Newbie here. After trying all of the characters, I keep coming back to Necalli/Alex/Akuma and I don't know which one to pick because I like them all. Help

Is it weird that if I main a character in one game, I feel like im sort of required to play a similar character in another? Like say I play Jam, now I feel like i'm supposed to play Makoto in BB, stuff like that

if people like a certain playstyle in one game then there's no reason why they wouldnt be attracted to a similar playstyle in another game

I don't think it's weird but it's pretty different from me.
Necalli pretty much embodies the Jive playstyle and is basically the new Ryu in how simple he is to learn execution-wise and in understanding his gameplan.
I don't think Alex is a bad choice either if you enjoy his playstyle but there are too many memes around about Alex being low tier that it's easy to fall for them and blame the character

I don't really stick with any particular gameplay type. I played Filia in Skullgirls, which is rushdown as fuck, and now I play Guile in SFV which is more of a zoner, defensive character

I've always regretted never buying Rev.X because the US title and box art made it look like western shovelware unless you looked really close.
So they are blockable, even if it's very hard to. An unblockable means that it can't be blocked, no matter how skilled you are or how in disadvantage/advantage your opponent is.

I don't know, the only thing that gives an unfinished vibe to me is the artwork itself but that slideshow style is used commonly in Japanese games.
