I'm really enjoying BtS so far and think Rachel's very interesting, but nothing will replace the real love I know Max and Chloe have. If we believe what the Deck 9 guys were saying prior to release, they showed a pre-release version of Episode 1 to the folks at Dontnod, and the reception was positive.

Since then, the official Dontnod twitter posted (what seems like an obligatory) "congrats on the new game guys" type tweet on the day of release. Otherwise, Dontnod folks like Michel and Luc haven't said anything other than retweet a few bits and pieces from the Life is Strange twitter following the BtS release.

So, essentially, the frenchies have still said pretty much nothing at all about BtS. Some lowkey liking/retweeting, but without wanting to try to dive much further into sifting through their social media accounts, that's about it.

I'd say it'd almost certainly be better, because it'd allow (force?) them to focus directly on the drama/narrative stuff. I can certainly imagine a version of Season 1 without any of the time travel elements ... and BtS certainly seems to be pushing along without it just fine.
