when I was younger, I used to think the ending to Sonic Adventure 2 wasn't sad at all all, especially since none of the characters were crying their eyes out because of Shadow. When I replayed the game as an adult, I actually did cry. Only after losing family members and friends and actually going to funerals did I realize people have their own ways of dealing with death. If someone isn't bawling, it doesn't mean they're not upset. If you rewatch the ending, most of the characters are upset, it's just subtle. It's more relatable this way.

I'm pretty sure Knuckles didn't have a Master Emerald to worry about in the OVA.

The Sonic side had all reason to complain. FP was a former Sonic hack that used assets of Sonic games, it was shilled as hell and the devs themselves thought it was the next best Sonic game without Sonic and expected to get really big.

If Angel Island was around it would just be another floating island in the sky, since I think we're supposed to draw the conclusion that it's post-apocalypse and the surface-world is Bad Future uninhabitable.

I just want the writers of the show to write the games, just make them write a bit more seriously and it'd be great.

I think it's more like the OVA actually presented the personalities the characters were already given by the Japanese continuity. Adventure just continued to flesh them out no differently

he would also be able to shoot hedgehog beams out of his gloves and feet if he consumes enough lemon sauce and refines it with his digestive tract which is augmented with Vrill energy from joseph mengeles experiments

he has a rank of SS Obersturmbahnnfuhrer and personally led the Einsatzgruppen in Poland
