Best generations

What are the best generations of different cars?

I think foxbodies are the best generation of mustang, specifically 87-93

As someone who owns one, no. They're problem children you learn to love, with lots of inherent flaws. The sound, the t5, and the analog driving feel keep you coming back, but there's a lot wrong with them from the factory. The 2018+s and the 11-14s have my vote for being the best. They nailed their styles, have much better suspension geometry, and the Coyote is insane.

I think we can all agree that the GC/GF was the best generation of Impreza.

Agreed

Because coupe

Ech, it's like you tried to pick the worst generation possible. Objectively you can't beat the newest ones for performance. As for looks just about everyone will agree on the 1st gen.

Yeah, 22B is still the top Impreza.

Mustangs are for girls

so is my dick

Fox bodies are hard to argue with, I'll give you that. Especially now. A 90-93 5.0 is probably one of the more cheaper bang-for-the-buck project cars out there at this point. Personally I think in due time the current Mustangs, the S550, will go down as the greatest of all. Ford did so much right this time around.

This is right on the money
>drove an 89 GT in high school
>just got a 2014 GT
Feels good man

agree

also, 34 is best 5

>however, 39 is best fast 5

I want one, although Im skeptical on reliability and running costs. I do live in Yurop tho so they go for under €5k with service history and little rust.

Agreed on both accounts.
>Unquestionably best 3-series (E46 is tied with E30 for best M3 though)

The '87+ are obviously the best performing foxes, but glass headlight foxes superior looking

MIATA 1989-2018 THEYRE ALL THE BEST GEN

>foxbody best
>new gen best
Are you giant cocksmoking faggots? Or did you just forget about the 60's

It's doubtlessly iconic, but it depends on someone's definition of best.

Z32 is the best gen Nissan Z car

i'll agree to that if we give the E46 the three extra letters it deserves

CSL I hope?

I own an E46, but E30 is definitely the best 3 series.

i didn\t know other peope had this good taste

Best gen of MR2.
Fags and posers hate it since they care more about asthetics than the driveability of the car

if your idea of a car is something that just looks good then yes its good.

If you actually want to drive once in a while old muscle cars are worhtless pieces of shit that should be burned

You heard me. Peaked in the 90s. All downhill from there.

E36 was the best 3 series, prove me wrong
Pro tip; you can not

best generation of the pontiac gran prix 98-03
after that they got kinda fat

>PSST. Hey, what's the cheapest generation of Mustang to get into?
>Fox body
>I THINK FOX BODIES ARE THE BEST GENERATION OF MOO-STANG!

>the GC/GF was the best generation of Impreza.
Yes indeed, especially the 2-door. I loved my hawkeye STi, but there was an unpleasant weight-shift in the back on turn-in. Very little of the underlying car changed from '92 until '08, so an '04+ STi 2.5L + 6-speed drivetrain bolts in with minimal work other than [I assume] a shorter driveshaft.

SN-95s are cheaper these days. At least in my area.

Give it a couple more years and Veeky Forums will be singing the praises of that generation.

SN-95s are just stiffer Foxes with a shittier quality interior.

And when the Fox Bodies are all used up they'll praise the 95's "stiff handling" and "clean, simple interior"
It's like when real estate speculators set their sites on a poor neighborhood because the houses are cheap and they start talking about how quaint, charming and authentic it is. Then when they've flipped all the houses they move on to the next poor neighborhood and call it "funky, bohemian and ethnic!"

Why? Ive dd my clasic for years

Great cars, but they gained so much weight over the E30 that they're just not quite as fun

Best mustang is objectively the 69 boss 302 or gt500.
Followed by
>71-73
>11-14
>06-11
>87-93
>14-18
>99-06
>94-98
78-86
74-78

With the 64-67 just above the fox.

These splits make no fucking sense. 99-06? That's post facelift SN95 but also the early S197s.

And of course various cobras, king cobras, machs, and bosses occupying various spaces across the list.
Example: a 1978 mustang 2 king cobra is aesthetically superior to the fox, performance but may lag behind the 64 mustang in either appearance depending on taste.

Sorry, 99-05.
I should have probably just gone by body styles
