It's an 8 speed torque converter. Then I'd pin it on a bad launch. I wouldn't be surprised if the Stinger was a tiny bit faster till the Mustang hit second due to a fuck ton of low end torque and having 8 gears. But no way in hell should it be half a second faster over the Mustang.
