congratulations, you've dug up the cheapest shitbox available

>awd for under 3k
Lmao. How fun justifying your purchase tho

Let me introduce you to the 2007+ Suzuki SX4, AWD, manual, light, cheap.

Toyota Previa AWD

CRV has "realtime AWD", ive put almost 100k on mine now and spent less than 2k car+parts

>under 3k

Not anymore.

People are getting wise and snapping these buggers up. Glad I got mine ($1400) before all the PNWfags started flying to TX to get rust free ones, driving up the prices.

you're delusional man

you can get these shitboxes for under 3 grand all fucking day and will be able to until they all rust into the ground
that being said they're not that bad of cars as long as the head gaskets are addressed

t. Coloradoan

Havent purchased it yet.gonna.

Southern states S000n. Gonna take ot to cali and bring back 5 lbs

2x HRV

Bought mine in Alaska for 2k years ago but even now looking at ads in TX, and seeing like 2 in the wild, they're still less than 3k.

I drive a 2000 2.5 5spd, new gaskets, clutch.
It's pretty good on the shit roads here, lots of space inside, very 'practical'.
but desu looking for something else b/c
>dyke car

It will probably be a great shitbox but pepper your Angus for head gaskets if the previous hasn't put aftermarkets in

Suburban/Yukon XL can be had any day of the week for $2-3K. 3K gives you a top notch one. Leather seats, third row seating towing capabilities, etc

At that rate OP may as well get a Pathfinder or a Montero and have something that resembles usable fuel economy and a drivetrain fit for am SUV, instead of that 4L60/10 bolt trash in the Yukon/Burb

Year?

I hear early 00s was great

98

Fiat panda 4x4

Any n/a 2.0 Impreza can be bought for less than 3k, why bother with outback?

because OP has pretensions of believing his car is an offroader

He likes ro replace head gaskets constantly.

No problem. Gonna list a few from my country's equivalent of Craigslist.
Audi A6 Quattro
Nissan X-Trail
VW Golf mk4
Subaru Impreza
Audi A4 Quattro
Mitsubishi Pajero
Audi 100 Quattro
VW Passat B5
Opel Frontera
BMW 320xd
Nissan Terrano
Subaru Forester
Toyota RAV-4
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Suzuki Vitara
Audi 80 Quattro
Suzuki Jimny
Honda CR-V

No volvo xc70?

No.

VW Passat B5/B5.5 4motion
VW Golf 4 4motion
VW Bora 4motion
Audi A4 B5 quattro 1.9 TDI AJM 116 bhp is actually a really good tractor.
Ford Mondeo 2.0 4x4 (abit rare tho)
Skoda Octavia Mk1 4x4
Fiat Panda 4x4
Audi A6 Allroad but its a POS, avoid like the plague.

Id say the best out of this bunch is the A4 B5 1.9TDI 116 bhp AJM Quattro.

Didn't scroll that far. They're quite expensive

The second gen which is better.
Not in the US, the only 2.0 sold here was the WRX until the 2013 N/A Impreza which you are definitely not getting for $3k.
Aftermarket headgaskets are not the cure, Subaru has a revised p/n that is a much better MLS design that completely fixes the issue. I'd trust one with those, but not quite so much with aftermarkets.

Just get a civic with snow tires.

A S T R O V A N

Audi TT

Passat and A4 are basically an A6. And all other are haldex. Panda is fucking great though, would drive. Even if it's Italshit.
