I'm guessing it means storywise she'll be doing a more earlier on in 'history' instead of mostly being Liu Shan's tard wrangler, probably along with the similarly younger designed Guan Ping again.

I'm extremely butt blasted with Sima Shi since everyone he was announced with were old characters that got turned into clones while he got to keep his. I'm aware he's not that unpopular but so many characters that got 40-50% more votes than he did are clones now. I want to complain about Guan Ping being unpopular but getting to keep his weapon too but he's been around for a while so I can't really justify it.

God, I hope Wen Yang doesn't get cloned. His moveset in 8 was pretty flawed since it could only clear crowds in a straight line in front of him but those EX attacks felt satisfying as hell and it actually sounds like the new combat system would solve a lot of its problems (since it'd by default have more options for wide crowd attacks with the trigger system) while still potentially keeping those EX attacks.

Clones suck but they haven't hit me too hard yet. I'm a huge Zhang He fan but I still like him for who he is so I'll live. I'm way more bothered by how this is by far my least favorite design of his rather than his missing claws.

But Yuan Shao's render had the extending rapier still, which while pretty similar is still technically different from the rapier that Liu Shan used.

He kept his sword but all the evidence points towards it being a skin without the moveset. If they at the very least give him the kirin fang moves instead of the generic sword set (which would fit him better anyway) I might be able to live with it.

Taishi Ci's set to keep his rods which is sort of baffling given how little of a role he has (historically, in the books, and in all the games) but I'm glad either way, was the first guy I played and he's always had a satisfying moveset. Dian Wei's still got the axe. All in all I'm doing better than most but it still hurts.

Xu Sheng and Zhang Bao use the meteor hammer, Gan Ning uses the chain and sickel. Dong Zhuo uses the flail.

The best thing about this reveal is that Zhang Bao has a full shirt/chest plate this time around. Can't believe they have Gan Ning still running around without a shirt, though.

Maybe we'll get a ROTK costume pack.
