Not ultra rare, but anywhere that gets road salt or just shitty weather, rust will have claimed a good number, making it a high production car with few surviving examples.

Just got a 24mm sway bar for my gsr on yonaka coilovers. How long til I spin out into a bus?
Caleb Lopez
I've oversteered a few times with my rear sway bar. I had to try to make it happen though.
Adrian Johnson
why, do you want one?
Thomas Jackson
Sorry for the vague description but I'm trying to identify a car I keep seeing around. I'm fairly certain it's an Acura but I haven't been able to surely make out the badging. It's a two door coupe, and has tail lights and rear end similar to the Toyota Solara but I'm fairly sure it's not a Toyota, it also looks too sleek to be a Solara
some fag in a civic with 3" end keeps dumping some cunt off nearby and keeps driving outside my window couple times a week and it's annoying as fuck.
what do?
Bentley White
brick the cunt

Same problem. There's a pothole about 50 yards from my gate. A guy in a DC5, that to be fair it sounds great at low RPM but for some reason after slowing down to go through the pothole he always hits vtec. Sounds like absolute shit at high RPM.
Juan Martin
Are these rims on 8th gens add-ons? I like them better than the other trims including the EX but why do I rarely seem them?
The letters on mine are white instead of red because I put some paint on there but honestly it's my favorite shift knob of all time
Justin Phillips
Nice. I only got this one for $20 and they sell for $70+ on eBay. Might as well jump on it.
>Current one, also paid $20
Well not really current since the threads broke off the shifter. I got a AW11 one on there now just because it's tall and won't fall off. This ball knob is heavy as fuck and could hurt somebody. Kek
Not doing the same thing the next time. But always remember to check things autisticly

could anybody help me out i checked forums but didnt really get a straight answer i put an f20b into my 90 accord the only wiring problem im having is the distributor has an external coil can i use an h22 internal coil distributor
The theft stats though. I've got a 96 ex coup. F22B1 standard. Starting the search for all upgrades. Extra f22b1 for swap/rebuild. Complete profirmance internals. T3/t4 turbine and mani, oversized injectors, obd1 ECU and chip. Was stolen a few months back and the idiots cooked the clutch. Kevlar/ceramic hybrid. I'd rather replace the clutch every month than an auto trans. Ever. Honda autos are only a little better than Ford torus.
I don't believe it is direct reason, it advances the valve lash timing allowing higher rev with less chance of valve float, so in essence you can reach greater RPMs my F22B1 vtec engages at about 2650, it's designed for economy, where as others engage anywhere from 6k ~ 8k You get better fuel economy from driving style and a manual transmission, cruising 45mph 5th gear will save you on the long run, even though you can hold 4500 rpm at the same speed. Any auto with OD will do similar, but most are still only good for 65mph max fuel Econ.
Landon Ross
Mine engages at 4800, stock fifth gen Civic Si ECU. Regular VTEC is for performance so my MPG will drop a lot if I use it a bunch.
Think of it as having two separate sets of cams. Or just two different cams if you just have one.
Ayden Thomas
Are there any other Honda engines that will fit in a 2nd gen Fit (heh)? I really really like my Fit, but the lack of power has my wanting.
Julian Sanders
>advances the valve lash timing allowing higher rev with less chance of valve float, so in essence you can reach greater RPMs
>Shortly after that post a Nissan SUV almost hit me in the work parking lot >Says he didn't see the red hatchback with LED headlights, LED Pizza Hut topper, and loud exhaust >My horn is what saved me
I rebuilt my entire AC system myself and brought it into a shop in East Texas cost me only $150 to have it charged including a $30 charge for replaced gasket on re-charge port
Leo Bennett
If your local it's a great idea, why couldn't you could swap in a modern drive tran and electrical system from a wrecked 90's/2000's Honda.
Logan Wood
That's still basically a scrap car, you can get an EJ1 here in CA for $800
if you're replacing the compressor i would also replace the drier, expansion valve and evaporator.
Reason being if the compressor goes it tends to send shrapnel into the drier, break the drier bag and sending bits of drier bag into the expansion valve and evap core.
Tyler Watson
And I nearly ran over a fucking cat.
>Smash brakes >Ready to feel the bump in my left tire >It turned around just in time
Tonight is all kinda fucked up. The tips are great though.
Matthew Carter
do they actually have a machine or just cans?
also what did you do about the oil? did you fill it yourself or can they also put oil mix in with the freon?
my compressor didn't blow. it still actually blows cold air, but the condenser is bent due to an accident, so i figure i might as well just replace the compressor as well if i'm going through this and it's got a ton of miles anyway.

i heard honda is easily the worst japanese brand there is. is this true?
Nathaniel Hill
That's not Nissan. I'll gladly own any Japanese car but a Renault era Nissan.
My old Honda treats me well and it will be an antique next year.
See if they have record of trans fluid changes every 30,000 miles. Otherwise it's good.

question. How are Rota R-spec wheels? They're replicas of EK9 CTR wheels. I know Rota always has questionable quality but is it a legit alternative to buying JDM OEM CTR wheels?
Brayden Hughes
Rota overall is pretty good quality. There are drag, track, and drift cars using them all the time nowadays. You'll probably get some shade thrown your way for having a replica but overall nobody in the real world gives a shit.
Andrew Roberts
It's the best brand.
Charles James
I'm looking at a 1991 DA9 Acura Integra RS, apparently it has a Prelude engine swapped in, but I'm pretty the stock motor is in the car. B18A1?
My goal with the car is to strip it, give it some decent suspension, and have a fun little pocket rocket for track days/autox.
I want to build an engine and trans for it on the side, preferably on the cheap. I'm better versed with Chevy small blocks. What are my options for something that can rev high but won't break the bank? I wouldn't call it a poorfag build, but being able to use as many stock Honda parts as possible would be desirable. (aftermarket reliability mods like a block girdle and related are definitely being used to hold the damn thing together)
What are my options for something that can rev high? I guess I'm kinda asking for the chevy 302 equivalent of a b series? Custom work isn't desirable, but can be done if necessary. Just want to keep costs low.
Prelude had the best specs for FF (not sure for s2k/nsx compairs) but the civic is like a vega., small, light and classic - yes you can fit a big block in it, but you'll have to modify at least motor mounts. But most 1.8 ~ 2.x should fit. Scout CL, letgo, Facebook marketplace for donor chassis, swap in, fit some eBay crap - might have to spring for a cam and piston set while you have the block free of an engine bay, but I too am from old school American muscle, I'm sure there's blocks in the sub 2L that can cook as much or more than JDM big blocks. Also AC delete, EGR delete, manual steering rack or loop rack and manual brakes. The less you demand from the motor, the more power you can put to the wheels.
Gabriel Fisher
hey hondafags I've never opened one of these threads before but I though I'd share my 3K Civic experience you guys like blogs right?
>be me this past summer >need beater for commuting on Denver's shit roads >buy first seemingly decent car I find, couldn't give a fuck at that point >rebuilt from salvage Accord wagon from shady inner-city used car lot, 165k miles, $2300, F22B2 5MT >surprisingly nice shape, rebuilt to a good standard, can tell it was maintained well previously, looks really nice >do TB/WP and reseal the front of the motor, tune-up, fluids, tires, Excel G's, a few coolant hoses and seals etc >put 10k miles on it in the first few months >sell my fun car in order to get a different fun car >wreck the accord into the back of a tundra at 20mph the day my fun car is sold, dumb fuckup on my part hood and FR fender fucked to shit, so is core support and the structural member behind the fender, holes in the radiator
>insurance totals car, I intend to just turn it in and replace it >rape the living shit out of it for a few days as a final hurrah >take it "rallying", dump the clutch at stoplights, bash limiter, fucking PLOW over curbs at 30-40 mph in the snow on several occasions (by accident) >barely any coolant in the fucking thing, try to top it off with water as it leaks out profusely >literally unaffected other than mild alignment deterioration >start to feel bad for the piece of shit, don't want to buy another daily with newly acquired fun car money >"buy it back" from insurance co for like $150 >put some shitty autozone radiator in it, half assedly replace and bleed the coolant >get drunk and go to the U-Pull-your-dick -- an afternoon, a slide hammer, and $100 worth of mismatched panels and lights later and it's good as new
>take it skiing a couple of times >seems fine >spring break, fuckall to do >decide to drive it to LA from Denver just 4 fun >lose the hubcaps for easier tire pressure adjustment, full beaner shitbox mode on black steelies >deserted I70/I15 the whole way there until Vegas >doing 95-110 the whole time, screaming at 4000-4700 RPM, fucking bombing down the canyons >bum around LA for a week, accord performs flawlessly >off my ass on ketamine the whole time so it just feels like playing San Andreas IRL >make the trip in one day both ways >34 MPG on the way down, 27 on the way back (hell of a climb) >went out to get tendies today >first time using it since I parked it upon returning, covered in filth from intense I70 snowstorm >still just completely fucking fine
I know it's technically American and all, but I'm glad I fell for an Veeky Forums meme this time around and gave gayass Honda a chance
I've got a brief scenic video of it parked along PCH in full shitbox dress but it's not like anyone gives a shit
Camden Rivera
Dunno. R18 maybe? 140 reliable HP would be plenty in a fit. Can't imagine they cost a lot either
Alexander Morgan
I checked it out in person, doesn't look like an H engine unfortunately, definitely some kind of B series. Cam and springs and all that is full expected, just not gonna extra nuts for expensive stuff, that's all. But thank you for the tips, that's all very doable.
Justin Myers
I own a Del Sol I sold my Skoda I brought a Freelander I have all I need
