You'd just use stock or combat protocol to break overwatch/suppression. Or worst case scenario grenades. And the only time I see multiple enemies go on overwatch rather than shoot is when they're disoriented and have too low of a chance to hit anyway. It's too specific of a situation.

It'd be better if his range were increased so you'd have to dash away from the shot. It would rob that soldier of a turn which would be bad but not devastating. It's kind of what the Warlock does already; you have to use your turn to kill his dumb zombies instead of doing something useful.

Once you get plasma and can set them on fire, yes. Also works against Crysalids since they can't melee when on fire. Also works against you, never run through fire for a melee strike.

Same reason that Gatekeepers and Codex take extra damage from Bluescreen. Funny enough, Bluescreen also bypasses shields, making them a good counter against Kinetic Plating.

It's actually not that bad once you realize that the Commander has to get to the evac zone and doesn't automatically leave in 4 turns. Just camp near the zone.

Month 4, roughly. My personal research priority is modded weps -> biotech -> captain autopsy -> nanoscale vest -> faceless autopsy -> mag weapons. By then I probably have 2-3 scientists and I can snag mag weapons in month 4 and plated armor in month 5. That sates me for a while, then I try to get psionics/elerium, relevant autopsies, and trend towards beam weapons. Once you have mag weapons, you're good until andromedons start showing up. You have a bit of breathing room.

Burning is much better than stun. It imposes huge aim penalties and prevents them from doing the things that make them dangerous in the first place. A burning muton can be safely melee'd.

Mag weapons have better crits, one more slot and still higher damage.
More importantly, you can't get the same breakthrough twice so its pointless in the end game.

Once you realize Tygan is shitting you when he said the breakthrough never going to proc ever again if you ignore it, you can ignore breakthroughs during early game during the rush for mag weapons. All breakthroughs you haven't researched yet going to keep proc during end game until you researched them

It's just the three character types added in the expansion. My other soldiers are fine, but if I try to customize any of the new units, the game crashes when I try to go back to the armory.

The AI isn't actually better in a Better AI except for mimic beacon behavior (i.e., mutons will just shoot at it instead of run into the open to melee it). But it also takes away the Stunlancers' shtick and they mostly just shoot.

It's just unnecessary.

I dropped textures down, that seems to have fixed it.

The enemies are not unique enough to justify them. The only one I liked is the specialist ADVENT or whatever it is that can explode your own grenades. With the addition of new enemy types in WOTC I see no reason why anyone would use it.

Increased enemy count is also completely unbalanced even if you use a ton of mods to try to fix it. Too many corpses, too much experience, timer adjustments are either too much or too little, etc.

The cheating also only applies if you're on non-Legend.

ABA has way too many gimmicky and useless enemies.
