I'm new to these games and I plan on buying all of the main ones but are any of the spin-offs worth getting too?

Definitely get Noire's game.

Not that user, but what makes you say that? I found it to be rather shoddy.
I mean if Noire is my least favorite nep- and she is the least annoying thing in her own game- to me things are kinda fucky.
But to set my prejudices aside- what did you get out of it?

I'd recommend Nep U if you want a generic Senran Kagura kinda rip-off, but the game is pretty fun and kinda lewd. If you want something that has basically the same gameplay as the originals (or the remakes) then take SeHa.

MegaTagmension is boring as shit. It plays slower than a granny. Nep U has a more fast-paced gameplay. Sure they did improve the systems and added multiplayer and stuff. But it felt boring to me. Not to mention that you can grind on multiplayer alone.

Yes it is, not to mention the wait to use skills and the smaller skill bar it has. It sure was fun to keep spamming skill attacks on Nep U.

It does not. The only reason it feels faster is because everyone has a combo they can infinitely chain and therefore remove all challenge from the game by stunlocking everything until they die.

No, otherwise I wouldn't had nabbed all the achievements on steam by constantly grinding on that game. But it just felt boring to me. Hell Nep U was funnier to grind.

Can't forget, 53 hours registered, every achievement, every quest (even on multiplayer) cleared with SSS ranking, every weapon, every single cosmetic item. Yeah I think that wraps it up.

Well still, in my terms of fun MegaTagmension just didn't do the job. No clothes ripping and shit were also boring. I just felt it on the first mission when Blanc's hammer attack was slower. Hell, even Uni shoots slow as shit on MegaTagmension, and why the hell does Uzume fights with her fists on it (I guess it makes more sense but still)? The only thing I liked was the addition of Plutia, Peashy and Uzume and Tamsoft?(nobody gives a shit about her anyway)

It's basically ReBirth 4 with improved gameplay and a heavy focus on Planeptune.

I played it on the Vita and liked it a lot. I was hungry for another Neptunia RPG since I'd finished the four mainline games, and it's the only thing similar to them.

It'd be a different story if the dude wasn't buying seven other games along with it, but as it is by the time the dude completed/gets bored of the other seven games SeHa would've gone through like a sale or three. There's no point in rushing to it now.

You can easily complete all of those games in a month.

You can also easily cross the entire continental US in less than a month, that's not the same thing as saying you will.

I like how their relationship seems much more real in SeHa, they're not all "friendship is magic" to each other.

And obviously the focus on Nep, she's the one who carries the series after all.

The Sega Hard Girls 'friendships' barely even count as such, they're so lacking in warmth. Though I don't think Neptunia has ever exactly been a sentimental series.
