Should you buy a cop car?

Should you buy a cop car?

If you just want to be a poser faggot, no.

If you want a comfortable, torquey 4-door shitbox, yes.

If you want a comfortalbe, torquey 4-door shitbox, non-cop cars are also a good option.

Yes. Fuck all the soyboys that shit their pants seeing one. A p71 is something you can enjoy with zero fucks given. Everyone likes the spotlights, used the pushbar once on a broken down shitbox, never had a problem with it

It's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks.

YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE A COP. YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE A COP.

And a cop motor, a 281 cubic inch plant. It's a model made before flex fuel so it'll run good on non-ethanol gas. No equivalent to the 'got a lot of pickup' line, though.

Got a lot of squeal to the all season tires

Fix the cigarette lighter.

>Should you buy a cop car?
Why not? They are cheap and good cars that have usually been well maintained.

Wheres the caddy?

Well if you want Nigger, Spic, Arab, Gook and white trash bodily fluids in the back of the car than yes!

Get a detective car. Not much more expensive.

>If you want a comfortable, torquey 4-door shitbox, yes.
then just get the civilian model

Oh no, I see, no you see it’s a really nice car, and they really built them well!

>very high mileage
>cheap state maintenance means you'll be fixing everything again soon
>look like an asshole or a poo-skin
>probably costs more than a civilian model
>may have had more black people in it that you'd find comfortable
>base model means cloth seats
Have fun sniffing cop-farts

Superior V8 barge coming through

>superior
>blacked out Crown Vic with a DOHC engine with twice the upkeep and running costs and it's STILL SLOW

Those are hardly faster and cost 4-5 times more than a p71. Marauders are heavier and the dohc in stock form only makes 50hp more while having less low end torque

Would a regular crown vic be good for a comfy, reliable daily with a bit of oomph?
I don't see much point in getting an interceptor model outside of larping.

Yes. Expect regular refueling stops and difficulty finding proper-sized parking spots depending on where you're going, though.

It's down 20hp, not as agressive shifting, nofun suspension and smaller brakes. You'd be retarded to pay more for a non p71 because "you don't want to larp", crown vics are hardly in service anymore and if they still are in your area it's a testament to their reliability.

Crown vics are shorter than the new Taurus and many other modern full size cars.

Get a town car instead

>Crown vics are shorter than the new Taurus and many other modern full size cars.
What? No. Bumper to bumper, a current gen Taurus is 202 inches, and most other modern full-size sedans come in at around 200 inches as well (Charger, Impala, 7-series, S90, etc); an aero or whale body Crown Vic is 212 in with Town Cars coming in at 215 and TC Ls reaching 220+. In terms of standard sedans/wagons, about the only thing you're gonna see on the road with any regularity that's longer than a Panther is a B-body.

The problem with buying an old cop car is that everyone you drive behind is going to go exactly the speed limit.

Whether you want to look like a a cop or not, people will think you are one

>nofun suspension
>he doesn't have fun scraping his sideview mirrors against the ground every time he takes a corner faster than 30mph

I slam shopping carts full force into ex-cop cars when people keep the fucking spotlight and push bar and cop wheels.

Full. Fucking. Force.

>regular crown vic
Nonfleet towncar > grand marquis > p72 > p71 > fleet towncar

Honestly if you want a cheap comfy reliable car with a v8 get a mk viii 7th gen cougar, roadmaster or a ls 400.

Can vouch for the Roadmaster
>Passive aggressie vandalism while the owner isn't around
Tough guy!

Mark VIIIs have the DOHC 4.6 so expect the extra goodies and/or hassles that come with that, plus VIIIs in general are basically made of unobtainium and parts that you are not going to easily find replacements for, period (like the neon brakelight, unless someone started making them again in the past few years).

For ultimate poorfaggotry, the Panther bodies really can't be beat- body on frame so you can beat the hell out of it, cheap parts, easy to work on, loads and loads of room inside and out, and run good on regular gas (unlike the DOHC 4.6s and the LS400 which want to guzzle premium, and if you're on a tightwad budget 40c a gallon difference is an awful lot). B-bodies are just as good, with the couple engine quirks just replaced by other issues (trading intake manifolds and coil packs for Optispark and Dex-cool, basically) and the platform itself making Panthers look even slower- a 9C1 Caprice can and will be quicker bone stock than a 10-year-newer Marauder- but they're getting pretty rare in some areas.

The steelies are pretty good, but they've got no excuses for leaving the silver caps on.

Get a Lincoln Town Car instead, it is the thinking mans car.
