Mav.

We got one to come to our uni this weekend. I don't want them to go

Goodbye sunflower field

looks like chromehounds

is MAV good?

Never played it, you should look up some info on it.

Yeah it's really good now. Spiritual successor to Chromehounds. It doesn't have the campaign system in yet but everything else is good.

>It doesn't have the campaign system in yet but everything else is good.

didnt play chromehounds, but wasnt the campaign a glorified tutorial?

That too, but I mean the persistent multiplayer faction war. It's not out yet, but in the meantime there are regular multiplayer battles to join.

online campaign, not the single player

Tell me more. I actually bought it just last night and I'm liking it so far, but I'm pretty clueless on a lot of it.
Foremost on my mind, how much stability do I need to make sniper rifle shots not throw the weapon camera?

It depends on a lot of factors, like the recoil on the sniper rifles, the cockpit you're using, and the placement of it all relative to the center of balance on your MAV.

Typically a low budget sniper would use the arrow cockpit with reverse legs and have plenty of stability.

Other things to keep in mind: Generators aren't necessary to deploy, but being under powered will slow you down. Heat is also a factor, so putting a generator somewhere vulnerable or next to heat generating weapons may cause you to detonate as soon as an incendiary weapon looks at you.

Oh yeah, and some cockpits have more delay between weapons when firing in a cluster, so keep in mind that your sniper cluster may string with a greater fire delay.

Yeah, I saw that.
And I just made a tread with six of those Quad rockets that actually got some kills against AI. How impractical are the rockets in this?

...

...

The rockets can be pretty nuts when used right. The Quad rockets are some of the shortest range ones in the game. Once you unlock heavy rockets you can Katyusha the enemy team from across the map.

The small rockets like those are best for stripping off less durable components from the enemy.

That's cool, but
now I have a goal.
This must happen.

It can be done with the regular rockets too. I think the X or Y6 ones are the longest range models.
