in danger
I'm saying, IN GENERAL, 'well ya should have known better than to have someone show basic human decadency' is not an excuse. I've been hit by a car walking. I've been hit by a car driving. Each time it was the driver's fault, each time I was told I was in the world for expecting the driving to do the right thing. (And I drive for a living before we start the 'cager' war)

>you realize it can't stop on a dime and has limited visibility
Once this becomes the actual reason accidents occur, yes, I'll be all for it. However, I cannot tell you how many times I've made direct eye contact with another motorists who should not be pulling out in front of me, and they do it anyway. It's not a matter of not being able to see, it's a matter of never feeling like they should look in the first place. It's not a matter of not being able to stop in time, it's a matter of not wanting to.
Talk about entitlement.

No it is the cars fault for crossing a double yellow line illegally. There is no legal situation where the car can cross the yellow lines

except to move for the emergency services or to avoid a crash

Of course but in the video there wasn't any emergency services or necessity to avoid any crash.

Turn your head 360° before crossing, notice every little nuance that's going on around you, because you're about to do something fucking dangerous if it's at a busy intersection. In fact, don't even fucking use a crosswalk, and this is coming from a cop. From what I've observed they're the most dangerous place to cross. You have those assholes who check for traffic, but don't bother checking for pedestrians before turning. Then those assholes that pull up to the second line of tbe crosswalk before making a right turn on red.

Safest way to do it (and still be legal at least in my state), pick a spot at least 100 feet away from the intersection and cross when there's enough room that cars don't have to brake to avoid you. Don't cross near the intersection because that's more dangerous than using the crosswalks, since people make those fast turns without fucking looking where they're turning. There are seriously people who don't look where they intend to turn before doing it, like they're just turning into an unknown abyss. People are seriously fucking stupid.

People put the center of their car in the crosswalk in Tucson all the fucking time. The town has been labeled as one of the most bike and walk friendly cities in the country, but I have to avoid 6-7 accidents every time I drive to work.

That's exactly how I got hit by a car while walking. Dude rolled up to make a right, looked left for cars, and went ahead without ever turning his fucking head

>It's not a matter of not being able to see, it's a matter of never feeling like they should look in the first place. It's not a matter of not being able to stop in time, it's a matter of not wanting to.

Expect it, and accept it. Unless you're going to/can do something about it, what reason is there to stress yourself out about it? The only way to get back at them is to crash and have them be at fault, but then you've fucking crashed and have to fix your car. You'll only do that a couple times before realizing it's not worth it. The nature of the modern roadway is chaotic, and the modern human is selfish and dumb. These are circumstances that will not soon change. The only thing you can change is yourself and how you react to the constant stressors of life. They will present themselves, but how much will you let them discomfort you?

>Unless you're going to/can do something about it,
Well, I honestly think not making excuses and not saying 'Well, yeah new better than to expect a person to act like a decent person' is doing in part to not normalize that kind of behavior.

I'm not saying I'm not a defensive driver (and rider and walker), I am and that's how I've had so few accidents in my life. However, I won't be speaking any normalizing language.

Totally his fault because it's the law and it's reasonable to stop behind the first line, then slowly proceed forward until you can see oncoming traffic. But did you hop off the curb expecting him to stop? This is the type of mistake I'm trying to point out.

>Arizona
Most chaotic traffic in the country from what I've seen. Texas is a little fucky, but Arizona is the fucking wild west. Ironically, California traffic is the best outside of the major cities. Congestion is common but they know how to work together and make the best of it.

> cant tell how far away a bike is nor how fast it's going
> decide to possibly get in it's way instead of just waiting for it to pss

>:But did you hop off the curb expecting him to stop?
No, actually I was already in the walk, but the point I'm trying to make is that language has an impact on shit and you're normalizing and excusing his behavior even if ya think you're not, dude.;

This

also, the bike was right fucking there when the car started moving over DOUBLE YELLOWS illegally.

it's literally a failure to yield, failure to pay attention, failure to have a working brain.

anyone defending the car driver is retarded

I'm not trying to normalize it. If you're a rough cookie, spit on their car and call them a cunt. It's not illegal because it doesn't do any permanent damage, and it teaches them not to be a cunt because some people may actually call them out on it. I can't tell you how many people have done something stupid and I pull up next to them and just stare at them, sometimes I'll yell something, and they don't even turn their head. I can tell they heard me because of how uncomfortable they look, but they won't even fucking look at me.

People feel invincible and anonymous in their vehicles. They become the machine. In life they have to deal with being below others, but on the road they're just as fast as everyone else, or sometimes they feel the need to be bigger and faster which is reflected by their choice of vehicle. But once you remind them they're still the weak piece of shit they are, and that they can easily be put in a position where they're no longer protected by the equality and anonymity that machine provides, they shrink back down. Of course you may come across the manlet who still feels the need to flex his ego even without the vehicle, so the old proverb applies: "don't talk shit unless you can back it up."

I went to Little Rock AK for work, and they are EXTREMELY aggressive drivers. There are a lot of blind turns, cross-lane opposing interstate ramps, and other fucky traffic ways. I guess it was trial by fire, because they were actually pretty decent at driving. Kind of like Asian countries where it’s sketchy as fuck all the time, but few accidents

>double line
>they aren't allowed to cross
cars fault legally

My $0.02:
During my MSF course, my ridercoach said that 9/10 motorcycle accidents are the fault of or could have been prevented by the rider (i.e.: speeding/riding recklessly, not planning an escape route)

Wh*te women in jeeps and crossovers are trash drivers too but I guess it's OK because they're white

>normalizing and excusing
No, I'm educating people so they don't get hurt. There's ideal situations, then there's reality. He was wrong, sure, but that doesn't mean you should get hurt. Better to have a close call than a broken pelvis.

But there's one thing I see happening often, people hop into the crosswalk without even looking. You can tell they see the car in their peripheral vision, they know it's going to fast, but they hop in front of it to make the driver feel stupid. That's fucking dumb, risking your safety to prove someone wrong. Luckily if they get hit they also get ticketed in my state, you can't jump into oncoming traffic regardless of whether or not you have a crosswalk signal. The only exception would be your case where he's supposed to stop behind the first line but doesn't, then he's committed the violation.

>double yellow
>and a solid white
car is absolutely at fault

I need to relate to you the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
>sitting on Chestnut watching traffic, left lane for all traffic, right lane for bikes and buses only
>car 100% up cyclists' ass
>'Bikes and buses only!' they say, almost comically nice
>car lays on horn and creeps further up ass
>again, 'Bikes and buses only' from the cyclist
>motorist flipping out, laying on the horn, very close, nearly clipping the back wheel if they didn't tap it
>cyclist lets the car get up next to them eventually
>spits into the driver side window
>does a 180, riding against traffic to escape their assailant
Dude deserved u-lock justice and got off easy

>9/10 motorcycle accidents are the fault of or could have been prevented by the rider
by his logic 10/10 accidents are the fault of the rider by being on a bike

Legally yes.
Locally, no.
Biker should've anticipated this and adjusted his speed accordingly but instead he payed the ultimate price.

*logically

>ywn have a solid 8/10 blonde wannabe paramedic ask you to squeeze her hand

I always say it takes two people to run into eachother.

They likely have their own language that you won't understand unless you drive there often. Driving has its own language, like body language, that varies from place to place. Take for example California where they do the "California stop." Hundreds of cars can be at a 4 way intersection with stop signs on each side, yet no car will ever stop. Traffic will keep flowing efficiently because everybody expects the person who gets to the sign first to roll it so traffic can keep moving.

I wish we had that here in AZ. Some people are polite and wait for you to go despite coming to a stop first, and others (most) are rude assholes who stop for 0.000001 seconds and are biased to think that they stopped first, then floor it.

the car starting moving when the bike was right next to him
there was no time for the biker to adjust (you see him try to avoid the car).

the car was simply unaware of what was in his blind zone and crossed multiple lines illegally. poor driver with zero situational awareness.

Well yeah, he should have been going slower. But if the car didn't break the law and cross where it was supposed to be safe he would have never had this interaction.

I'm a service tech in the Bay Area and I see these fast trak idiots doing this shit all the time nearly causing accidents. Or, those people avoiding the cameras by switching lanes at the last second, nearly causing an accident, and then dip back into the fast trak. Shit is retarded.

>I can't afford the ambulance

what the fuck did he mean by this?

Attached: 1515908638278.png (318x308, 169K)

Fuck yes. It should be a thing to spit on bad drivers. While it's assault if you spit on or at the actual person, it's not if you spit on their car (and it'll probably dry before the cops come).

Everyone should just get really good at spitting so when the asshole cutting everyone off stops at a red light he gets spit on multiple times from all sides. His only defense will be to rolls his window down a crack and try to spit back, if he dares risk getting spit on his interior.

Also, the car didn't even use a blinker like the scum he is. The car is the typical person that infuriates me on my daily drives as a service tech. Why is it so god damn hard to indicate. You payed for the feature so get your fucking moneys worth.

Oh, no. This fuckface has his windows wide open and definitely caught a loogie to the face

yep fully agree but the biker was splitting way too fast. he's the one lying on the ground not the car driver so it's his fault.

No he said 9/10, are you fuckin illiterate lmfao

Wow you have a lot of mental illness and anger issues, don't you

>he's the one lying on the ground not the car driver so it's his fault.
You know that's retarded and I don't need to tell you why

that was an illegal lane change

the biker played his position poorly and wound up with an L.
the legality of blaming those at fault is irrelevant from the perspective of a hospital bed

Dude, nah. At some point we really do have to be holding people acountable, not just legally, but socially.

Too relatable?

you're talking out of your ass dude. timesofsandiego.com/life/2017/12/14/california-drivers-ranked-the-worst-in-the-united-states-in-annual-study/

also you border mexico so i don't know why you're surprised and upset that they're in your state. just fuck california. can't wait for it all to burn down, fall apart, get claimed by the ocean or covered in ash.

You can follow the law, if you want. People do bad things. No one else has to watch out for your faggot ass. Smoke a joint some day.

Yes but from the side of the person who wants to do the spitting.

The state of the bike fag. Acting tough because durr other people act tough. Fool that you are! You live the same way as those you hate.

>No one else has to watch out for your faggot ass
They actual do by law, and ought to be draw and quartered by society for not doing so. If I have no problem looking both ways and turning my fucking head around before doing something, you can do.

>:Smoke a joint some day.
I was stone for almost a year and a half straight before, friend, that's not the issue

The law. The law. The law. You are so naive. How have you made it this far? Do you always depend on everyone to be perfect and everyone to follow "Da Rulez"?

he probably mean that he couldn't afford to ride in an ambulance. are you this fucking retarded?

I live in California and what you describe as happening in az happens here all the time.
I dont see too many actualy california/hollywood stops anymore. but I live in the burbs.

Aside from obvious, statistic, bootlicking, extortionist bullshit, the law is there because it's what's safe. You ought o have a vested interest in your own safety and others, friend. Hurr durr, you're retarded for expecting others to want to not to fucking kill you normalizes that shit
Shun everyone who does that kind of thing, call them an asshole, make so much a fuss that they can't get a fucking job, dude. SOmething

4 wheeler is 100% at fault

you are supposed to check mirrors before merging or changing lanes. if it was me I would have been at fault for unsafe lane change and whatever else DOT could throw at me

t. CDL class A trucker and 17-year perfect record

I personally can't wait until full car automation so whoever made the car is at fault for killing motorcyclists that drive at unsafe speeds in between lanes.

Yeah, a bike entering a cars lane is totally different because they're potential for damage is lower and they're not getting away from the accident (As shown in the vid), and they're blind spots are smaller. A car might not see you because of the spots (Or in reality because they're not looking), have a greater potential to do damaged because of how big and protected they are, and can get away half the time.
Different.

so it's okay for a bike to share a lane with something that has massive blind spots? lmfao
I drive 2 inches from the middle line for people like you :)

The gridlock is unavoidable, that doesn't mean they're bad drivers. It's due to the state being overpopulated. That's actually a factor in what makes them great drivers, they can actually get around in all that. You can't, so when you visit California you sit in traffic and cry that it must be because everyone's a bad driver.

The stereotype also comes from the fact that there's so many Californians and they travel a lot. So people from shithole states are likely to spot a Cali plate at one point or another, and get cut off by them. Little do they realize they're the one driving like shit and the Californian is cutting them off to be more efficient or be safer, by getting in front of their slow, erratically braking ass.

I used to live there and the roads were pleasant, despite being overcrowded. I came back after about a decade hiatus and the roads are absolutely savage now, like fucking mad max. The guy who pointed out that CA is now flooded by Mexicans may be onto something. Mexico is known for having the worst drivers in the world. I don't get what else could be responsible other than a complete demographics shift.

>Mexico is known for having the worst drivers in the world.
So I guess China doesn't exist anymore? Or are you Chinese in ethnicity?
