>Automatic is superior in every way
Except they're more expensive to fix and buy, and they're less involving for some, who enjoy the simple sensation driving. That alone is enough for most enthusiasts to prefer manuals.

Also pic related, imagine having a manual V12

I saw a group of girls on snapchat last night in a Ford Expedition. I was sitting behind them in traffic at a fed light in the next lane. I dropped the clutch at 7k rpm and drove like a mad man for the next half mile. They immediately got behind me to record

>tfw drive a 113 hp Accent and handholdless hugless kissless virgin but at least I can show off and get a reckless driving ticket and spin my back tires out and fuck my clutch and transmission

Feels good being econobox manual masterrace

I already fantasize about driving a manual V10

imagine being such a fucking faggot that you tack an M badge onto the front end of an 850csi

All cars are boring and expensive, manual or not. motorcycles are better

They were fucking laughing at you lol
>look at this stupid nerd

Who am i quoting?

What do AutoShills gain from this sort of shitposting? Is big slushbox paying you to post here? Or are you really so insecure about your inability to drive fun cars that you seek validation on a Taiwanese crop circle image board?

Is that Monochromatic Yellow i like

>Muh sitting in heavy traffic having to change gears
Why don't you stop embarrassing yourself?

Why is the E46 M3 the best looking car ever made?

What if i just enjoy driving stick?

I don't even mind the traffic

clutch replacement/flywheel resurfacing vs trans overhaul.. what were u saying

changing gears
not moving

pick one

You can change to any gear when you're not moving you stupid fuck its called a clutch

>instead of coming up with an argument ill just play dumb and pretend youre baiting, because i know youre wrong
I just quoted you.

It's literally the truth, dumb cage bitch.

No its just disingenuous to make extrapolations as some sort of analogy then claim "oh I'm just quoting you"

I just quoted you.

Oh well, all women are hoes but they won't fuck me

Manual is good for ecoboxes

>car harder to steal
??????????????
>innificient
???????????????
>changing gears in traffic
???????????????

i know this is obvious bait but im hungry so il bite, explain these points please especially the harder to steal one, how does that work?

>less moving parts
>usually more durable
>require no ecu control unlike modern automatics
>makes the driver more involved in driving and therefore more attentive
Other than that yeah muh feels

Manual is
>lighter
>more reliable
>smaller package

>pulls out without looking
>watches you fly over the bonnet and smack your head

Nothing personnel

automatics can't into hooning

>avoids you because biking takes actual thought and attention, unlike sitting in a boring cage

A boring cage with a stereo, air con, heaters, heated seats, air bags...

But tell me more about how cool you are while you waggle your arse in their like a cat in heat.

I'll take it in the winter, but for summer, bikes all the way. You have to be a boring dummy not to buy a bike for summer driving.

>he thinks we care

pathetic.

>stereo
I would rather hear the glorious roar of the engine between my legs, but there are always ear buds
>air con
The wind feels much fucking better
>heaters
Pussy
>heated seats
These arent even arguments
>air bags
Christ you really have no arguments
>m-muh air bags!!!!

thats nice driving. I would roll my car trying to do that

>finances a 10yo car
>calls people with brand new cars that are manuel poor

>inefficient
Wrong

>Muh sitting in heavy traffic having to change gears
It's honestly not bad when you're comfortable with the clutch as long as you give yourself a little space so you don't need to keep stopping.

>t. Amerifat who can't even control his own car properly

Thats some good driving

REEEEE NO ONE CAN BE ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN BECAUSE MY DAD NEVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO DRIVE STICK

Not him but I believe the harder to steal thing implies many people cannot drive a stick

I’m 19 and about to get my first car with money I’ve been saving up. My dad wants to give me money to pay for it as well but he doesn’t want me driving a manual for some reason. Is it difficult to teach yourself how to drive stick?

Because It's not.

>113hp accent
>Spin back tires

Thank you! I understeered it into a snowbank 2 times this year so that it needed towing to get out, aside from that I think I had a pretty good k/d-r.

Indeed it is. It's an interesting drive, surface can come polished quite fast in some spots so one lap you're sliding along fine, then next you go long. Studs are pretty much a must.

Bald 105's maybe?

Not difficult you'll just have to fuck up a few times

>automatics
>driving manuals with synchromesh

Get on my level. Non-synchro 1+2

>inefficient
Its still the most efficient way to change gears

Muh I can't drive cars with a manual transmission thread

>mfw 59hp
>mfw can't even spin my tires on snowy roads

What the fuck Clover, I'm not Australian.
165s, for the record.

Don't listen to . You don't need to fuck up. I didn't and so can you.

Not difficult. I learnt at 17. Like the majority of English 17 year olds. Never see automatics here.

ive never had a problem driving manual in heavy traffic. i'd actually go so far as to say i prefer it because im not softly applying the brakes the whole time like in an auto.

This. I hate driving an auto slowly because of that.

Enjoy replacing your worn clutches all the time stickfags, we autochads dont have to worry about that shit

Why are so fucking lazy? Ride the bus then if shifting gear is too much for you.

>What is transmission fluid

muh non self-driving car
muh driving
muh off the grid
muh inefficient use of road space
muh creating traffic jams because can't move in unison with others and can crash
self-driving is better in every way

How much of a soyboy is your dad? Fucking hell

Back to school Manuel

Kids have tried stealing my clean aw11 but the manual transmission has stopped them

>autos require no maintenance.

You’re right. For a daily driver, you get an automatic. You pick the manual for the weekend car.

It technically is an M car.
As a top-of-the-range sports tourer, the 850CSi took over from the prototype M8. The 850CSi used the same engine as the 850i, which was tuned so significantly that BMW assigned it a new engine code: BMW S70B56. The modifications included a capacity increase to 5.6 liters and power increase to 380 PS (279 kW; 375 hp).

It got an "S" code in front of the engine name like every other M car had.

Attached: 250px-Moteur_barba.jpg (250x166, 12K)

>Automatic is superior in every way
Not really. What bothers most people is that you become a slave to however the transmission is tuned. Slow to downshift? Won't hold revs? Denies downshifts for fuel economy? Too bad - you're stuck with it. At least with a manual I can have exert some control and try to work around any issues.

TC Automatics regardless of gearset are heavy power sapping shit. Only people who shouldn't be driving want this.
H pattern is error prone shit that gets worse as you exceed 6 speeds. Only boomers stuck in the past and driving cars with truck engines and truck gear ratios want this *muh skippan gears! 1 low to 3 high!*
Synchros are slow shit, only people who can't shift want them
DCT is heavy shit, see above
CVT is weak shit, and that sucks because it's the god transmission for actually racing and for lazy faggots

The only good transmission is a single clutch sequential with dog rings

>inb4 too hard to use
I don't have a problem with it.

Attached: 1506469812372.png (2000x1123, 440K)

a clutch lasts 150k miles , maybe 120k if you replace it the moment it starts to smell when you floor it uphill in 6th

>muh delusional copes
transmissionlets, when will they learn? no matter how much you try to meme it you will always be an inferior faggot

I'm at 180k on my truck and it isn't worn out

>ear buds

Those who wear headphones or ear buds in traffic deserve the fucking rope

I based that estimate off economy cars and similar, so what Veeky Forums drives

You know, lots of revs and slip needed on hills, crawling through traffic by slipping in first, that kind of daily abuse. Truck clutches tend to last longer especially if you hardly ever tow.

That's because motorcycles are only bought by enthusiasts and cares are bought by people who don't actually want cars, but might want tractors.

Motorcycle riders need ear plugs at high speeds to fend off wind noise damaging their ears

I agree tho, if it's heavy traffic

Trolling; post obviously incorrect information to annoy.

You've all been trialled in the most obvious way.

>tfw got a manual and drive slower than everyone else and might blow up my car before the cost savings from having a manual and cheaper parts would ever matter
