Reminder that it is almost springtime and you should probably wash your Hog (motorcycle)

>Indian wins 14 of 18 races their first season since 1953 and sweep the podium at 6 of them >thinking the beatdown will be any better this year If anything it'll be worse, the Wrecking Crew is back and they ain't fucking around.
Ian Carter
>18811620 >>Implying sombody cares about 60yo american bicycle racing.
when can i buy a street legal flat track motorcycle
Hunter Cook
But I did that 3 days ago and haven't ridden since. And now temps are starting to drop again. >tomorrow is last day of work >2 weeks of vacation coming up >even more boring free time >can't even spend it riding FML
Daniel Watson
They top at 35mph and if you get into trouble on the road, oh well. Plus you have to stay in the right lane on city streets, which is the most dangerous lane there is. But with no gtfo power.
Jordan Sullivan
>mfw Indian announces production FTR1200 at the end of AFT 2018 season
>stay in the right lane on city street Where the fuck is this a rule? Because its not in america
Nathan Edwards
>>riding position maybe if you're a limp wristed fagboi >>cornering ability I rode one and it can lean fairly well while being very balanced >>insurance is the F considered touring or sport standard?
I just hate being bent over like I'm about to receive Tyrone's dick but maybe you have enough experience with that idk It's not just lean angle, it's also the turning circle. I'd have to check the numbers but isn't the wheelbase on a Busa pretty long? Insurance is lower mostly due to the GSX-S not being notorious for gofast addicts, and the fact that it has lower displacement.
Why try to fix what isn't broken? The K5 engine was great.
Nicholas Gomez
good lookin bike. looks super clean i ride a DRZ400s but would also like to get a dedicated streetbike. the SV is one of the bikes i'm considering
What kind of entry-level bikes would be nice for camping/long-distances? Wondering what the options are for comfort+moderate off-road (think patchy forest service roads) capability.
Luke Morris
If Indian is planning on releasing an FTR1200 AND FTR750 at the same time I bet it'll be at least another full year before we see them.
kek, I've seen in some reviews that the turning radius of the GSXS isn't that good
Nicholas Martin
>15yo engine >Recycled just to sell it to goys for more shekels Same with the gsxr1100 engine, they reci cled in those shitty bandits untill 2007, fucking pathetic, there just pretty lazy.
Ryan Collins
>being this insecure about not having a motorcycle license Cry more
Logan Morgan
>2018-2005=15 Really cranked my engine. Progress for progress' sake is stupid. Never touch a running system.
KLR650/DR650 are decent dual sport options. KLR is a bit of a pig though, so putting it on single track trails is spoopy. Dont listen to
Jason Bailey
Where do you think you go on a scooter that does 35mph on a 45mph street? Unless you want to impede the flow of traffic and pay more for a ticket then your shit scooter is worth.
did you slide out the rear like a pro? how was it compared to what you usually ride?
Elijah Martin
installed evotech levers on the tuono today got my new perf jacket and gloves in the mail yesterday ready2ride
Blake Edwards
Elaborate, my friend.
This particular piece of machinery has piqued my interest. I daresay it has a quite similar visage of Great Yamaha’s offering. Would you please tell us about >not 30 is all about?
Bentley Roberts
It can do over 35 moron My XR100 does well over 35
Benjamin Mitchell
It's good to see so much love for I ndian these days :D
Michael Cruz
This was a poor attempt. Try again
Sebastian Wright
>not washing you motorcycle (hog) multiple times a week
I'll weeks at a time with mine just sitting outside. FITE ME IRL
Lincoln Fisher
Xr100 isn't a scooter you fuck.
Jaxon White
>xr100 >cub
Bentley Bailey
These modified cubs look cool but are morally wrong.
Luis Parker
He can but he doesn't. He's too much of a faggot to do it.
David Gray
>750. You mean they will make a 750cc road version of it, too?
Dominic Cook
Go look up specs idiots
Blake Long

I just want a lightweight naked bike that handles and carries its weight like a sportbike without having to resort to buying unreliable, overpriced euroshit. Sat on an striple R and it was immediately apparent that it was GOAT. Rode it around the block and it was like riding a 600 with actual handlebars.
Why does europe have to make all the good nakeds?
Jackson Turner
Honda was supposed to make some neo Cafe racer which looked cool. I'm trying to get a 1200s. Don't know if I want to sell the 796.
ducati's have improved a lot in the last few years in regards to reliability.
Isaac Lee
Apparently it has the same backbone frame as the hornets and I don't think a single frame spar in the middle is great for rigidity, so it might be noticeably ass in high speed corners and heavy braking
I've never ridden a backbone framed bike but there has to be a reason almost nobody uses them
>look at suzuki forums >how do i accomplish this maintenance task? >are these cheap chinese levers/fairings good? >best mods? >look at triumph forums >PSA: your bike will stop working in this manner if its made between year and year >PSA: another way triumphs break >guys my bike stop working what the hell
Caleb Peterson
Still waiting for AWD Ducatis now that they're owned by Audi/
Josiah Thompson
How doable is a 600cc sportbike for daily commutes? Will it break my back without having to fall off?
Charles Price
Not bad unless you need to carry a bunch of shit. Backpacks suck especially bad when hunched over
That's because everyone sells or junks their rice burner before it breaks, once they realize what a shitheap they bought.
Logan Barnes
I just want something a bit quicker. I enjoy opening up on the highway with the guys and hitting the drag strip. Though the 796 flicks like nothing. I'll probably keep it for our trips down south when we hit up the real Twisties. Unfortunately upstate New York does not have any real nice roads.
depends on the sportbike, some have better ergos than others. But they're all more or less the same genre of hunched over.
Aiden Garcia
+for rides
Ryan Hughes
I do alot of highway so it's gotta go fast, not too sure about anything smaller desu. Also how bad is a nekkid bike on the highway for some time?
Elijah Price
>skimming a riders forum tells you everything about the bikes reliability you need to know I own a Triumph, I've never had a problem that me or the previous owner didn't cause, same for pretty much any Eurobike (besides the new hypermotards, they're fucking fucked)
Jaxson Sullivan
Depends on the bike and if you're fat, old, or both.
Eli Phillips
Only hoping at this point. Polaris' CEO and their President of Motorcycles have both been very vocal about their intentions to expand the Indian lineup into non-cruiser classes, they just hired Ola Stenegard (previous Head of Vehicle Design for BMW Motorrad for 15 years) as their new Director of Product Design and said specifically in their press release that his role will be to "expand Indian into new product categories", and they already have an extremely well proven purpose-built 750cc race engine, they just need to re-purpose it for street use. I'm pretty confident we'll see a street legal FTR750, but I have no idea if it'll come out at the same time as the FTR1200 or years later.
In both fatigue and hearing the wind it can suck. I ride a good hour and a half to Canada many times during the summer. Fun enough to ride up but it would be much more enjoyable with a windscreen.
Tyler Lopez
A 500 will sit at 100 mph happily for hours. It won't take ridiculously long to get there. It'll be way comfier than a supersport thanks to not being hunched over. I found wind to be a non-issue at any speed these bikes are capable of. You can always install a small aftermarket windshield and hunch down behind it at high speeds if you find it to be a problem. I can't imagine riding 2+ hours on a supersport. I've done 12 hour days on my CB no problem.
Bentley Morris
wasn't this reviewed as one of the worst bikes ever made when it came out?
