This number would be considerably higher if they included the number of accidents alone that driving in such a manner would be the cause of, let alone the amount of nonfatal injuries they've caused. It's dangerous stuff even on closed roads and something the taxpayer pays for. There were over 100 accidents in my city of 300,000 last year caused by people from all backgrounds and driving all different types of cars in different settings "street racing". Though some of these were the same person crashing 2 or even 3 times.

There are two circuit tracks, four dragstrips and three circle tracks withing an hour and a half of my house for fairly cheap and people still insist on driving like shitheads on the street. A good portion of them think legal racing is for cucks and don't go to them out of principle, though they're usually just NEETs who are too lazy to get a job and can barely afford a car as it is
