What the fuck happened to Jaguar Veeky Forums?

What the fuck happened to Jaguar Veeky Forums?
>Used to make classiest, stateliest car
>Had excellent craftsmanship inside and out with great leatherworks
>Is now a shade of its former self
>Design worse than a Dacia
>Interior quality literally worse than a Kia (you have to see to beileve)

Ford sold them

the same that happened to all cars after 2005, they all became garbage

Literally owned by poos in the loo

>Ford sold them
*Ford bought them

what?
jaguar still makes good stuff, although their aesthetic shifted from old man british to sort of slick tech british, if that makes any sense

XJ interior still looks real damn nice

What are you talking about? Jaguar has never been as good as it is now, they are far more reliable than they used to be and while the interiors aren't very old man british now, they are still very elegant with kind of an understatement, just modernized.

>infotainment shit
No its a bag of wank.

at least S type wasn't based on ford mondeo

its amazing how much that looks like a volvo.

not that much to be honest

>complaining about a thing found on literally every single car except the shittiest of shitboxes
i don't follow

>posts a pic of a volvo
>says it doesnt look like a volvo

because a lincoln ls is so much better

The Lincoln was based on the Jag, it came first you mong

Jag still make the F-Type so they are ok in my book.

actually it's still a ford platform underneath, so it doesn't matter if the jag or lincoln came first, you mong

It was designed by Jaguar, Ford liked it and decided to use it for a Lincoln product, Ford didn't design it they just took it from one of their IPs and applied it elsewhere, YOU MONG

They were always shit, but at least the older models looked kinda cool. The new ones look like Hyundais

Jaguar had been owned by Ford since 1990 its a Ford platform

It wasn't designed by Dearborn or Auburn Hills, so no, it wasn't designed by Ford themselves, but rather one of their IPs; Jaguar.
Being that Ford owned Jaguar, they made a corporate decision to design a Lincoln product using the platform designed by their property, Jaguar
Is that clear enough for you you thick cunt?

I own the XE S and it's pretty rad, just miss the valve exhaust from the F-type but it still sounds nice

>It wasn't designed by Dearborn or Auburn Hills, so no, it wasn't designed by Ford
so this isn't a ford?

this isn't a ford either

Did anyone ask for the derro convict's opinion? Sod off, you know exactly what I meant

How stupid would it be for me to get a used XF or XE on a Carmax warranty?

Eh, I've heard XFs are pretty reliable, haven't heard much about the XEs

the f-type is the only jag worth buying imo, the sedans dont look great. the suv's i guess are comparible to porsche's but id still rather have the porsche suv

You're retarded, I'd take an XF or XJ over their competition based on looks alone

For real. I mean, if people like BMW or Mercedes' recent styling as an acquired taste, then fine, but Jaguar's current lineup is all pretty attractive.

They don't push themselves to beat their competitors.

Mein neger
Jags are sexy as hell

I know right? Saw one 2yrs ago at the auto show, it the materials were sooo cheap. I remember the days when you sat in a jag and were awestruck. Today, it's like sitting in a Kia

Early 2000s Jag with XKs and such are the best Jags, prove me wrong

Well, Volvo and Jaguar were siblings not too long ago that’s why maybe

Indeed

Thought that was a new 350Z lol

It looks like a literal 2006 car

I like it because it does look a bit old school

>Implying thats a bad thing

At least better than the shitty designs we get today

Attached: 20180314_152202.jpg (720x1147, 235K)

HAHAHAHHAHA

F-Type SVR would rip a 350Z's throat out.

India bought JLR

Ironically, Tata is bringing JLR out of the shitter with a couple missteps -looking at you, Range Rover SV. Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking with that thing?

>going surfing in a jaaaaaaag
The absolute madman

Or you could just be out for a cruise, but just imagine that coming out
>yeah, went out to rude some tasty waves
>in the Jaaaaaggggg
